We stayed here for 4 nights over the Easter weekend, and had a great time. The campsite was lovely. The staff were very friendly and helpful and showed us to our pitches. The pitches were very very spacious. We had loads of room for our camper, awning and car, and still had loads of room for the children to play. The pitches are all individually marked by boundaries of newly planted trees / hedges. Although the site was full, we never felt crowded. The site is very well looked after and very clean. The staff even organised an Easter trail for the children. The toilet and shower blocks were very clean. The site shop only stocked basic provisions, but you are not far from the larger shops of Cromer. Unfortunately for my son the fish did not seem to want to bite that weekend, although he manage to catch a handful of small fish. We were told there are carp in the lake of up to 20lb. The site is in a beautiful woodland setting. The first night we went for a walk through the woods and 2 wild deer run out just in front of us. Wow! I would definitely recommend this site and wouldn't hesitate in going back.

After years of trying to get the family camping they went for it . Even though it reached minus 1 at night they loved it BECAUSE this place was wonderful, so clean, lovely people just faultless. And the showers mmmmmmmmm hot and lovely. The bikes were top notch and the grounds well kept. The shop however was under stocked and over priced in a big way

Stayed here for a couple of nights. Very friendly and helpful welcome. Small site with no privacy between pitches but well managed, clean and tidy.
Shop sells a few bits n bobs but you'll need to travel a few miles to the nearest supermarket so if you're only going for a couple of days you'd best stock up with provisions before you go.
Each pitch has wifi internet which worked well. I wish more sites would offer this as it was one of the deciding factors in staying here.
Toilet block was very clean but the energy saving lighting was quite dim and could have done with a bit more light in the toilet cubicles!
Couple of good pub restaurants are nearby and the staff on site had some photocopied menus which was very handy given that kids can be fussy eaters!

Just returned from a lovely weeks stay here. At the last minute we decided to leave a day early and the owners had no problem accommodating us early. We stayed on the pitches 99 / 100 and although I believe a months rain fell in a couple of days the campsite did not flood. On arrival we was greeted by the owners who then took us to our pitch and spoke in length to us, a lovely personal touch. The toilet / shower blocks are modern and kept very clean and come with piped music, a nice touch. Be aware though, that the lighting in the blocks are controlled by PIR on the toilet door entrance, A couple of time's in the evening as no one else used the facilities you find yourself showering in the dark as the lights have gone out. On site shop stocks the bare essentials but you would need to go further a field for main shopping. Site has a lovely on site fishing lake that is well stocked and is not to expensive to fish or you could go to Gunton Hall as well just up the road also with good fishing. There are also wild deer in the woods who you can see when out an about. Site is quite centrally located with the town of North Walsham with its supermarkets and shops only 5 miles away and many a town located on the norfolk broads can easily be vistied. If its the beach you want, Cromer and the norfolk coast is only a little over 9 miles away and for you who want a larger shopping centre, the city of Norwich is only 15 miles away with all the usual high street stores. This site is lovely and is located in a lovely part of the world with easy access to everything you could want in a Norfolk site.

We visited this site on the strength of all the previous reviews and all in all they were correct. The site was spotless and the facilities very nice. You are not crammed together like some sites and even though it was half term the site was very peaceful and safe for children to roam around.
The only complaints I had was that for the first 3 mornings I had a cold shower and in the end went to reception where the gentleman informed me that there is a certain way of using the showers but this was not explained to us when we arrived so how was we to know? Once I knew this I hoped things would improve but on the 4th occasion the water went cold and totally stopped and then all the lights went out for about 10 mins and all I could do was wait.
Also the gates close at 11pm but one night we returned at 10.45pm to find them closed with many other cars parked outside, so we had to walk to our tents without the aid of a torch. We were informed on complaining that if we had knocked at the wardens caravan he would have let us in, but again when we arrived we were not informed of this and so had no idea where the wardens caravan was!
Even so this is a very clean well kept site with friendly staff, they just need to explain this things to you on arrival and not assume you know when you have never been there before.

Had a great weekend stay at this site. We were welcomed by the owners and were able to pitch more or less where we wanted. So we decided to pitch near the playground so that the kids could play and we could keep an eye on them. The facilities on this site were immaculate, in fact the cleanest that I have seen. We even were helped out when we had car trouble, witch we were very grateful for. We will definitely be visiting again next year. Thanks Zoe, Steve and the kids

Visited here in June and September 2006, and I can totally agree with all the other reviews on here. Great campsite with first class facilities including wireless internet (used to post this review) and very friendly owners. I would recommend this campsite to everyone.

We would totally recommend this site, we couldn't have asked for any better from our first camping trip! I only hope that anywhere else we go can live up to the very high standards that this campsite has set. The owners were very friendly & helpful & didn't laugh when we had to borrow a hook up with a longer cable, we pitched our tent too far away from the plug (oops how stupid did we feel) (£20 deposit refunded when we left). The facilities are excellent & kept very clean. Only problem we encountered was getting to use the tumble dryer, it was in big demand, but after 2 bottles of wine you don't mind waiting until 10 o'clock at night. Good walks & loads of stuff to do for days out. Without a doubt we will go back again!

Our second visit to this most wonderful site. I have never seen such wonderful toilets/showers ever on a camp site. Always clean and despite there only being 4 showers in 2 blocks I never queued. Very good family room too. Nice little shop with the basics available. Friendly staff who personally take you to your pitch. Had been very rainy before we arrived and the ground was a bit soggy where we pitched at the bottom of the field, but not really a problem. Will go back again and again.
