Just spent a wonderful weekend at this lovely site. Dave & Sarah ( the owners ) were both so friendly & helpful.
There are a 2 large showers, 1 male & 1 female, both heated & with hot, powerful showers.
The toilet blocks have just undergone renovation and were just about to be repainted as we left.
The facilities were spotless, cleaned each of the 3 days we were there.
I counted 12 hard standing pitches, all with a grass area. All appeared good & level. Some have water & waste direct to the pitch.
There are 3 good pubs, within a reasonable walking distance, we found both the Maltsters & the Diggers excellent, friendly & with great food.
Also, mustn't forget Cara's cafe, a very short walk away, one of the best breakfasts I've had!
There's a garage with shop a five minute drive away & a great farm shop, Greendales only a 2 minute drive.
This site is within a fifteen minute drive of the beaches of Exmouth & Budleigh Salterton.
Couldn't recommend higher!

We stay on a lot of campsites, for a small site Brooklands is very good one, hard standing pitches all with own grass area, the shower rooms are huge, powerful hot showers, sink, mirror, bench and lots of room to get dressed.
Impressive recycling facilities, even got to see the resident glow worms. Quite site, nice atmosphere.
Within walking distance to a big Farm shop which has picnic benches and animal enclosures, there is also a Pub close by.
The owners Dave & Sarah are great hosts!

Spent a very nice week here. Great sized pitch with water and electric and reasonable prices. We had an issue with our electric cable and Dave kindly lent us one of theirs - turned out to be a loose connection.
Nice quiet site, and a great location. About 5 mins from the M5, Crealy Adventure Park and a good location for exploring the area and further afield; we visited Clovelly from here, taking about 90 mins to get there. Although lots of good attractions closeby - Crealy Adventure Park, Seaton Tramway, Pecorama (Beer), Bicton Park.
We ate a few times at the Cat & Fiddle pub a short drive away - very nice food and a small indoor play area for children. We had tried the White Horse (at the top of the road) and not impressed with the reception we got there.
The toilets could have done with refurbishment (which had been done when we visited again in August), although as been said by others a daily inspection and clean would not go amiss. Sadly not everyone leaves them as they found them.
Would definitely stay again.

Small secluded site and has potential to be lovely. When we visited there was building work going on. No birdsong just the sound of a bulldozer.
There is one state of the art wet room which was inadequate for the size of the site. The shower and toilets hadn't been cleaned and were full of insects and cobwebs. We were there 5 days and had to ask for the showers and toilets to be cleaned. Later that day the floors had been mopped and the sinks cleaned. This isn't good enough for the prices being charged for this site.

A nice small campsite in a good location without shop or club but that's why we chose it however shop/garage and pubs nearby.
Site is pretty level, nicely grassed and well maintained pitches with shrubs and tree's and gravelled hardstanding for car. Electric hookup if required.
Dave the owner was friendly and very helpful.
Brooklands is within good reach of Exmouth, Sidmouth, Exeter, many local attractions and beaches within short driving distance.
Shower rooms and toilets are basic but plenty of hot water supplied. They could have been cleaned a bit more often but we were only staying one night. There is a laundry area but we didn't use this during our stay.
Would definitely stay again.

We stayed overnight and although the weather was still cold, we were made to feel very welcome by the owners.
The positives were a spotless, well maintained site. The wet room 'power' showers / sink were spotless and plenty of hot water available. They were heated as well as the toilet block which was also very clean, if a little cramped to sit down. There was the therapeutic sound of the stream running near the site (though this did encourage you to use the toilet a little more often during the night! A very quite site and tucked away off the main road.
We ate at the 'White Hourse' public house (about a 5-10 min walk from the site). Highly recommended. Lovely food, service and atmosphere. If you are eating in the evening though, take a torch for the slight downhill walk home as there is no street lighting and it is very dark!.
The 2 of us paid £10 for our 3 man tent and car on a level pitch and car hard standing.
It is only about 1 mile from creely adventure park so handy for a visit if you have children.
We have not been camping for many years and came away feeling very positive about our stay and this site. We will be staying here again.
