Absolutely beautiful site, facilities are basic, its a CL but everything is in good condition, works and is clean. This was our second visit to The Old Stables. Peace and tranquility in a secluded piece of Norfolk. There is a large field for games and a fishing lake that is worth a visit just to glimpse the local wildlife. The owners could not have been more helpful, the addition of 4 hard standing plots makes for easy pitching and a comfortable stay and the free range eggs were lovely North Walsham has a good selection of shops including a large Sainsburys and a Waitrose. Cromer is close for a day trip and Norwich is only 40 minutes drive away.
I am sure a third visit is on the cards.

Just returned from a really lovely couple of days at this campsite, the owners couldn't be more helpful, especially the man who told us places to eat and good walks, the campsite is very well maintained and lovely and clean, he takes a real pride in his toilet, and the utilities area. Would certainly recommend this site.

Just returned from a 9night stay at this site, and wished it was for longer. The owners couldn't have been nicer. So helpful and happy to all that stayed there. There is now the addition of free range eggs for sale, and if available I would certainly recommend them. They also get a lot of people returning to their site and we met up with two couples that were there the same time as us last year. I can thoroughly recommend this lovely cl site.

Excellent site, with excellent hosts. Nothing too much trouble.
Fishing is very good with a good spread of species.
Facilities are basic but kept to a high standard.
Keith is always to hand to answer any questions but generally leaves you to get on with your holiday.
North walsham is only 5 minutes up the road but has all the facilities incl Sainsburys.
This site is far better value than any of the local CC sites. We will be booking a visit back here very soon. Well done Keith and Margaret thanks for a great holiday.

Great quiet adults only site. Owners are very helpful when we had trouble with the tv aerial in the van.
Level field.
Ample space for touring van/motorhomes.
Set in a nice location approx 1-2 miles from the centre of North Walsham with shops and local supermarkets (Sainsburys/Lidls) etc.
Take away shops offering pizza/chips also available.
Central to Wroxham for shopping. Great Yarmouth and Cromer all within a reasonable drive.
Toilet facilities on site are very clean ( Which the owners do on a day to day basis)
For the fisherman/Women there is a great lake, very mature with carp, tench and other species which offers great sport.
Electric is via card payment at beginning of stay.
Would recommend.
Have booked a longer stay and personally can't wait!

What can we say about this site that has not already been said.
The owners made us feel very welcome on our arrival. The pitches were very spacious, clean and tidy and you can even choose which way you wish to face your outfit, a real treat as many sites dictate the terms.
We had a slight problem with out television reception and Keith went out of his way to help get this sorted even loaning us some cable and a booster box which gave us a perfect reception.
Beautiful fishing lake with good fishing.
Lovely field for the dogs to run in adjacent to the caravan site.
No petty rules.
Lots of wildlife to be seen, all in all the perfect site for your holiday.
We have already booked to return later in the summer and will certainly be returning as often as we can.
Thank you, keep up the good work.

We're loving this site and are heading back this weekend for the third time this year! The site is small, quiet and immaculately kept. Owners are very friendly and accommodating too, coming out to welcome us on each occasion and full of recommendations in the local area.
Add to this the fact that you feel you're in deepest Norfolk but are actually only two minutes from North Walsham and a full size Sainsbury's and you have it all. A little gem!

Very pretty CL site, with a well stocked, maintained and thought out fishing lake to the side of the field where you pitch your caravans. As the site offers only 5 pitches, there was no over crowding.
I found the site extremely relaxing, very peaceful and quiet ideal for a weekend or week break as Cromer is only 9 miles away and North Walsham being a small market town has an abundance of shops and a large supermarket, where you can get all you need.
The owners are very friendly and made us feel really welcome. We had a lovely barbecue on the Saturday evening in the sunshine, then walked around the lake at dusk, watching and chatting to the fisherman was thoroughly enjoyable.
The toilet and waste, water and recycling facilities were spotless and well kept.
Will definitely be returning next year!

This is a beautiful well run site, the owners are very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome.
The fishing lake is very attractive with lots of large fish, there is an abundance of wildlife. The site is in a quiet location close to the town which has a number of shops restaurants and pubs.
The waste disposal area and toilet are spotlessly clean.
The lovely beaches of Cromer and Sherringham are not too far away, and thanks to the information given to us by the owner we visited the beautiful sands at Horsey and saw the seals.
We will definitely visit again and are looking forward to seeing the owners planned wild flower meadow and additional lake.

What a fantastic CL site. The owners Keith & Margaret couldn't be more helpful, what a lovely couple nothing is to much trouble. Only 9 miles from Cromer, other seaside Towns also close by. Sainsbury's approx 2 miles we were very surprised at the size of the Town in North Walsham, with plenty of shops.
The site has a beautiful fishing lake with many different spieces of fish including large carp. My Husband and Son thought the fishing excellent and my son pulled out a 10lb carp along with many other fish. My Husband also caught loads of lovely fish. As you can tell I am not a fisherman, but they say it is a fantastic lake to fish.
It is a very quiet site and there is a very clean toilet in a shed. Water and elsan tip also very clean. In all we feel that we have stumbled onto a wonderful CL and will be back next year for longer. The site is not really for children because of the lake, although it is totally fenced and gated. Shame it is 3 hours journey from us otherwise we would be there every weekend.
