Went for the August bank holiday weekend the weather was not great but we still had a good time,
The owners are really friendly and helpful there is a small fishing pool with big fish in it I caught a 5lb carp but plenty of bigger fish in there,
The site is only small but big enough that the owners care about the campers, and you are not a number like some places that I have been to, also they do not charge extra for awnings, extra car, etc what you are told that is the price.
The toilet block has one shower and one toilet in the ladies and the gents, could do with perhaps another toilet as there is plenty of room for one, that is the only negative comment but it would not put me off going again

Very hard to find farm, had to ring site even though we were on the right road, but worth it when we got there. What a lovely peaceful site. Its a working stables so was wonderful to get up close to the horses and watch as they were groomed, fed and trained. And a fishing lake with ducks and a bench to chill out on. Lovely welcome from owners. 3 pubs with food within walking distance, had lunch in the Church.
Ladies and Gents loo, 1 loo, sink and shower, old but clean, didn't use shower so I can't comment.
Lots of room each pitch.
A nice walk into Macclesfield, and when shopped out, the No 14 bus gets you back to the Church pub. Peaceful walk along the canal, or could cycle to either. Not sure I could relax if I had my Grandchildren with me, a big drop off field to stream below, ok for older children.

Just got back after spending 5 nights at this fantastic site. We arrived to a very friendly and informative reception from Mrs Bullock, telling us of local walks, pubs and te best eating places.
Our plot was fantastic looking onto a field with stream and a couple of horses in. Bought some fresh farm eggs a couple of green ones from the two new hens, and have got to say they tasted fantastic.
We did some lovely walks, up to Teggs Nose and Mc Forest, easy walks from the site, even walked into Maclesfield town centre via the canal. We will definitely be back to this site in the very near future.

Never stayed on a CS site before but so glad we found this one.
The site is on a working farm with stables so there were lots of horses around which my daughter was ecstatic about being horse mad! Owners were nice and friendly.
Lovely camping field with about 12 pitches most with EHU. No play area but there is a stream (you'd have to be careful with very young children here as there is quite a drop down to the stream and it isn't fenced off) so kids had a great time paddling with their wellies on. Separate toilet facilities for Ladies and Gents - each housing one toilet and one shower (which cost 20p) and were kept nice and clean. No pot washing area but we just filled our bowl with some hot water and washed up at the tent. BBQ's and crackle logs are allowed as long as they are kept off the grass.
2 pubs within walking distance both serving food. Didn't try the food in the one we went to (The Church) but they had a reasonable menu and food looked good, they also had a fairly decent outdoor play area for the children.
Site has great views and is very peaceful - had a wonderful night here and will definitely be back

Just back from Janmar. It was an unplanned visit after a dreadful weekend. We only live in Cheadle so wanted somewhere as close to home as possible with our new Dandy folding camper. The site is hard to spot once on Janmar Road you need to look out on the left for small sign in the wall its only about 400 yards up. If you get to the Church inn you have gone too far. Its a very peaceful site, on a working farm. Lovely stream and horses grazing also a good pond for fishing. 1 toilet with shower for ladies and 1 for gents whilst basic they were very clean and had heaters for winter. Small site with electric hook up and water point at toilets. Lovely owners told us where all the pubs were. Cost only 11.75 per night with hook up. DOnt know if its CCC only ? They never asked for meb numbers.
Theres at least 4 pubs in walking distance the Old Kings is right from the site and the Church inn to the left we didn't venture to the other 2. Church Inn has large outdoor seating area mostly under cover so great for us with the 2 dogs to eat and drink. Food typical pub grub but nice and not bad price, lovely locals everyone spoke to us. Also separate play area for kids.
We would go back but there's so many other sites in the area we like to try new places.

What better time to write a review than when you're still at the campsite? I'm please to say that 3 mobile broadband coverage is excellent here.
This campsite is on a delightful farm in the village of Sutton, near Macclesfield. There are two pubs within walking distance, a stream, a lake (which is open for fishing for a reasonable fee). Although it feels as though you are in the middle of the countryside, the site is less than five minutes drive from Macclesfield town center which has some interesting historical places to visit and a nice shopping center. The surrounding Cheshire countryside is beautiful.
The facilities are basic but clean; electric hookups are available. Although we live less than a mile away, we will definitely be returning.
