Just returned from a weekend at Northam Farm at Brean. We were very impressed with the whole site. When we arrived there were stewards to show you to your area. I thought this was very impressive and well organised! We stayed in one of the no dog fields which was great as we had plenty of room to pitch our tent. It was rather a long walk to the nearest toilet block but that didn't bother us that much. The toilets and showers were spotlessly clean and there was even music playing while you sat and meditated! It was a 50p charge for the showers although you had five or six minutes of water which was plenty long enough. My husband and the boys all showered in this time. You just need to make sure you're organised as once you put your 50p in the shower starts within two minutes! There is a cafe on the site and we enjoyed a smashing Sunday lunch there for around £5.20. The only criticism of the meal is that there was only two vegetables besides the roasters. There was, however, lots of it! There is plenty for children to do and my two boys were really happy just playing in the football field and playing cricket etc. The beach was about a fifteen minute walk away and as the site was down the quieter end of Brean it wasn't overcrowded. All staff we come across on the site were extremely helpful and very pleasant. We would definitely stay there again if we go to Brean.

Just back from an Easter break at Northam Farm and we found it to be a lovely site-the best we've visited yet. As mentioned in other reviews the toilets/shower blocks are spotless and 50p lasts ages. The individual vanity units with curtains for privacy are a lovely idea. The site is big but there are plenty of shower blocks around the site and not too far to walk to any of them. We visited the Seagull pub and had a lovely evening and not too busy though I appreciate we went slightly out of season. The takeaway on site was OK if a bit pricey. The reception staff were friendly and very helpful. We shall definitely look forward to visiting this site again this year.

Just back from a weekend at Northam Farm. Got to say their standards haven't slipped. Still lovely clean facilities and plenty of them. Showers now cost 50p for 10 minutes. The addition of the cafe and takeaway is very welcome. We got stuck in Traffic for over an hour on the motorway and the last thing we wanted was the long trek down to the chip shop by the leisure park! It is a large site but it is quite. There are plenty of parks for the kids and plenty of space in the playing fields too!

Well, what can I say. The very first time I came here was with the family. We only had 2 kids then and only came here on the off chance. That was in 1996. 2001 to present we have 5 children now and been coming here every year. We stay in the very small no electric, no dog field which is situated on the left. A very nice secluded quiet field. The site does not get flooded either like some where I went twice and not went again. Reception staff very helpful and friendly. Mrs Scott is a very lovely lady, she has time to talk about anything. The facilities are very clean and airy, with the Coast Radio Station playing. Play areas are very good not too far. The beach is lovely, we go to the end of the road park up and go up all the stairs and to Brean Down Fort, we do that every year. You don't hear the attractions from the theme park in the field where we stayed in. The security on site are top, I reported my one child missing and within 2 to 3 minutes he was found. I left my bum bag containing nearly £150 and credit cards in the, at the time, portaloos, I went straight to reception where it had been handed in and everything was there. We go to the restaurant regularly when there and they recognise us every year and get a very warm welcome. My children can roam all over the site and not get lost, we made new friends every year we camped there. Very good laundrette, well equipped. Shop on site is excellent. Walks are lovely, only 10 - 15 min walk to Seagull. Great entertainment and food. This site is the site that when my children have children we will still be coming here. We been coming here all this time and will continue to for the next millenium. This is the site i recommend to all my friends and family and to others who want ideas where to go camping. Better than a five star hotel anytime. Thank you for giving my family and me a very memorable experience. Three cheers to the Scott family and employees.

This is the second time we have stopped here & as before we enjoyed our stay. We like the super pitches because of the amount of room you have & because they are hard standing. Easy to pitch your caravan & awning etc. Staff were always helpful & polite which is more than can be said of some of the other campers on site, it amazes me how many people can't read or choose to ignore simple rules like "dogs must be on a lead at ALL times." I lost count of the number of dogs running about without leads around the site. Also because we were near the children's play park it was quite annoying to have the kids out on the equipment shouting etc. from 7am to after 11pm some days. I would like to see a fence erected around the play park & a gate locked so it can be opened at reasonable times eg. 9am to 9pm. I think this would be kinder to everyone. We had some excellent meals out at the Beachcomber pub about 10 min. down the road from the site. There also seemed to be better entertainment on here most nights & it was much easier to get a seat here rather than standing at the seagull. We only went once but couldn't get a seat until the kids entertainment finished at around 9.45pm. There were many people having to stand all night.
All in all, we would have no problem recommending this site for a long holiday but, you have no control who else may be there. You will always, it seems, get the "I don't give a monkeys for rules" brigade. Don't let this put you off, it is a very good park in a very nice place.

