 What a wonderful little camp site. The owners Dudley & Stephany are the most obliging couple you can meet. Providing you do not damage the place is yours. Right next to a lock on the river Stort. Turn right and you have shops within 10 minutes, turn left and nothing but pure nature for 2 miles. There is a nature reserve just along the footpath and a canoe club 2 minutes away. A bit longer walk and you have a couple of pubs and restaurants.
We parked for the olympics, 12 minutes walk and you are on Bishops Stortfod station, 40 minutes later you are in Liverpool Street station. Our dog Fergus loves to sit outside the caravan and watch the rabbits playing. Have been back twice now and cannot find a bad thing to say about the site.

We had a lovely weekend here last week despite the rain. The owners are very friendly and helpful, we hada beautiful view of the river from where we were pitched up, were allowed to have a campfire,
the site is a little gem, it was the closest thing to wind camping but with electricity .
Lovely walks along the river where there is the local town, pubs, restaurants, super markets, pool, numerous children's parks and paddling pool, also a car boot sale on a sunday.
I'd give this place 5 stars and were going back again very soon.
All facilities are clean and well maintained and their cat Alice is a hit with the kids.
