We were the only tent on site, 3 touring caravans on field next door, very hilly field flattest area at the top of the field. Toilets & shower in part of the dance studio £10 deposit for key, clean & tidy, my concern would be if there were more than half a dozen tents there are only one toilet & shower per male & female facilities, no pot wash area either. Apart from this a very quiet site. We didn't use any of the clubhouse facilities. If in the area would us this site again, as long as there were not too many people on the site.

We chose this site for our first ever camping expedition because it was small, fairly local to us and only accepted families and couples. A fellow camper - an older gentlemen on a cycling tour - told us he had emailed and was told that this was most definitely a quiet site.
We were therefore disappointed to be kept awake until 3am by a large group of men camping in the field right next door to the site (also owned by the Golf Club). There were no staff on site to deal with the problem and we were frankly scared to approach them ourselves.
The Golf Club also had a function on and loud music was easily audible until 1am.
Coupled with several cars arriving in the early hours and a misfunctioning car alarm you could say we did not enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside!
The site itself was adequate. There was one small basin and one toilet cubicle in each of the male/female washrooms, along with a shower with a plain glass door (and the outer washroom door could not be locked).
The facility to use the Golf Club's pool for the children's Splash Hour was good (and reasonable value at £2 per person).
The bar staff were helpful and opened up the area with the vending machines in when we needed a chocolate fix.
My children enjoyed running around the edges of the (not busy) Par 3 course next to the site but there were a couple of unfenced ponds with steep sides to watch out for, and the road - while not busy - seemed to attract speed freaks.
Our dog was welcome but we were not told when checking in where to walk him, and we got told off by a lady (who said she was the course owner's mother) when she was walking her dog on the area where we were apparently not allowed.

A Camping & Caravanning Club Certified Site.
Site is a creative use of a small area presumably not suitable for golf. This is what Certified Sites / Locations are all about.
Very simple pricing structure – currently £10/night – and that’s it!
The pitching area is pretty level and just inside the entrance adjacent to the car park for the Par 3 course and Fitness Studio. The wc is in the Fitness Studio and is accessed with a key provided (£10 returnable deposit). The showers (free) are with the swimming pool in the main complex the other side of a, not too busy, road. As you might imagine, being a golf club, they are first class.
The pitching area backs onto the golf course which is nice. However, it is marred by being completely open to the road only approximately 45m away. As a result, you are entirely exposed. A hawthorn hedge has been planted and when this grows to enclose the pitching area, it will feel totally transformed. I have given an overall rating of 5/10 for this reason alone which is a pity.
The bar/restaurant is available to campers and all the other facilities can be used by buying a ‘Guest Pass’. See their website for full details.
Local shop and (good) Indian restaurant 3 minutes away in Bourn village. Morrisons Supermarket 10 minutes away in Cambourne. I don’t know why, but Cambourne reminded me of a bigger version of the village where Patrick McGoohan was The Prisoner. (Remember – “You are No 6”, “I am not a number, I’m a free man”?)
Do not visit Cambridge during the day by car as parking is very restricted and expensive. After 18.30 it is a much more reasonable £1.50 evening charge. The Park & Ride is OK at £2.20/person, or there is the number 18 bus from The Golden Lion in Bourn village with a journey time of approximately 35 minutes.
