We stayed at this CL for 2 nights and found it very quiet and well maintained. Only 1/2 mile walk to the Lakeside Hotel where you can catch the ferry to Ambleside or Bowness. There is even a steam train but we didn't go on that. We did take a walk up to the dam which was very pleasant. The campsite didn't allow children but pets were welcomed. The site did have access to electricity, water, CDP, bins, TV aerial and Motorhome Disposal Point for £10 per night.
The site was a little hard to find at first and could possibly have done with clearer signage from both sides of the road, we travelled from Hawkshead and didn't see it until we turned at the Swan Hotel and have to travel back on ourselves.
Overall a worthwhile site, but possibly would recommend it for a night or two if you want to use the ferry or have access to a car.

The directions to the site tell you to go over Newbry Bridge, which is a single width bridge which has no traffic light control and you cannot easily see over it to see what is coming – often traffic jams and with a caravan on the back it’s not easy!
The entrance to the site is very tight and indeed at a junction of two roads and on a corner, so a bit scary. The road is quite winding with no pavement, so to walk to the Lakeside Hotel approximately ¾ mile away is not easy. Generally, though the site is in a good position to visit the south lakes area.
Quiet site generally but some road noise, hard standing pitches with water, electricity and sky points between each two pitches (you will need to borrow a sky box from the owners as you cannot get any TV otherwise and indeed only Vodophone mobiles seem to work).
Waste water next to pitch 5 but toilet emptying point some walk away uphill from the vans, may cause problems for the less mobile. The other irritant is that there are three farm gates to open each time you want to go in or out of the site – as the passenger, it was my job to keep getting in and out of the car!

Only spent a night here, but would certainly use it again. It's a small, adults only site with space for five vans. All pitches have electricity and water and some have TV points. There aren't any toilets or showers, so you need your own facilities.
It is located on the quieter, eastern side of Windermere and is about a ten minute walk from Lakeside, where there is an aquarium, ferry terminals and a pub. There are many opportunities for walking in the area, particularly the National Trust woodland.
