Really lovely restful site with a very warm welcome. Pleasant big pitch on gravel on the side away from the road. In autumn acorns falling from the trees can give you a fright but after a bit it just made us laugh. We use our bikes when on a site so we were delighted to find the Loire á Velo ran next to the site and Tours is only 7km away. We stayed for 3 nights after several nights touring and we felt very comfortable here.

Visited this park again for one night on our way to Spain. We have been to it before. I mentioned in my earlier review about problems getting water. Water availability was ok on this visit. The site is easy to get to, not far from the A10 motorway. Good roads for caravanners. Very friendly staff at reception who spoke English and put up with my attempts at French. We had a large hard standing. The toilets and showers are good and heated. There is a playground for kids. 20 euros £18 a night. There is a large LeClerc supermarket nearby with Cheap Diesel, food and wine.

Excellent stopover site as very near the main route (A28) down to southwest coast. Some traffic noise but this died down overnight and we slept well.
Low season the reception does not open until 2pm so if you arrive earlier you have to wait outside the gates, however you can pick up their wifi there so something to do why you wait.
Heated shower blocks with baby sink, plenty of room in the cubicals and piped music which was a nice touch.
Free wifi
Nice friendly staff and happy for you to choose your own pitch.
Would use again as a stopover or if I wanted to visit something in Tours.

Found the site easily which is very close to Tours, but you will need some transport to get into town. Very friendly welcome in excellent English and we were given a choice of very big pitches that back onto the road which is lined by large trees. We had booked for 5 nights as we wanted to use the site as a base to go in and out of Tours.
Although the pitch was not a hardstanding as requested it was on sandy soil which drained well, it was level so we did not need chocks.
The road that runs along the side of the site is busy, and is one of the main routes into Tours, as a result there is always traffic on it. If you are a light sleeper, this is not the site for you. Because of the time of year the trees were dropping acorns, so if you parked under the trees you had a constant, day and night aerial bombardment. There are a number of permanent 'mobile homes' which looked almost new, and they all had a metal roof and walls. The acorns hitting the roofs of these units sounded like an air rifle or a shot. And this naturally happened more if there was a gusting wind.
The facilities were possibly in need of an end of season re-paint but that is being a bit 'picky', they were clean, warm and the showers big with plenty of hot water and also free. There is a very big open grass area which also had some children's play equipment on itwhich gave the site a very open feel
There is a retail park with good supermarkets not very far away which you almost go past when leaving the site on the main road, as you can only turn right and then go around the roundabout to come back towards Tours.
Because the site was relatively quiet we changed pitches to move away from the tress and also get a signal on the satellite, which we could get on the first pitch.
During our 5 night stay we saw that the site was used by people as a one night stop over as it is relatively close to the autoroute
This is a good site, well kept with good clean facilities, which was spoilt for us, by the road noise.

Our 2nd visit to this site with new owners since Jan 2010. Sanitary facilities very clean. Take away service (pizzas, frites, burgers, even casseroles, depending on the night)Monday to Thursday. Very small bar with large tv. Owner speaks good English, very helpful. Excellent site for Tours, chateaux etc. But there can be noise from military aircraft usually between 11am to noon weekdays. Road noise not really a problem. Free wifi. Large pitches. Overall a good site (and the hens will eat your leftovers!)

We stayed here overnight on our way to Spain. It is easy to get to from the motorway with a good road along the riverside. Lots of open grass area.
Toilet facilities were modern, clean and heated.
Very large pitches and we were able to pick our own. Big problem getting water! None of the on pitch taps worked. I walked around the large site an eventually found a tap which worked down at ground level about 200 yards from our caravan. A tap outside reception marked drinking water had a nasty brown colour.
My French is very basic so I got no help from other campers or the man on duty in reception. The woman who booked us in had very good English.
If the water is sorted out it would be a good site.
Large Leclerc supermarket very close with cheap petrol. The slight road noise did not effect us.

This grassy campsite with plenty of trees around a playing field area is a few kilometres east of Tours in the suburb of Ville aux Dames; the township has a centre within waking distance and there are hypermarkets en route to Tours. As well as Tours there are plenty of roads leading along the Loire (on both banks) to chateaux such as Amboise and Villandry so it's a great centre for touring.
There is a large open area for football or other sports, some children's games equipment and a self-assembling bouncy castle. Many of the sites are chalets or caravans which look set for a long stay but there was no problem during our stay for taking in many campers.
The camp has a small shop selling wine and other essentials; and bread is delivered to order at 9; there is a small bar (local rose and Pelforth beer only); a pizza van comes around some nigts and there is quite a good little restaurant opposite the camp entrance (we didn't notice it until the last night - shame). The site is not far from the Loire with some lovely rides/walks *but* the road is a dual carriage and not easily crossed on foot!
That road is also why we don't give very high points to this camp - without the road it would have got a good recommendation. Probably ten years or so ago this would have been a quiet camp but now, with the building of a dual carriageway connected to the Loire motorway, there is a constant stream of traffic through the night: if there is an occasional lull in the traffic, you may get to hear airplanes taking off from the city airport.
So, I'd love to recommend this but it will only suit those lucky few who are capable of blocking out background noise.

This is a lovely site which is on the main cycle route. The campsite owners can speak English which was very useful for us. They are helpful and the facilities are good and clean without being a holiday camp which we don't enjoy. It is also near to Tours, Ambroise, Blois etc. Very good site and would definitely visit again. There are areas of shade as well as sunny pitches. The pitches are large and we didn't get bothered by mosquitoes.
It also has a large bouncy castle for kids, which looked like excellent fun :-)
