This is a nice site about 15minutes walking distance from the centre of Freiburg. The owners speak perfect English and were very welcoming. They take you to your pitch.
The pitches are very close together, but this can be normal for a lot of European campsites. The toilets and showers were spotless and as mentioned earlier you have to take your own toilet roll, but there is soap.
We liked this site because it was very central for Freiburg, which is a lovely city, but because you are very close to your neighbours I don't think we would stay any more than two or three nights

Pleasant site in a really nice position just a few minutes from freiburg. Site is set on a hill in a mainly residential area. Very peaceful, but only 15 mins from the centre of town and bus stop just outside gate.
We were shown to our pitch and helped to park. Facilities clean and free showers, but you do need your own loo roll (there is a supply for emergencies!)
Good indoor communal room for meals next to kitchen area
Had one of the nicest meals of our trip in the bar/restaurant next to the site- would recommend a visit (though they don't speak English)
Nice base for a few days to explore the Black Forrest

This turned out to be the most expensive caravan site we have ever visited. We were charged for the pitch, the electricity used and Wi-Fi, in all averaging 30 euros per day. Very expensive for what is a below average site.
The site is on the outskirts of Freiburg. The entrance is very tight. Once checked in, there is a steep climb to where the terraced pitches are located on a hillside. All the caravans & motorhomes were crammed on, very close to each other with zero privacy.
The pitches were sloping and made up of soft sandy & gritty soil with scrubby grass & weeds around the edge. Water supply & waste facilities looked like they belonged in the stone age. The shower block down the hill looked modern (we use our own on board facilities).
The staff were very friendly & helpful. Freiburg town is within walking distance & very beautiful, though not many concessions to the English language. We enjoyed our evening walks by the river and our visits to the Black Forest, Triberg & Titisee.

We were supposed to use this site as a stop-over on our way to Bavaria but we liked it, and the area, so much that we actually stayed there for the whole 14 days!
You are welcomed by very efficient, English speaking staff who personally take you to your pitch and will help guide you into the pitches.
The pitches themselves vary in size. None of them are huge but most are perfectly adequate. We saw people with huge double-axle caravans and a motorhome the size of a bus get fitted on without much trouble. Our pitch was big enough for the car, caravan and awning and still left a good amount of space for sitting. If you really want a big pitch then just book ahead as, otherwise, it is first come first served.
The site, and the town of Freiburg, boast great 'green' credentials and there are recycling points, solar water hearing, composting, lovely gardens etc all around the site and town. The whole area is really geared up for cycling and you can go for miles on cycle paths without ever needing to go on the road.
The town is in the Black Forest and a 1 minute walk up the hill behind the site serves as a wonderful entrance point into this beautiful natural world. There are many hundreds of miles of trails, all signposted!
It is a 20 minute walk along the river to the town where you can buy anything you can think of and, much nearer, there are also a good supermarket, shops and many many bakeries.
All in all a brilliant base for the Black Forest and we'll be back soon I am sure. Just remember to take your bikes!

Stayed here for five nights as a base for exploring the Black Forest. The campsite is located on the edge of town and only takes about 15 minutes (along the road) to walk there (with young children).
A longer route is available through the woods at the back. The pitches on the main part of the campsite are OK although they do like to 'pack them in'.
There is a field at the back only for tents although you can't park your car there - we had to park on the road, although we could come in to put up/take down. The facilities are excellent, clean toilets, showers, washing up area, washing machine/dryer.
There is a shop on-site where you can order croissant etc for breakfast and a small cafe also a a small children's play area. The evening curfew (10. 30pm) is very tightly enforced. Would probably come here again but only as a transit stop a couple of nights is enough.
Freiburg is well worth a visit and really great family deals available on public transport on a Sunday - talk to site staff.

We stayed here on route to switzerland and italy on a grand tour. It was our first stop after the chunnel and was a good days drive from calais.
Our sat nav took us directly to it and it was fine with our motorhome but I would have been a bit nervous with a caravan, some of the town roads were quite narrow with double parking. The welcome was warm and english was spoken.
Facilities were excellent particularly if you were tenting with picnic benches near the tent field and a cooking room. Loos were clean and showers ok. We were directed where to park to millimetre perfection on a pitch that was really tight, only to find our dutch neighbour then turned his van around when the man had gone so that we were really close, not uk cc standards, that's for sure.
Freiburg and the black forest were an absolute delight and the location fo the site for freiburg could not be bettered. It was an easy 15 walk into town which is fab for wandering and shopping. We did a days cycling along the river, we were so impressed with how cycle friendly the town and area is, cycle paths and bikes everywhere you look. We will be back to Freiburg.

We stayed at the campsite at the beginning of September for 2 nights, and despite one day of rain, we had a fabulous time. The campsite was clean and tidy and the staff (and other campers) very friendly and helpful. The chap at reception came with us to help us into our place (neatly arranged with other camper vans of a similar type!) and spoke good English (despite my schoolgirl efforts at German).
The showers were hot (and free), and the loos and wash hand basins lovely and clean. There was a loo roll dispenser on the wall near the wash hand basins.
We also paid for internet connection whilst we were there and it worked just fine. If a little slow!
Our dog was accepted and no one came to shout at us for her not being on a lead at all times (which as most dog owners will agree, is very difficult to ensure constantly if a dog is to relax as well!)
When we arrived, we were given a map of the site and a very helpful route map of Freiburg showing the main sites of interest. Freiburg is a lovely old town and has plenty to keep you going for a day or so. I would recommend the little museum in the gatehouse which has an intriguing collection of little painted metal figures in landscapes depicting battle scenes throughout time. Kids would love it!
The price was acceptable and we would definitely visit again.

We arrived at the site in July and checked in at the very friendly reception, they spoke excellent English, and were taken to our pitch by a member of staff, well, when I say pitch I use the word loosely, there was a space between a motorhome and another tourer. I was then asked if I had a mover as the pitch was on the second row of a terrace and sloped down towards the lower tier.
I had the van on the pitch when the man came back and told me to move it further onto the pitch and with his guidance the jockey wheel was taken to the very edge of the terrace, so if you wanted to go around the front of the van you had to go down the terrace then back up again.
After this I was told to put our car behind the van which I did so the wing mirror was almost touching it as we had to leave room for others to pass, so with the front over the terrace and the car so tight to the back of the van it was a long walk around our van. When we put up our lightweight awning the man in the motorhomes window opened onto it. This was a standard pitch as I asked the manager if this was normal.
The showers were very clean, and yet again you had to take own toilet paper. Although they were very clean.
The shop on site was well stocked and you could order bread or even breakfast at the reception.
There should of been internet but they were hit by a lightening strike the week before, so it was unavailable whilst we were there.
This is a very good site to cycle from and the reception will give you maps and tips for a very nice restaurant (fantastic black forest gateau, and the children were even taken into the pantry to choose what they wanted).
Its also a great site to visit the southern black forest, although we ventured to Badeb Baden to do the Black forest drive, its about 100km from the site.
The town of freiburg was wonderful especially at night, you could walk in to town in about 30 mins, and the restaurants in the town square are very good although a little expensive.
Overall we enjoyed our stay at the site and will go back again.

Had everything you expect and a few extras.
Showers were good as far as I can remember. Good temperature and were relatively clean.
Lots of things to do for all ages.
Pitches were well spaced out. The site was a bit different than a common big open field so it was nice.
Competitive price. Certainly not overpriced
Overall we were very impressed and enjoyed our one night stay
