We needed a site close to Evesham due to family living in the town that we were visiting and it certainly fitted the bill for that although approx. 1-2 miles to walk into town min.
There is a retail park with a Morrisons, B&Q, Currys, Homebase, Pub/Restaurant, Frankie & Bennys just off the next round about on A46 so handy for provisions or you could do an online shop from Tescos and have it delivered to site as I did!
Anyway, back to the site, there is what appears to be a long term pitch field on one side and a large touring field on the other side. In the middle is a caravan storage facility. We arrived on the Monday of the Jubilee weekend and it was quite busy with what seemed top be regulars and a rally. All very friendly.
Now although we experienced no issues with waiting for loos/showers and I assume that was due to most people using their onboard facilities, there are just 2 x showers with a loo in each (wetroom) & 1 extra loo in the middle in each of both the mens & ladies facilities and a large disabled loo (7 loos & 5 showers if I've explained that correctly).
1 of the womens showers was out of order so we were down to just one for such a large/busy site but I think this is a temporary issue. But for the size of the site I've have expected at least double the facilities.
Like I said we had no issues but if very busy and all wanting early am showers. The showers cost 50p each and it must be a 50p coin, no other denominations accepted. The showers were lovely and powerful and you could control your own temperature but as you have a lot of space, being a wetroom in effect, the floor does get very wet and needs to be mopped (no biggy) but they could do with some door/wall hangers really at nowhere to hang towel/clean/dry clothes.
The weather was particularly nasty the week we visited. The campsite ground is very even but it does get very soggy underfoot and it drains quickly when weather dry. There is a tractor on hand if your van gets stuck. It's not a quagmire don't be put off by my comments, just wellies could be handy if you're dog walking or going to/from showers if wet.
The fishing lake is small but well stocked and the fishermen we talked to seemed impressed, we had such bad weather that we didn't partake although we had all the gear - shame really.
The site is on the A44 so this is a main vein into/out of Evesham and busy and noisy during the daytime. Not as busy at night but you do get a few boy racers/motorbikes 'having a go' on the bypass. That is no fault of the campsite, as I said location is very handy but the site does have road noise.
I only met Bill the owner and the 2 dogs, Sam & Badger (both doggies lovely characters). Bill is very very helpful, accommodating and it's a very 'relaxed rule' site which is refreshing. This is a dog friendly site with a field on the site that you can walk your pooch around or just walk out of the site to your right and take the next right and there is a circular walk/track that can be off-lead for your dog. Just bear in mind the busy road coming back.
The bin area with the various recycling is very good and has good signage. Speaking of signage though, as you approach the campsite on the A44 towards Broadway from Evesham, just off the roundabout past the Listers VW garage, the signage is slightly obscured and small. We had to slam on although we new the campsite whereabouts and could've caused problems with the traffic slowing behind in time who were about to pick up speed hitting the dual carriageway. Give yourself plenty time indicate early just after Listers and start to slow down to warn locals who may be unaware of the site that you're turning into it.
Whilst the site did what we needed in terms of locality, owners being very accommodating and a good dog friendly site, we probably won't visit again as it's the opposite end of town for our family visits. It's a good base if you're touring the Cotswolds with access to local facilities i. E. Morrisons so would recommend for that if you can cope with road noise but it's not picturesque considering the county you're in if you want to relax and soak up some scenery on site after a busy day sightseeing.
We travelled with a caravan/awning/hookup/car/2 adults & a dog and it cost £11. 50 per night as we stayed 6 nights £69. If you stay less than 5 nights it's £12. 50 for similar set up so very very reasonable - just remember your 50p's!

We have been visiting this site for about 5 years now and it just gets better. It is close to Evesham, enough to walk in if you wish and there is a lot to visit in the area. We have been to Snowshill Manor, the Lavender farm, Broadway, The Slaughters and Bourton on the water to name a few.
The pitches are well spaced, so plenty of room and the fishing lake is well stocked, our two sons didn't fish for long over 2 days and caught 6 good carp between them.
Bill and Sandra who own the site are very helpful, they also run a B and B on site if you want family or friends to stay but not camp. Well we have been going to Longacres each year since we found it and a lot of other people we have met on site have done the same, so that's got to be a good sign hasn't it!

We visit this site a lot and watch with interest the improvements being made by the owners. There is plenty of room and each pitch has ehu. Some hardstanding is available and more is being added. The small fishing lake is well stocked and a new eco shower and toilet block is being built for the summer of 2010. There are lots of places to visit including the riverside town of Evesham and Broadway.
Morrisons is just up the main road. There is some storage vans but no residential. There are no specific facilities for children although there is a new leisure centre close by.
