Everyone has said, this is a nice site. Reasonably spaced pitches, Good clean new toilet blocks although these were running to capacity over bank hol weekend. Could do with more showers but never had to queue long as most would go away and come back later. Never ran out of hot water either. Be aware that as the site provides you with TV hook-up, there are many inconsiderate campers that forget that their speaker is often positioned at the rear of the TV pointing out to other campers. We were forced during our first 5 days of having to listen to all of our neighbours viewing as well as the drone of many others across the site. There seemed to be no site rules to limit volume of TVs and stereos, which seemed to compete with each other at times. Although that said, the site generally quietens down after 11pm. I write this sitting in our tent with internet access….very useful for weather checks, and looking at things to do. Our usual method is to gather leaflets from local tourist info, but many places don’t seem to advertise this way. The area provides a good selection of beaches, and most will accept dogs, even on the sandy beaches. Dogs aren’t allowed on “main” beaches, but if you walk for no more than 5 minutes from the “main” areas, you can get to a dog friendly, sandy beach. The site incidentally is very dog friendly, and there are several walks in the area. And you will definitely see the deer on your walks as there must be over 100 of them. There is a nice big Sainsbury in North Walsham, although get directions first as you will never find it. It is also very easy to stumble across a butcher for those bbq supplies, there seems to be at least two in most towns, and make sure you visit the Bakehouse bakery in Sherringham (opposite Blythes hardware store). Its very popular with the locals. The site also has a “pond” stocked with fish, so most were catching something, also there is a small lake only 10 minutes walk away for “pay & display” fishing! There is also a free bus to the pub, but never got around to trying this.

First impressions created by the owners was excellent. I phoned the night before to enquire about check in times and was informed by the owner that one of our pitches was free so could come down whenever we wanted. When we arrived we were shown to our pitches. Once again very very friendly and made to feel welcome. The only downside to our trip was that we was next to the play area . Which was great for our kids but not so great as it seemed to be used from about seven every morning . So no chance of a lay in. Recommend asking for pitch away from this bit. However, that was our only moan . The toilets/showers were fantastic. Very modern and clean. Pitches nice big size we had two pitches. Plenty of space for kids to play football and cricket. Shop ok stocked all the basics. Bike hire arranged and reasonably priced. The owners also offer a chauffeur service to a local pub. Never went but thought was a good service if you fancied a meal out and a drink without having to worry bout driving. Cromer short drive away, Sheringham beach well worth a visit. We cycled one day and found Aldborough a lovely village. Worth a visit for a spot of lunch and look out onto the village green. The owners Heather and Graham very friendly and helpful. Recommend a visit. There is a fishing lake too. 8/10

We have been here twice now and love it., In fact it was the first sight we visited and we've had trouble finding others to match it. Heather and David are friendly , helpful and har5dworking. The toilets and showers are superb, enough of them , hot and always being cleaned. Childrens play area is just right , and the pitches are a lovely size. There is no tacky entertainment either. I will return!

We have returned from a 4 night break here and have already booked 10 nights for next year. The site is fantastic, great location and the showers/toilets etc are immaculate. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Can recommend going on the free mini bus they offer to the local pub. It was real olde world with a lovely garden and fantastic food.

We choose this site because it is disabled friendly . My fear was of showering how wrong was I ? The shower for the disabled is a 20 star rating , with a seat and plenty of handrails. The room was a very good size giving plenty of room to move about and take in a wheelchair.I was so pleased to be able to shower in private . This room , the toilets and shower block were spotless at all times as was the whole site. It rained for 3days the water didn't lay.( Bonus there ) Plenty of room on each pitch everyone was friendly. We ordered our papers for our stay and the shop had enough to keep us fed . I would recommend this site both for the disabled and able bodied Great stay

Arrived on the site, and reported to the reception, excellent service from the staff. We were escorted to our large pitch and were very impressed with the facilities described by David, even the free shuttle bus to the Spreadeagle Arms that ran twice in the evenings. Lovely site, well kept, fantastic toilet blocks with showers that would rival any newly built health club. Large play area for the kids and the fishing lake looked very popular. By the way the wireless internet access is £5 per stay, We took our two nephews (aged 6 and 8) for their first camping trip and they loved it. We were unlucky with the weather and had to de-camp to the mother-in-laws for the second night (force 9 gales, broken windbreak), down the road as our cheapo tent did not look up to the job of lasting the night. Despite the months rainfall in one night, the ground looked to hold up well the following day with good drainage. We would like to spend more time on the site as there looked plenty to do with the local walks and cycle hire on site. Even though we only live outside Norwich, we will definitely return here as this is such an excellently run and friendly camp site. (Especially thanks the fellow campers from whom I had to scrounge the set of jump leads from as the portable fridge ran our car battery down, still, you live and learn.)

Stayed at this site for a week and had a wonderful time in a relaxed and easy atmosphere. My 5 year old daughter loved the sandpit and slide and spent most of her day there. We will definitely be returning, the showers were hot and clean, the pitch was flat, the shop well stocked with necessities and there wasn't a thing we needed, if there was, help was never far away. I expect we will be returning next year, we've stayed at a number of sites now and this surpasses them all by far!

This was our second visit to Deers Glade and nice to see it is still the cleanest, quietest and friendliest campsite we have ever visited. The free very modern showers always have piping hot water all hours of the day. The washing up area and toilets are always immaculate and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. On our recent trip we found they are offering a free evening bus trip to the local pub and will collect you a couple of hours later. They offer newspapers for the morning and the shop has a good stock of essential items. If you want it they have electric hook up points with Internet access also available. Only 10 minutes drive to Cromer with easy access to a lot of the North Norfolk coast line. Can't recommend it enough, we have told a few people about it and they feel the same and don't want to camp anywhere else. Can't see it getting spoilt if the high standards and care by the management continues. "Fantastic Site"

We decided upon this campsite as the reviews were so good and have to say that everything you read is correct! The site is very clean and the pitches are spaced out and big. We have an Outwell Indiana 8 and had plenty of room for our canopy with our table and chairs in front. There was a small playground with a huge sandpit, which kept our 4 year old occupied for hours. The owners are very friendly and helpful. A very nice spot if you just want to get away from it all. I just hope all the campsites we visit from now on come up to the same standard!

Great camp site. Took some finding as we were on bikes and country lanes, and the instructions given were for main roads. still, we got there eventually, and it was worth it. Lovely helpful staff, a good shop, beautiful surroundings, a lake, a wood, a free ride to the pub, and fabulous showers. Well recommended, I'll go again.
