Just returned from an amazing week staying at Trewince Farm. Original plans were to stay one night and move on, but found so many interesting walks in the area we made a week of it. The views from the campsite are something to behold. And the facilities are well looked after and spotless. The owners are friendly and obviously enjoy having campers stay with them. My mistake was not getting an ordnance survey map of the area to make the most of the numerous footpaths in the area. Would thoroughly recommend this to someone who wants to get away from the hustle and bustle and looking for a small friendly site. A site we will most likely return to at some point.

We wanted to explore the Roseland Peninsula as part of our latest cycle camping tour but had reservations about the campsites - they all looked very expensive and not really catering for people like us. After a long tiring day cycling up the infamous Cornish hills, we decided to check into Trewince Farm, and were so glad we did.

What a relaxed pleasant campsite! It's also beautifully kept and spotless. We didn't get to see the shop or facilities other than the shower block, but we were happy with what we saw. This is a quiet location and we got a good night's sleep.

The Roseland Peninsula is stunning and surprisingly unspoilt. Before finding the campsite, after leaving the King Harry Ferry, we visited Tolverne with the Smuggler Cottage restaurant (closed) and stunning views - definitely worth the short diversion, and the Royal Standard pub in the village of Gerrans looked inviting but we were too tired to stop.

We also spent some time on beautiful Towan beach which is only a short distance from the campsite. We would have loved to spent more time exploring this tranquil corner of Cornwall, and Trewince would have been the ideal location to do so.

This site was recommended by friends and it didn't disappoint. The site seemed to have a chilled out Cornish hippy feel to it which was nice. The owners are very friendly and attentive, and work hard to keep the facilities immaculate. The pitch marking post I demolished was rapidly repaired (sorry)!

The Roseland peninsular is a delight and has its own character with lovely villages, beaches and excellent access to the coastal path.

If I have to make any minor criticism I would say that the amount of showers and toilets could lead to queues if the site was full - there were no problems when we were staying. Wifey says she'd have liked the showers to be hotter but don't read too much into that because she's rather strange.

Top place and we'll definitely return.

We have had a fabulous long weekend at Trewince and would thoroughly recommend this small friendly campsite.

We have a 3 year old 6 year old and a dog and they had plenty of space to play and have fun.

The site is very clean, but small only approx 23 pitches. We visited at School half term and the site was full (and they had used an adjoining field for 2 tents not requiring electric), but it did not feel cramped or busy as the pitches are very spacious.

There are only 2 showers and toilets which meant queing, but we let the children play and went back later, and was not a problem.

This is a working farm and equestrian centre and the children were able to learn how to groom a pony then go for a ride around the farm which they loved.

There are many walks around the fields and down to the creeks which were beautiful. The area is also quiet and beautiful, with 5/6 beaches within 5 to 10 mins.

There is easy access to the ferry to St Mawes and then on to Falmouth too.

This campsite is not for the roudy or those who need play areas and shops, but we and our children had a wonderful time and I would recommend a visit. We will definitely be going back!

We have just returned from Trewince campsite. The site offers a lovely view of the Cornish coastline, which we had a great view of at pitch 26.

The site has a small toilet block with 2 toilets and 2 showers, which I never had to wait for in the 3 days we stayed and the campsite was nearly full.

The facilities are kept very clean, although I found the shower cubicles a bit small, especially with 2 young children, however we managed sufficiently.

The washing up facilities were adequate, plenty of hot water and a lovely grassy area for the children to play. I like the fact the campsite offered a recycling facility. This is a basic campsite, for which there are no local shops and no shop on the campsite to purchase emergencies.

The nearest village was Portscatho, which is a 5 minute drive, which has a lovely village store, which sells near enough anything you should require and boasts a gorgeous sandy beach a few minutes walk from the car park.

We really liked this campsite, it was a great base to explore from and enjoy some of the most gorgeous areas of Cornwall, I would recommend, camping here as long as your not looking for 5 stars, but somewhere the children can play and appreciate the outdoors.

Just got back from a week at Trewince Farm and if you are looking for beautiful coastal scenery, postcard pretty villages and great walking then I recommend staying here.

We arrived just before lunch and was told that because they were quiet (between school holidays)that we could pick our own pitch. We chose pitch No. 8, which has sea views to the South and West and was in the bottom corner of the field.

The pitch size was big we had no trouble fitting our 7.2m x 2.4m tent comfortably on it with enough room to get the car and still have plenty of space to sit out, BBQ and sunbathe on. Each pitch has an electric hook-up and there are drinking water stand pipes in the middle of the field.

The toilets and showers, of which there are 2 per gender are spotless, the cleanest that we have come across whilst camping. This standard was maintained throughout our stay even though we were the only people on the site at times. There are 2 washing up sinks where the water is always hot (you need to add cold water to put your hands in), a coin operated washing machine and tumble dryer, freezer and chemical waste disposal.

The site is great for walking your dog as you can roam around/through any of their fields so long as your dog is kept on a lead if livestock are in the field. It's a short road walk to the South West Coastal Path, but there are plenty of Public Footpaths going through the site if you don't want to walk down the road.

Would I recommend this site, definitely. Would I return here yes.

A great, small, simple site ideal for families. Spacious, level or gently sloping pitches with plenty of space for kids to play. Open position with lovely views down to the coast and across the countryside - so I suppose it could feel exposed in high winds, though there is some shelter from trees along the lower boundary. About 1 mile from the village of Portscatho which has shop and pubs. Clean facilities (2 toilets, 2 showers and 2 wash basins each for ladies and gents) which were always spotless and I never had to queue. Covered washing up area, washing machine and dryer, freezer for ice packs.

Very family-friendly, though it doesn't have specific facilities like a kids playground. Horse riding on site. Lots of footpaths in the area, many not marked on the map. I liked the fact that there was a sheltered lawn area by the wash-up where my young children could play whilst I washed up, and being able to see the open sea whilst eating supper, and listening to the calls of the wading birds at night from the (out-of-sight) tidal creek.
