Just came home today after spending 4 nights at Barlings, what a great place to be.
On arrival large metal secure gates, opened by code on wall given to you by manager.
Very large areas for tourers, camping and lodges.
Roads are good and level, everywhere so clean and very well kept by the young manager who was very nice and pleasant, very hard working.
Older shower block, very clean lots of hot wAter.
New shower block is almost finished with 6 wet rooms.
The lakes were wonderful, my husband caught lots of carp up to 15 LB in weight and a few bigger that got away, tench, perch, roach, Rudd and other types of fish all in excellent condition.
Very quiet site, just what is needed after a stressful time at work.
Met some lovely people.
Close to Lincoln City, about 6/7 miles also on bus route.
Fantastic gem of a site, can't wait to go back there.

Came to this site by accident as the one we had intended to book was full. Spoke to the owner on the phone who gave me information and cost of £16 per night including electric which I thought was very good value.
Was highly delighted on arrival, beautiful site and warm welcome from the owner. He offered us a choice of pitches and we chose right next to the lake for easy access to the fishing and lovely view from the tent and kindly lent us a hook up extension as our lead wasn't long enough
Toilets and showers were basic and clean with some nice personal touches such as pictures, flowers and hand wash
Very large site but not all used so plenty of open land and didn't feel crowded
Didn't need to do supermarket shopping before coming as there's a small retail park not far away, also a large Tesco express and to my delight a Go Outdoors store
Highly recommend and will definitely visit this site again

Stayed here for 1 night whilst attending an event near Lincoln.
Booked over phone, and had a warm greeting on arrival. (but had to arrive by 7pm). Quite a large site, the owner described that there were 3 separate places we could pitch our tent. He told us that there was a big party at one spot so it might be best if we pitched our tent 'near the hill' - The hill being a 10 foot mound. The site was excellent, we had this area to ourselves so there was no noise at all. The ground was very flat and dry at this time of year. We had a good night's sleep.
The site is secure with a large password controlled sliding gate, which is reassuring, but the site is quite rural anyway so there were no concerns in that area.
The shower block was very clean, with 2/3 male showers and no doubt female ones too. Nice washbasins and liquid dispensed soap. (nice touch).
Didn't use any washing up/kitchen facilities or anything else as only stayed the night.
Site allows barbeques so long as they are 'off the ground' type - Ie so it doesn't burn the grass.
Langworth itself has a pub (the George) which is about 1-2 km from the site. A bit hotely rather than a good old pub but still nice to drink there.
There is also a chinese buffet in Langworth but we didn't try it.
There is a BP petrol station about 4 miles towards Lincoln which is handy if you need any cold beers (It was roasting at the weekend we went).
The Site has a shop which seamed well stocked with all the essentials you would need.
The site has at least one prob more fishing lakes and I think you can get day passes etc for this.
All in all, this site met and exceeded our expectations for 1 night's camping. For £5 each for the overnight stay in a comfortable rural environment with a hot shower in the morning I would definitely recommend.

We stayed here for 2 nights after picking up our new caravan from Louth. The weather was atrocious while we were here with high winds, rain and freezing temperatures. The campsite is quite open to the wind so bring your tie down kits !
The toilet block is fairly old but very clean. There are ample water / electric points.
I had a walk around the lakes and was surprised to see carp moving even in these temperatures !
I thought the price was quite high (£36 for 2 nights) but saying that we may well be back when the weather warms up a bit as we have friends living close by.
If you have a large unit be very careful turning on/off the mainroad as it can be very busy and you will need to swing out wide ! Also the lane leading to the campsite can be a bit awkward if there are a lot of cars/vans parked on the road

