Great campsite- really clean, no cars within the camping area, owners seem to have environmental awareness with recycling, promoting car free days and (nice)composting toilets.
Open fire pits was a bonus, and the Kings Head pub 5 mins away was friendly and did good food. Nice swathes of meadow between areas for pitching and along the field margins added to the setting. Also great walks from the 'door'.
Only minor down point was being close to the A685 you could sometimes hear the traffic noise a little, but I think if you were camped on the other side of the site, down the hill, or if the wind was in the opposite direction you wouldn't notice at all.
Being jubilee bank holiday weekend, the site was unsurprisingly at its busiest and maybe could have benefited from another toilet, but I guess it would normally not an issue at all. Great hot shower, fridges for freezer packs, charging points (if you really had to!)!
We thought it was a good site!

We had the most fantastic time at low green side farm, loads of walks from the campsite,
The hospitality of the owners were friendly and showed us around,
The site was very beautiful with scenic views of the hills,
Facilities were very clean indeed, they have eco loos which were amazing as there was no smell apart from fresh pine sort of smell!
I would come here again.
There are three showers in a static caravan lovely hot water & plenty of room to undress.

A no frills campsite with good facilities and views,
Large field to set up in,
Quiet location and easy access to pubs and nearby Kirkby Stephen.
Would definitely visit again for walking the Howgill Fells.

This campsite is in a beautiful setting. It really is an easy walk to two excellent pubs.
The owners are attentive and the facilities are excellent. We were in a Motorhome and I didn’t realise there was no EHU. It’s more of a site for tents, but I’m so pleased we visited.
There is one EHU and we got it for our second night. Showers and toilets were spotless and good.
We took our dog and found that the walks nearby had stiles that were difficult for dogs, unless you could lift a smaller dog over.
Overall stunning location, but not great for dog walking if the dog is too big to lift over a high stone wall.
It’s a peaceful site, mostly tents. Another lovely touch is the fire pits that were popular to light in the evening.

Incredibly happy to have chanced upon this site. Our hosts were quick to reply to our initial booking query and were equally helpful throughout our stay.
This is a really well maintained site with clean, basic facilities (wc, showers, freezer, dish washing area, recycling facilities) and a free fire pit on each pitch.
The views were stunning with easy access to both the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dale's - this was a perfect base camp for all of our adventures. This is a dog friendly site which was another plus point for us.
There is farming activity all around so be aware that the local border collies do like to bark a bit, but you soon get used to it.
Our kids even got a chance to be shepherdess' as a few cheeky sheep wandered on to site and they helped to get them back into the field - this will be a treasured memory for them.
There was good access to shops in Kirkby Stephen and we recommend visiting the Farmshop at Tebay service station off the M6 which had some incredible produce, local beers/wine/gin and delicious looking food (10 minute drive away). There were plenty of walks starting locally.
One that we highly recommend is to Stenkrith Park- this one features really beautiful cascading waterfalls and wild swimming for those brave (and prepared) enough!
Overall we were very happy with our stay and will definitely be booking another stay at some point!

Very pleasant experience. Well equipped, clean and eco friendly site. Stunning views and great space.
This location is very ideal for peace and quiet and just a stones throw away from towns and activities.
Nice pleasant owners happy to help. Everything you need for a pleasant stress free experience will be on this site.
Very good price per night, fire pit included with free kindling and logs for sale on site.
Multiple eco toilets and showers with a washing up room too. Plenty of space to pick a pitch.

We spent 4 glorious, peaceful days camping at Low Greenside campsite.
Beautiful views in all directions and a cosy fire at night.
The facilities were a pleasure to use.
It’s the perfect campsite from where to explore the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District.
Magnus was friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

A beautiful site immaculately maintained by the hard working and friendly Magnus. Even on a busy weekend, there was no noise ater 10pm.
The fire pits are a great feature. It is good having a designated parking area, with wheelbarrows provided, so the field does not get chewed up. And the way Magnus now mows the field, leaving large areas of colourful meadow grass makes the site even more attractive.
One minor constructive criticism. The only wash basins are in the shower and toilet cubicles. I would rather have separate wash basins, as when a shower or toilet are in use, the washbasins cannot be used by anyone else. This was only a problem at busy times, leading to some queueing.
Having said that, still a brilliant site and fully recommended.

A delightful campsite that is friendly, quiet, organised and very welcoming to all their guests.
The facilities are excellent and geared towards caring for the environment with composting toilets,
Recycle stations and plenty of green spaces given to wildlife and wildflowers highlighted by the superb scenery.
I will definitely return.