Stayed for the weekend. Very clean toilets / showers 20p for the ladies showers, 50p for the gents. A very nice clean site was in one of the dog fields but not a problem, will stay again there, only down fall is that the sea never came in, and a problem with quick sand.

Excellent caravan park we stayed on a premier pitch which was paved level and spacious, that said I was expecting it to have individual water supply drain and hookup, not complaining though we loved it. The toilet and showers were spotless, nice play areas one of the best dog walks I've seen also each shower block and the shop have special hooks to tie the dog up while you pop in, very thoughtful. A short walk to the Seagull is worth it we saw some very good entertainment there and the prices were reasonable there was an adults only section, the room was cool even though the nights were hot, food looked nice we didn't try it as we had eaten at The Place a little further along the road which was also very nice. Camping fees were very reasonable, couldn't fault the place and would definitely return

I'm not a great lover of large commercial sites and therefore my review may not be quite as glowing as others - and this is a LARGE site - 3 or 4 minutes walk from my pitch to the nearest toilet block and 10 minutes walk to the shop and restaurant (that's a 20 minute round trip for a loaf of bread). Little wonder that people used their cars for travelling around the site (even to the loo) which created the impression of camping on the grass verge in quite a busy small town with lots of continuous traffic movement and whoever invented car headlights that don't switch off for 5 minutes after the driver has it has never tried camping in a tent! Beware also of accepting a pitch near one of the street lights unless you're frightened of the dark (I saved a fortune on camping lamp batteries though). A good tip- pull off a length of toilet paper before you sit down because the dispenser is situated behind you next to the cistern and unless you have a double jointed spine you will never reach it once seated! I booked this site based on good reviews and a good fishing lake and, as other reviews, I can't fault the cleanliness of the facilities and the helpfulness of the staff, or the little extras such as rings to tie up the 4 legged beasts outside the facilities (could be useful for the two-legged pups as well) but I felt that the site, on the busy weekend I was there, had outgrown it's ability to cope with demand. The restaurant and take-away had long queues during the relevant eating times. Although they strongly advertise their all-day breakfasts and bacon butties many people had to wait up to an hour to be served a bacon sandwich.and they were still packing the units into every spare corner of the fields. However, the site was exceptionally quiet after midnight and I was grateful. For families with children and dogs who enjoy the hustle and bustle of a busy and continually active site with a beach across the road (the sea is somewhere beyond that as well but I couldn't see it) good entertainment nearby, an amusement park just down the road.and 6 cans of lager for £5 from the camp shop .you will enjoy it. .oh.and the fishing's good too except the ducks think that anyone crouched under a large brolly holding a long stick is a source for their own entertainment!

Booked this weekend back in April, had never visited the site before but had read good reviews about the site and decided to give it a go. On arrival the reception was very professional looking and the staff very helpful, there were rangers out on site to show you where to go. We stayed on the premier pitch-however I didn't request this pitch when booking and I later found out it is slightly more to stay on this pitch. But the premier pitches are lovely, consisting of a hard standing and complete flat pitches. The field has been made to look like an avenue with trees planted in rows between pitches.
The shower block on this field is stunning with mosaic tiling! Showers are 50p-20p in the older showers blocks-but they last for over 5 mins if not more-no need to rush, there were mothers taking 2 children in with them and all using the same 50p!
Fantastic kids area with a soft flooring to stop the kids hurting themselves, the shop was reasonable and the cafe and chip shop looked very nice although we didn't use them.
There isnt a club on site, you have to walk to the seagull, about 5-10 mins walk-we found this a good thing as it meant we stayed around the caravan on the fri and had a bbq and didnt spends as much money as usual!
W enjoyed ourselves that much that we booked for the following weekend.

My family and I stayed at the camp site from 14th to 16th July. Although it was busy, the pitches were spacious, clean and tidy as was the toilet block ( new one ) that we used. The site shop was well stocked and the prices very reasonable. The end field which is dog free would benefit from its own water tap although one was reasonably close in the adjacent field plus maybe a small toilet block as the nearest one was a little too far with four children in the middle of the night especially if they needed to use it in the night. Our sons enjoyed the play areas which were child friendly in terms of equipment and safety. The only improvement that would be of benefit is a splash / swimming pool although site fees would have to increase as a result. But I'm sure that it would be worthwhile. Our weekend break cost us £22 for a tent, 2 adults and 4 children which we consider a real bargain especially as the weather was a balmy 25+ degrees for all three days of our visit.
