We have just left Longfield Stables after staying 28 days in a 40ft RV motorhome and have had an excellent stay. Although we did get in and out with our RV, it was tight, so we feel a 36ft would be the max.
We were met by Martin who guided us to the site and helped us park on our pitch. The pitch was spacious with full facilities, with views over Dartmoor and Newton Abbot.
The shower/toilet block was always spotlessly clean with plenty of hot water.
There is a lovely safe play area for children to play.
The site is kept in a immaculate condition, with electric security gates.
There is a small shop with basic facilities. Lovely fresh eggs!
There are miniature ponies, goats, pet pigs, and chickens. You must be there for dust to watch the cabaret, which is Martin trying to put the chickens to bed!
All in all, what a fabulous site we will definitely be back. Only draw back. Martin will keep wearing that Arsenal shirt!

We have just returned from a five night stay, and already planning our next stay which says it all really,
There isn't much that I can add to all of the previous reviews, just to reiterate what a lovely tranquil site this is,
In our 25+ years of camping/ caravanning & motorhoming, this is one of the best sites we have stayed on,
The view overlooking Dartmoor and the surrounding area is to die for,
The owner Martin is a shining example to all other park owners & Managers on how to run a site, his friendly and helpful approach to all is definitely to be applauded. Not to mention his dedication to the parks pet Horses, Pigs, Goats & Chickens
If you are looking for a club house / dancing girls etc, this is not the place for you, but if you are looking for an outstanding spotlessly clean and friendly site in stunning surroundings
You won't find better than Longfield Stables

We spent two nights here recently and found the site nice and quiet and the owners pleasant and helpful.
The facilities were clean and well maintained and the pitches quite generous.
Their website is a bit out of date as they advertise 5 pitches when in fact they now seem to have about 10 pitches, some hardstandings and some grass pitches.
There are miniature ponies, pigs and goats for children to get involved with at feeding times etc.
There are fantastic views across Kingsteignton, Teigngrace and across to Dartmoor.
Overall good value for money.

Our second time at longfield stables and once again probably the best CL site you'll find that's geared up for kids.
The location alone is superb one of the best an most picturesque resorts I've every been too is 10 mins drive away Torquay and Paington only 20 mins.
The toilets and shower are kept immaculate.
Martin and Beverly cannot do enough to ensure you have a great stay, places to see or local shops.
The site has a selection of animals pigs, goats and Shetland ponies, the kids will love them.
We had a great stay we all had fun and have already booked for august.
Thanks for a great holiday to all at longfield stable, see you in 8 week.

We've just come back from a 4 day stay here. Can't fault the site or the owners very helpful. All the amenities are first class for a site of this size. The goats, shetland ponies and Huxley the pig add character to the site. Plenty of wild birds also, so take some bird seed. We are going back for another long weekend next week, that's how good it is. Might see you there!

Stayed here for a week and had a great time. A lovely site which is well looked after by the owner. The owner is very helpful and very hard working, the only place we have been to and the owner has offered to help us.
The ponies and goats were great, and the 2 pigs. All very well looked after. Our dog made friends with one of the ponies and every time the pony saw us he came over to the fence. A beautifully kept site with lovely amenities. We will definitely be returning next year and can't wait. Great price too. Well recommended.

This site is very easy to find from the A380; Humber Lane varies in width and has a very steep incline to the site.
There is a large sign at the entrance to the site (you cannot miss it), which is very wide but does also have an incline. There is enough room for your unit to clear Humber Lane.
The owners of the site Martin and Beverly are really pleasant / helpful offering to guide you into your pitch and give you a pound (push/pull) if required.
I understand the owners have only owned this land for about 3 years and are only on their 2nd year as a caravan site; they are very keen/proud and this is reflected in the presentation in the whole of the site. The site is on the side of a valley and sloping (with good views). Pitches at the top end and paddock area have been levelled.
The site has an electric security gate with a keypad each side and CCTV. The main building has the reception and a very small shop / counter where you can only buy basics; eggs, bacon, milk, ice creams and ice-lollies, it also incorporates an information / leaflet room with washing up facilities and a large single shower / toilet: These are exceptionally clean / tidy (you could be at home).
The upper site end there is a portable type building with double Ladies toilets and baby changer, double Gents toilets, a separate shower room also disabled access and toilet.
The Site is very child friendly / orientated (for ages up to 10/12 years). There is a play / ball game area, log/rustic climbing frame and slide. There is also Huxley the pot-bellied pig (he is a porker), Shetland ponies and goats that can be fed / petted at set times. For the older children / Parents there is Free WiFi (so bring your laptop).
The site caters for Caravans, Motor homes (small to very large) and tents. There is EHU to all pitches, Drinking water and Grey/Black waste to some pitches and some site lighting. The water is on-site pumped (no waiting ages for your fresh water barrel to fill up).
The A380 traffic noise is barely noticeable even when sat outside and the Motorcycle track in the adjoining field I understand only has permission to be used 16 times a year was in use; and there was no excessive noise either.
There are too many local attractions to list; you will enjoy all of these
Shaldon: George of Fore Street is still serving fish & chips after 33 years and should not be missed. The Ness; with its smugglers tunnel which leads to Shaldon Cove/Ness beach. Teignmouth/Shaldon passenger ferry with history going back to around the 6th Century.
Babbacombe: Model Village, Kent’s Cavern and Bygones.
This site has become more than just a CS and the owners do have further ideas/plans. This site should not be overlooked.
We feel that Longfields could inspire some site owners; whose reviews contain the word ‘tired’ anywhere in it.
Wifey and I wish Martin and Beverly all the very best for the future. We extended our stay and have already booked for next year.

My husband and I and our two children (8, 3) visited Longfield Stables for a long weekend. It's in a lovely location with great views.
The site is extremely well kept and the bathroom is lovely and clean with a great shower. The owners were very accommodating and friendly. We found the stay very relaxing and peaceful.
We particularly liked the animals and the play park as the children can go off and have fun without being out of our sight. I think the prices are very reasonable for such a high standard of site. We will definitely be returning.

Fantastic site, hidden away in the hills. Would recommend this site to anybody looking for some peace and quiet whilst being near to all of torbays attractions.
Extremely clean site,very friendly owners.
Small kids would love the miniature ponies and the goat.
My son was very impressed by the fact that they had wi-fi and he could keep in touch with his mates.
Must go back again, like I said, fantastic.
