Again just had a very pleasurable weekend, June last year was when we first visited when the site had only a tap and yes what a difference a year makes, Pete and sally have been working really hard to get this site moving.
The rain didn't even spoil anything because we visited pocklinton on the Saturday, very nice village, had co-op, greggs, boots, DIY shop and many other little shops etc.
Saturday night we called into the nearest pub (2 miles away) Boot n Shoe and had a nice meal.
Will return hopefully the sun will shine and we can fish in the large lake. Can't wait for the shower block to be built, then the site will be a gem.
Will return

Laytham Park a great place to camp or caravan. Run by Peter and Sally such a nice couple and friendly. They made our camping experience welcome. A nice lake to walk round and friendly Ducks and Swan.
We went when the weather wasn't good. But we still enjoyed are camping can't wait to come back and di it all again as its only 30 mins form York. A very safe and friendly campsite.
The only thing is there wasn't any toilet blocks or showers but they have now got planning permission and are soon to build. If you want somewhere to relax and have peace and travel to see York this is the place for you.

This is a great basic site, with great dog walking, fishing and owners.
We have just returned from a 3 night stay and cant wait to go back. Yes the facilities are basic but it is a new site with so much to offer.
The owners peter and sally just cant do enough, we forgot to get mayonnaise for the salad, and off sally went to the shop to get us some.
The fishing was great, I caught 2 catfish as well as lots of other small stuff.
This is a site worth a visit, just remember it is, basic, quiet, dog friendly, and so very laid back.
Go and enjoy.

Just had a lovely weekend at Laytham Park.
The owners are warm and friendly.
Due to our pitch not being required for another booking, there was no deadline time to leave the site, which meant we had a very relaxed last day.
The site is in a very quiet location, as long as you don't mind some bird song.
There is no shower block as of yet, but if you don't mind using your own facilities this is a great site.
My wife was in two minds on whether I should right a good review, but only because the site was good, and she does not want it to be fully booked next time we try and come here.
Looking forward to returning and seeing how this new site develops, but very impressed so far.
Low ratings for 'site facilities' as there isn't a toilet block yet. We were happy to use our own.
Low ratings for 'child friendliness', as their is no children's play area, but I would not expect one of a site this size.

Just returned from Easter weekend at this site, Peter and Sally were great hosts and the site was lovely and quiet. We had a hard standing pitch and had our awning on grass no charge for awning and no charge for our dog either. The site is well laid out with views of the ponds, our little girl loved feeding the ducks and seeing the horses. Visited York which is only a short drive away, also visited Elvington had a lovely carvery dinner and a visit to air museum. We will return later in year and I'm sure this site will become more popular as people discover it.

Our friends found this new site just by chance and yes a good result. Had 2 visits with other caravanners earlier this year, both were fantastic!
Site is a huge sun-trap with a large fishing lake which my 15year old son liked. The owners gave us a warm welome and very helpful with anything from long walks to the local pub and local butchers.
We hope to see them next year as we will definitely return again with more family and friends.

My husband and myself as been to latham park a couple of times and also have taken a couple more caravans with us.
The owners are very warm and very friendly and would do anything for you nothing is to much trouble.
The second time we went the weather was red hot and the park is a very good sun trap, very quite and got some lovely walks nearby sally will even do you a map so you don't get lost.
Just to say good luck to you both and thanks for making us very welcome we will be back soon to see you both.
Cant wait to see the site when complete with toilets and showers and hookups.
