We enjoyed two nights in a one of the jumbo pods and would recommend to others. We had spent a few nights previously in our tent at other sites in Scotland and it was a welcome break to not have to put the tent up again!
The site is immaculate and clean.
The owners are very helpful
The pods are brilliant and include a fridge and heater (if you need it) and you also get your own private space for camp fire, your own bbq and outdoor picnic table.
There is a brilliant kitchen and laundry facilities and the loos are very clean.
A lovely tranquil spot.
The only thing I would say is that although the outside areas of the pods are kept private with the gorse, they directly overlook each other so you look straight at the pod opposite from your door & they have glass doors- not ideal particularly if it rains and you want to sit on the decking - it feels a bit uncomfortable.
The power shower is brilliant and lots of hot water but the shower tray and curtain were a bit inadequate for this so quite impossible to not get water everywhere in the block.
Its great for kids particularly older kids with bikes etc. We have a four year old and although there wasn't a great deal for him there are plenty of great places to visit and brilliant coves and beaches and forest trails for the kids to explore in the area.
We will definitely be back

We stayed in wigwam 2 and our friends had wigwam 1 next door. I can highly recommend the 'pod' experience. It was spacious, warm and comfortable. The well padded benches around the sides of the wigwam formed a big raised sleeping area at the back when it was time to sleep.
The site is in a lovely location - very peaceful and quiet with beautiful views across the fields.
A kettle and microwave was available in each wigwam, along with a picnic table and bbq outside and a small pit surrounded with stones to have a camp fire right outside the wigwam. Firewood is bought for a few quid extra. This really made it an exciting experience for the kids, very different to the usual campsites with rules that they are used to! The owners were very helpful. The kitchen and laundry room were very well stocked and clean.
My only gripe is the bathroom facilities which were basic in the extreme! I'm not sure if they are a work in progress, but in the ladies we had 2 sinks, 2 loos, one shower which leaks right across the whole floor of the toilets, bare concrete floor, no soap and no way to dry your hands. Don't let the facilities put you off though, just go prepared with soap and a towel and some crocs or flip flops for showering!
We'd definitely go back as the wigwams are brilliant! Lovely beaches just a short drive away and very chilled sitting round the evening camp fire toasting marshmallows!

Stayed for just one night in one of the basic 'tents', where you need to take all your own camping gear. Each one does have some outside decking, a garden bench/table, lights, a heater and a plug socket. Excellent location, lovely 360 degree views and peace and quiet. Very pleasant owner, good facilities, perfectly in keeping with the style of the site, they seemed to be in a newish built stable block. Very clean, lots of hot water and even a kitchen you can use, with oven, hob, microwave, pots and pans etc. You can also hire bikes on site as there are miles of trails that run from the site I think. Recommended.
