We only stayed here for 1 night and I'm so very mad with myself that I didn't give this site more of my time. It deserved it as its a beautiful site in a beautiful place. We will return for a longer holiday to explore the area.

Lots of positives about this site - very clean, decent space between well delineated pitches, friendly bar/restaurant, excellent facilities. I like the fact that locals use the bar and come to play Boules as well. Lovely walk along the bank of the Seine to the very pretty town of Petit Andelys and spectacular Chateau Gaillard. I just wish that when campsites are half empty they would let us choose our own pitch - I accept that the riverside ones were full, but there was no need for us to be on the end of a row at a crossroads. As ever the huts/statics/glamping units seem to be spreading and taking the best pitches. It is however a popular site and the vast majority of tourers were British or Dutch.

We had a riverside pitch on this very large site. Lovely just watching the traffic on the Seine Helpful staff. Good restaurants in Petit Anderlys. Convenient location and we will, having discovered this site by accident, be back. We loved it.

This is a lovely quiet site in a lovely area. Les andeleys is very nice and has 2 supermarkets and plenty of bars and restaurants.
Pitches are very generous and we had enough room for another large tent with our campervan and awning sited. We asked for a riverside pitch and the views were stunning. New facilities are very good with free hot water, old facilities are very dated but functional but were rarely used by anyone! Cleaning appeared to be done on a infrequent basis with a quick wipe down being the order of the day rather than a good thorough clean, sanitary bins weren't emptied for days!
Pool is nice and has a riverside vista - it is cold though! Bar is ok and food is pretty decent. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We stayed for 10 days but would stay here again as a stop-over site. This seems to be it's primary use for most people but we couldn't fault it or the 10 days we stayed. There is a large bouncy castle for the kids, a play park and a small football pitch which saw an excellent multi-national game of five a side.

Lovely site next to the Seine. We had a pitch for 2 nights next to the river so could watch the rising water level but it never really troubled the pitch.
The facilities block was pretty much brand new so very nice.
There is a bar and restaurant on site which we drank in but didn't eat although the food looked nice and the staff were lovely.
A short walk into Le Petit Andely along the river (and a lovely walk it is too if you stay by the river path). A few restaurants and a Boulangerie are in the village but Le Grand Andeley has a supermarket etc and is another 10 minutes walk.
Some nice local walks too and lovely views from surrounding hills and Chateau.

This is a lovely site!
The pitches are very large. It's quiet, clean and friendly. The pool was a handy addition as the weather was unusually hot.
We had a pitch leading onto an off-shoot of the Seine and the wildlife and peace was amazing - we even had beavers swimming in the water in front of us (you can imagine the comments that prompted from my husband. ).
The new toilet block was totally fine - clean and never busy. There were plug sockets in one of the shower rooms which is always a bonus.
Les Andelys was a good stop off on the way to Paris. We stayed for 2 nights and managed a good walk around the valley and up to Chateau Gaillard which is amazing and can be seen from the campsite.
We ended each afternoon with a chilled beer from a bar/tabac in the town square opposite the church - perfect.
I would highly recommend this site.

We stayed at this site, located just south of Rouen, on our way to the Dordogne. It's located adjacent to the river Seine and some of the pitches overlook the river giving lovely views.
Some reviews state the pitches are fairly small but we found most were huge and easily swallowed up our large twin axel with acres of space still available on the pitch. Each pitch is separated by a low hedge but doesn't give any privacy from the adjacent pitch as it's probably only waist high.
The welcome was nice enough and the gentleman on reception spoke a bit of English so booking in was straightforward enough. Access is through and electronic barrier which was opened for us by the man in reception as we approached the barrier. Unfortunately we weren't given any card or code to return to the site if we wanted to drive out for the evening so we had to stay on site.
There's a small pool near reception, along with a bar and small restaurant. The very tired sanitary block is also near reception, however, there is a nice new block now open near the middle of the site. The showers were brilliant, although there were millions of dead flies in the toilet area so I'm not sure how frequently they're cleaned.
We wouldn't stay here for more than an overnight stay, partly because it seemed to be of a fairly low standard compared to a lot of other sites we've stayed at.

Used this site as a stopover before visiting Monets house at Giverny which is about half an hour away and now has better parking for motorhomes with the coaches.
Site flat with large pitches with good hedging dividing the pitches. Staff friendly, helpful and spoke English.
Walked into the old town of Les Petit Andelys and would recommend the bread from the bakery, best we tried all holiday. We discovered, on the way back, that it's better to walk along the river path rather than the pavement next to the road as this appears to be a main road with lots of HGV's and narrow paths.
Bar/takeway seemed to have good prices and across the road we noticed the bar offered a Les Routiers menu all day 12. 50 euros for 5 courses and half carafe of wine, maybe we'll try this next time!
Would agree with the points about the toilets but have to say that they were building a new block of toilet and showers whilst we were there that looked as though they were nearly finished, this should help when the site is busy.
Accepted ACSI so reasonable cost for the stay.

Was given a pitch next to the river which was great though rather small and was able to watch the river traffic. Nice walk along the river into the town which is well worth seeing. The site warden was very helpful and the site itself is worth a stop if travelling further on.
Now the down side!
The toilet block needs a massive update and I totally agree with what has been already said so no need to add further.
The fresh water points are few and far afield and took us some time to find.
The pitches are rather small and surrounded by hedges which to be fair do offer some privacy.
I would only recommend this site for a couple of nights because of the poor toilet fascilities.
A trip to Monet's garden is well worth it

This site is well located with good pitches but is let down by its toilet facilities, especially for men. Of the two toilet blocks on site there was only one working sit down men’s toilet, the others being the “hole in the ground” type. The ladies faired a bit better with two normal toilets in one block and four in the other. This is a fairly big site and the toilet facilities, especially for men are inadequate. We came here because it was listed as an ACSI site. A lot of ACSI customers are retired people like ourselves and are often not physically able to use the “hole in the ground “type toilets. We were also put off by the motorhome water filling point with its hose pipe lying alongside the chemical emptying point. Otherwise the site is a pleasant one on the banks of the Seine overlooked by a castle from chalky cliffs. The pitches are grassy well marked and fairly large, bordered by hedging. Electric points were plentiful but we had to walk a bit further for a water point. Doggy poop bags were provided free for any accidents. There is a lovely riverside walk from the bridge outside the gates along the river and into Les Andelys. The town has several marked walking trails around it.