We stayed on this site for three nights
We paid £18 a night, there was myself and my partner. we didn't put up an awning although we were told that at this time of year we wouldn't have been charged for it
The £18 is for two adults and two children but this was the standard charge so is what we paid
So here's the good the bad and the ugly
Good
Wardens were really friendly, the chap photocopied me the bus timetable as I wanted to go into Lincoln
His wife helped us get pitched right and were, in general, lovely chatty helpful people
The bus into Lincoln ran every hour, the stop was a 15 minute walk a single cost £3.00 not sure on a return
Toilets were clean and heated (ish)
Elsan point nice and clean
Plenty of bins
Small shop with fresh free range eggs
Chickens (I like chickens)
Site was quiet
Plenty of electric hookups with in a close proximity to your pitch
Bad
Seems a bit mean to say the loos but they were basic, two toilets and one shower per sex in a wooden hut and even in January I had to wait a while for a shower then ended up with either it scalding hot or freezing cold all on the same temp setting.
Some standing muddy water from people driving on the grass
Lots of early morning car noise Friday morning as the site has a few people who live in their vans during the week to go to work
The entry gate was slower than a geriatric getting out of bed the first day following a hip replacement
Pitch sizes were small wouldn't like to see it in the height of the season
Ugly
The roads were truly horrendous, we clunked our jockey wheel in a pot hole so deep that it actually bent the wheel despite it being fully up.
The lovely warden man told me the roads would be fixed in the better weather but they were really bad
The site had two fishing lakes and there was one brave soul out fishing although he didn't seem to catch anything
The water didn't look too deep but was unfenced and open and I wouldn't think it was an appropriate place for young children
There were no other facilities for kids and I guess in high season a space to play would be limited
There was a rally field behind reception
There is a large caravan storage area and a lot of what look like seasonal pitches with some interesting green vans!
In summary this isnt a bad site, once the roads are fixed it would be an awful lot better, we wouldn't return again as we felt for the facilities it was overpriced for a couple.

We were looking for a site near Lincoln and chose Langworth as its on the bus route into the city (approx15 mins and £5.50 per adult return).
We had in fact chose another site in the village from reviews on UK campsite but followed the brown tourist signs on the main road which took us to this site instead.
On arrival site appears to be closed. We arrived at a very large / high iron gate which was firmly closed. You can see a large green area through the gates and the lakes but no sign of caravans or life. We used the intercom and warden advised they were open and remotely opened gates.
The pitches are nearly all seasonal and at the far end of the site (not visible from gates). Only 1 or 2 pitches for tourers in this area but seemed fairly tightly packed to us. There are some newer touring pitches along the fence on the edge of the site which looks good. We chose to pitch between the two small lakes and were still able to hook up to ehu.
The toilets / shower block is very old and needs a revamp there were 2 toilets and 1 shower per sex. To be fair they are kept immaculately by the wardens and they are included in price with plenty of hot water available.
The thing we found annoying was the constant bird scarer recording played through speakers across the site. Appreciate this is for the fishing side but does spoil a little as we like to see the wildlife.
This is an ok site which would be greatly improve if the gates we left open during the day to show its open or the reception was sited by the gates. At £17.50 per night for 2 adults with ehu it certainly wasn't one of the cheapest we used in East Anglia and the facilities probably don't warrant the price.

We took the caravan here in August and the site was full. Lakeside Caravan Park in Langworth caters for touring caravans, motorhomes and tents.
This is a great site for fishermen, lots of plots overlook the fishing lakes. But this could be a worry if you have younger children with you. All campers and caravanners get a discounted rate for fishing.
Campers have their own section of the campsite area which is set against a fence for wind breaking and directly opposite part of the fishing lakes.
Facilities are quite limited. The toilets are separated in to male and female with each consisting of 2 sinks, 2 toilets and a shower, these were always clean when we used them, however there is only one shower in each block so we usually had to queue, however there is no extra charge for showers and they are lovely and warm. There is a dishwashing area and waste disposal.
The whole caravanning area is covered by CCTV cameras for security and there is code for getting in the gate.
Lincoln is about 7 miles away and the castle is well worth a visit, we had a day at Skegness, this is quite a drive (about 36 miles) but worth it for those big kids!
Wragby Maze isn't far and this was a good day out.
The site doesn't really cater for younger children, which suited us, but would not be everyones cup of tea. Ideal site for older campers and those seeking a peaceful holiday
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
