Wonderful site all facilities absolutely spotless wonderful people running the site so friendly
The views are fantastic and the site is very quiet
Very easy to get to and close to so many of Wales's beautiful beaches and towns such as Newcastle Emlyn, Cardigan, New Quay and Carmarthen also Cenarth Falls
We will return to this site many times in the future I am sure

We've just spent 3 wonderful nights at Moelfryn and what a little gem of a site this is. On booking, Ike told me they'd be away entertaining guests and told me to choose whichever hardstanding pitch we wanted.
The few available were all really level, with hook-ups within easy reach and with fantastic views.
We couldn't believe the washroom facilities when we went in.
They're similar to what you'd expect in a 5-star hotel.
The weather we had was incredible with beautiful sunrises and sunsets.
I went to pay Rose at the end of our second day and she refused to accept any money until we were ready to leave.
(That could have meant a hefty bill, as we didn't want to have to!).
It's a fantastic base if, like us, you enjoy cycling up in the wild Welsh hills, We covered over 90 miles in two and a half days and will return for more when possible.
The nearest pub is around 3 miles away, so not really within walking (or cycling - steep uphills back!) distance, but we took advantage of the weather and ate salads out in the evening sunshine.
Terrific.

We have now stayed twice at Moelfryn with our friends and I have to say that this is my number one campsite. When we first visited at Easter, we arrived quite late due to traffic but it was no bother to the lovely owners, Rose and Ike. Ike made us a cup of tea while we pitched up, which was very welcome in the unseasonably cold weather!
Our friends were bringing an electric hookup for us, but Ike lent his to us, as they had still to arrive and he was concerned in case they forgot to bring it. Overnight, the temperature went down to -3. 6 degrees, so the electric fan heater in the tent was essential! The service we received was exceptional.
The facilities are excellent. The shower and toilet block are exceptionally clean at all times and the addition of piping radio through is an excellent touch as it gives a bit of comfort when you have to make a visit in the middle of the night! With the site being nice and small, you are never far from the block.
There are two sinks for washing up and a very nicely done laundry room, should you have need of it. There is also a waste disposal point if you have a camping toilet.
Some real plus points are that there is free wifi and with the electricity, you only pay for what you use, which can work out much cheaper than a fixed fee that other sites use. Also, you are only charged the exact unit cost that is charged to the owners, there is no inflated price. The shop on site is stocked with all the essentials and there is a great play area for the kids.
As we stayed at Easter the first time, Rose and Ike had organised an Easter egg hunt for the children, followed by egg-rolling. The kids loved it and Rose was very fair, ensuring that all the children found at least one egg each, which had a toy inside. After that, everyone went back to the shop where Rose and Ike gave all the children a chocolate Easter egg each - all this was free, which was so lovely and was really appreciated.
They clearly run this campsite for love of doing so and you can tell that they feel passionately about delivering a great service and keeping a well maintained site.
We are planning on returning again soon (3rd time this year) and I can see myself returning time and time again for many years. I highly recommend this gem of a site!

Stayed here in chilly April half term, we were the only tent on the site so had the facilities all to ourselves which was fabulous. Welcoming brew on arrival from Rose, much appreciated. We could pitch where ever we wanted. Massive pitch, very level, great views from the site although it didn't feel exposed, the stars on a clear night are amazing! Its a small site so you are always nearby for the toilets and showers which were spotlessly clean with piped Radio 2 as a bonus. 3 toilets and 2 showers in the Ladies. Playpark great for the kids and always in sight of the camping field. Great wi-fi connection (free), Good location for sightseeing, Mwnt beach is a must, took us an hour to get to Tenby. Wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else if in this area again and can highly recommend.

Excellent well maintained site. Friendly owners and great value.
Cant comment on ground as we didn't bother with the awning but it drained wel when we had a bit of rain.
Facilities basic but very clean and well maintained.
Owners very pleasant and like to look after the kids. There was an organised easter egg hunt for the kids.
Site was always quiet, look like a few of the vans are permanent there.
Electric hook up very cheap, £1. 50 to connect and pay for what you use. 3 nights didn't cost us £2.
No bad points and we will return.

Really can't add much to what has been said before. Beautiful location with lovely views, owners Ike and Rose friendly and helpful, all facilities well maintained and spotlessly clean, great flat pitches for tents and hard standing for caravans. Metered electric £1. 50 one-off charge to hook up, worked out much cheaper than the usual £2/3 per night charge.
Lots of very friendly regulars who site their vans there, plenty of children for the kids to make friends with.
Newcastle Emlyn is about 3 miles down the road and has a Co-op and Spar for shopping, couple of take-aways and lovely crafty type shops.
Can't think of any negatives at all

My family have just returned from a lovely relaxing stay at Moelfryn.
We were made very welcome with a much appreciated cup of tea on arrival and found the family who run the site very helpful and friendly and it has been a pleasure meeting them.
The site is beautifully cared for and the views are stunning.
The pitches are well spaced out and nice and flat. The toilets and showers are spotless as are the laundry facilities.
Our children are 8 & 9 yrs and this is the first campsite that we have been on where we have felt able to let them go on their own to toilet and to play on the lovely little park without us actually accompanying them, as we could see all of the facilities from our tent - this has meant that my husband and myself have been able to properly relax and so have the children who have enjoyed a little more freedom and made lots of friends.
We would definitely recommend this lovely campsite and hope to return there ourselves.
We found that we did need a car to go anywhere as it was quite a distance into the town for shops etc, although there is a small shop on site. This wasn't a problem though and certainly wouldn't put us off returning.

PROS. Cup of tea on arrival from Ike (site owner) was a nice touch, lovely flat pitches. Spotlessly clean showers and toilets. Nice large pitches.
Electric on a meter was much cheaper than paying the normal way. (worked out £108. 50 for 7 nights and we had a fridge, laptop, tv, toaster, kettle and lights and phone chargers on most times. ) clean clean site. Friendly owners.
Lovely clean park for the kids (always in sight) local to everything, days out in Cardigan (poppet sands is an amazing beach) also Cenarth falls is lovely. Also you can move the picnic bench's to your site for your stay which is very handy. Very reasonable priced shop on site for the kids ice lolly's.
CONS. Very stony pitches but will go through with a mallet. The wasps were a constant pain, no noise allowed after 9pm, (we understand some campers like the peace and quiet but 9 o clock was a little early for us, 11pm would have been more reasonable).
All in all a lovely place and will definitely be returning.

This is a gem of a campsite, with top class facilities including washing up area, showers and toilets, all spotlessly clean. Ike and Rose are a delightful couple, relaxed and easy going and very helpful. They are extremely hard working and did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable.
The site itself is very well maintained, very clean and is of an extremely high standard with excellent drainage. The views are outstanding, quiet but accessible to all the main areas of interest.
The electricity is metered and therefore very cheap for all kinds of users. There is a small park for the children, full laundry facilities which together with the washing up facilities are under cover.
The pitches are spacious and long and not only accommodated our 6 berth tent but also our large pop-up gazebo.
The pitch fees are very reasonable considering the excellent facilities and it is highly recommended for all kinds of campers, whethere you are older citizens, young families or couples. A great find and one we will be returning to next year.

What can I say that has not all ready been said. Cup of tea on arrival spotlessly clean and friendly and very helpful. Electric hook up was cheap even though we had mini fridge and TV.
The scenery has to be seen to be believed, we was above the clouds at one point and the night sky on a clear night is stunning. The kids loved the play area which again was spotlessly clean.
Great place for a base camp as we done loads within a 30 mile radius, and if you have got kids try Folly Farm Thanks for a great stay
