August 2005 This was our first camping trip and we were a bit nervous, with 3 kids between 5 and 9. Despite the weather (torrential rain, thunderstorms and hail!), we had a wonderful time. The toilets and showers were as clean and good as the other reviewers have already said and the people were just as friendly and helpful. We pitched our tent right next to the play area, which the kids loved. The giant sand pit was great, should have brought buckets and spades with us! Great campsite, would definitely recommend, especially to families.

August 2005 As others have already said, this is a friendly site with helpful staff. The toilets and showers are modern and always clean but with a park of 125 pitches, more were needed . We were taken to our pitch, and after the people next door were moved off it we pitched up(this wasn't really their fault as where to pitch was clear as mud, even the owner was puzzled where we should be). Although the park plan states a one way system, people were doing as they please which I considered unsafe, maybe upon reading this the site owner will address this problem with some signs.
Overall I would recommend this site and will be returning next year as it is in a little world of its own off the beaten track and an ideal base for travelling about the area. The best best place we found for food was the Sutton Arms.

August 2005 After purchasing our first tent in July, I Googled searched for camp sites, and this site was named. I then found Deers Glade, which was the best thing that could've happened!!
As first time campers, we were nervous, but this site was absolutely terrific. Clean and tidy, an absolute peach of a sight, and David and Heather made us very welcome. The shower/toilet block was immaculate throughout our stay, and, as I'm very fussy, this made our holiday!!!
The only downside we had, was a group of young, noisy, inconsiderate people decided to celebrate a birthday there, so we had to tolerate music, laughter, shouting and swearing til 02.40, which didnt please us. However, complained to Heather, and the next night wasnt so bad.
Would definitely go back - the walks were superb, but we mainly used the site as a base whilst we toured the area. Thoroughly enjoyed the bacon and sausages from the shop, thanks to one of the reviewers on here!!
Dont let this gem of a site pass you by!

July 2005 This is a lovely site in beautiful countryside. Ideal for newcomers to camping as the facilities are very hotel-like! There is plenty of free hot water for showers and washing up etc. The tenting section does not have regimented pitches which is quite nice I think, and everyone was sensible with spacing when I was there. There were lots of families around, and the children loved the play area.

July 2005 I just want to add my agreement to all those comments already posted. This is a fantastic site with owners who couldn't do more for you.
Facilities are spotless (and I'm fussy!!). Beautiful setting, very peaceful in the middle of a forest, kids happy in pay area and walking in the forest or just watching the fishermen at the lake. Pitches nice size, shop has all the essentials (recommend the home-grown bacon!!). We will definitely be returning.

August 2004 We have stayed at Deers Glade 3 times since opening last year. We return time and again because it is a lovely site. It is well kept and David and Heather and the staff are so friendly.
The fishing lake is well stocked and the site itself is so clean and tidy. The shower blocks are second to none (ammaculate)and the pitches are of very ample size. There is plenty to do and plenty of places to visit nearby. Us, we just go to relax and I can think of nowhere better to do that than at Deers Glade.

July 2005 I am writing this review from pitch 39 via the wireless broadband at Deers Glade.
The site as indcated by previous posts is fantastic, lots of space (pitches 13m x 13m) allowing larger tents and facilities are kept spotlessly clean. This is my first trip camping for a while and I hope that all campsites are like this but suspect I have now been spoilt! We will definitely be returning.

June 2005 Absolute gem of a site. Immaculate facilities, friendly and helpful staff. David and Heather make everyone very welcome. Good sized pitches with options to pitch facing whichever way you fancy. We were that impressed we're going again in August. The shop holds the essential items, morning papers can be ordered for the day or week. The area has all the natural Norfolk beauty you could wish for and only a ten minute journey to Cromer.

June 2005 Could not fault this site in any way. First class site, set in a lovely postion. Shower block was perfect! Showers more like being in a hotel rather than a campsite. Always plenty of hot water, building itself was kept spotlessly clean at all times, never ran out of loo roll!!
Friendly owners always on hand if there was anything you needed. Small shop on site with the basics, cheap ice creams too. Would be sure to recommend this site to anyone.

March 2005 We arrived for a week's holiday over the Easter period - the Saturday we arrived was wet (along with the Sunday) and we were told that it had rained all of Good Friday too. The ground was very wet and in some places quite waterlogged to a depth of about 2inches! Nonetheless, the owners couldn't have been more helpful - offering to help us on by towing our Caravan to the pitch if we couldn't get on (and again when we left).
The showers/toilets are absolutely fantastic - just like being at home or some posh hotel. Always clean - if you have a problem no sooner have you said something than it's put right. Can highly recommend the bacon and the sausages from the on-site shop - the little piggies come from their own Farm and are slaughtered and prepared in the nearby village.
Although this is their first proper full year the site is well worth a visit and if you like walking and looking/hearing birds it's a must. We saw our first Barn Owl feeding in the meadow on the other side of the lake. You can hear the stags during the night calling to the 'girls' if you don't manage to see one - unfortuntely we didn't.
