Wow! What a lovely place to stay! Location was superb only 15 minutes to nearest town by the seaside, giving you a country sea side feel. The hosts Giles & Alison were a Gem and so helpful and welcoming. Lovely people and they took pleasure in helping us enjoy our special camping holiday.
The facilities were great! V clean toilets and showers hot water, washing up area & plenty of space for us and the children to play.
The place had a real warm feel to it as the hosts made an extra effort to help us feel relaxed, with things like flowers on our table (We were in a Safari Tent) extra long matches for the cooker, tea candles, bed linen, pots pans, storage containers, dishing liquid, sponge/cloth, tea towels, cushions, it goes on. You don't normally get this at a normal holiday park. This was far from it! It is fairly green site with a natural feel. The hosts offer a cooked breakfast 2-3 days, a pizza night made in their very own clay oven with a sing a long and games around a camp fire for the whole family to enjoy! I would definitely recommend this camp site for families young and up and we would definitely go back there again. The big plus apart from all that was already mentioned, was the fire pit. We had our own camp fire every night (lucky with the weather!) and so close to a heap of beautiful places and walks to go to take in the real beauty of Wales! 10/10 from us! From The Yaxley's

What a great site! Plenty of space for each tent in beautiful meadows. The toilets and showers were very clean, with lots of little touches around (jars of wild flowers everywhere!) The reflexology that I and my husband had from Alison on site was brilliant, and really set the tone for the weekend. The children (4 and 8) loved feeding the animals, and making their own pizza's in the handmade outdoor oven with Gyles, as did we! The barns on site are great for when the weather is a bit damp, with toys and games for all. The little shop ideal for basics, (alisons flapjack is heavenly!)There was lots of info to hand on things to do, we spent a day at the royal botanical gardens of Wales, about an hour away, well worth a visit if you like that sort of thing. Plenty of good places to eat in nearby Aberearon. Definitely hope to go back.

This is the best site we have stayed at so far. The showers and toilets are first class and although the washing up facilities are outside and only cold water, it somehow works.
The facilities for children, although we didn't take any, are wonderful and inspiring and offer opportunities for them that are rarely found anywhere. The tent pitches are vast, very widely spaced and therefore peaceful and private and the rest of the site is uncrowded and natural.
The small honesty shop holds all the essentials and fresh eggs, collected each day are a luxury. Also available are a range of cakes and biscuits, home baked and very, very tasty!
If you don't want to take your own tent and gear, the safari tents are well equipped with a separate cooking and eating shelter, camping luxury! This site has only been open for a short while and we would suggest you book early in future as, when word gets round, I think it will be well booked. We will certainly return.
The local area is beautiful too, with lots of small, uncrowded, natural beaches an coves to visit, lovely walks and fantastic wildlife, all within a very short distance so no long drives once you get there.
On the site we saw red kites, buzzards, a variety of birds and insects and the farm has chickens and pigs. A very relaxing, peaceful and natural site.

Just got back after a short break here and would really like to keep this site secret.
We took pot luck as there were no reviews at the time and what a find! Just what we wanted a peaceful and relaxing area. We took our daughter (9) and our dog (7months) and this was the first site were we have been made really welcome, even the dog.
Alison greeted us and showed us round and gave us a map and information about the site. Both Alison and Gyles (and Ellie!) made us feel really welcome and we settled in very quickly.
The pitches are large and with rough areas between them they gave a feeling of privacy. The fire pit great and the evenings were spent lazing around it.
Showers and toilets were kept very clean and tidy and the little shop was a big help for the little bits you may have forgotten.
Every morning our daughter disappeared to help with the egg collecting and pig feeding with Gyles, who was great with the children. We would have liked to stay longer to experience the children’s campfire evening.
In their first year and with other improvements in the pipeline this is a truly exquisite site, and all hard work Gyles and Alison have done to create a great camping experience has really paid off.
Even as Alison was leaving she stopped to say goodbye and this made it for us, we are working out our dates for next year as we can't wait to go back. A BIG thank you to you BOTH, we had a great time, see you next year.

A lovely campsite and lovely owners. The pitches are really spacious and with grass left long in between so you feel very private. The fire pits are great and complete the experience especially for children. Lovely loos and showers. Great cakes! The breakfast on Sunday morning was a real treat and delicious. Fab time was had by all. A magical place for all ages!thanks

The campsite is located on a very quiet country road in a tiny hamlet. The seclusion is perfect for those looking for a peaceful and tranquil stay. The site itself is very spacious with huge amounts of space between pitches. The entire site has only 10 pitches and a commercial site of this size would have 3 or 4 times that number of pitches. The space came in very handy as we booked two pitches for my family and my brother-in-law's family. Between our tent pitches we had enough room to play rounders, football, French cricket, etc.Without intruding upon any other camper's space. A huge football field is also provided as well as a great barn where the children could play table football, go-karts, Jenga, etc.
A small shop on site selling local organic produce made up for the lack of local shops ( a 5 min drive away to the nearest convenience store).
The toilet blocks and showers were spotlessly clean and free. The only minor fault is that the outdoor washing up station didn't have hot water, however it wasn't a problem to get hot water from the shower block, just round the corner.
The owner's are campers themselves and really try hard to create an old fashioned camping experience. The site has nature trails, and a stream to explore. Every pitch has a fire pit so you can have a real camp fire and the owner also does a big family fire with songs, popcorn and marshmallows too!
Future plans to build an outdoor pizza oven and a liquor licence are in place for 2011.
My children are 7 and 5 and this has been the best camping experience I could possibly have wished for them.
Overall: Superb. We will return next year to see the pizza oven in action!

This is a real gem of a campsite. We spent a week here with our 2.5 year old son in rainy weather but still had a fantastic time. It is a small campsite with upto ten pitches plus safari tents. Each pitch is spacious, private and very well laid out in natural meadow, the pitch areas lying in mown grass with mown paths down to parking spaces. The play barns (one open but roofed, the other totally enclosed) were great and well equiped for our little one. He particularly liked the large wooden train set and toy cars. Also there was table football, sandpit, skittles, books and board games. The site has a smallholding with pigs, chickens, sheep and a vegetable plot. All being operated on organic lines. Our son fed the animals and collected eggs on one of the days. Alison and Giles were extremely friendly and welcoming offering us spare sleeping bags when we accidentally left a tent window open in the rain. Alison makes excellent cakes which can be purchased for a small fee and breakfast is available on some mornings.
The natural camping outlook of the site we found very refreshing, there is no electric hook up or wifi, but you can have your own campfire with wood available. Electricity for charging phones etc was available in the barn. The toilet blocks and showers were clean, well presented and spacious with nice warm showers. Washing up facilities were also available. The surrounding area is great countryside with Aberaeron and New Quay being very close coastal towns. There is plenty to do in the area. Giles and Alison have great ideas for new features in the future, a natural oven being one and are very open to other ideas and improvements to the site. We definitely plan to return again!
