Had a two night stay over Friday/Saturday nights.
The pitches were well spaced out and all pretty much get the sun all day which was good. Despite being August, there were not many children on site which made it very quiet and relaxing.
The facilities were kept clean. There's only one toilet/shower in the gents which did lead to the odd queue, but it was quite busy, would probably be fine at quieter times. The shower is 50p and lasts 5 mins.
The Foresters pub at Frogham is just about a miles away so about a 20 min stroll. It's worth printing the Ordnance Survey maps, as there are some small paths you can take to keep off the road. Although the road is fairly quiet anyway.
To get to the open forest is only about a 10 min walk from the site, so very convenient.
Will return as it's a good site for walking the New Forest and has a handy pub nearby.

I spent a glorious 10 days here. As a disabled person using a mobility scooter I had anxieties about how to fill my days. Not a problem, I could trundle along the pavement, less than a mile to Sandy Balls for a small but expensive supermarket. A little further on is the Fighting Cocks Godshill's local pub. Fordingbridge is a bit further off, but there is a path through the fields for walkers.
On site the staff are friendly & chatty without being intrusive. The small but well equipped information area has a well stocked library of donated books. The site is laid out so that there is a feeling of seclusion. The sheer delight of sitting in the sun listening to the hens and donkeys, bees buzzing in the shrubs. The showers at 50p last 5 minutes and the disabled shower was large and always clean. Laundry facilities available on enquiry. My only reservation to a glowing reference is too many people will book and I won't get in!

I think we have stayed on this site about ten times and I have been wrong not to write a review to let the owners and everybody else how good it is ! It is very clean and beautifully maintained - we have watched the lovely shrubs mature over the years. We love the morning call from the two donkeys and very sad if I sleep through it! We are walkers and have found many many paths to follow. Every time we go we forget to take the map and have to buy another one - we could start a stall of maps of the area next time we go ! Valerie, Richard and Matthew are perfect hosts -'there if you need them but not intrusive. We like all times of the year to visit as each season has something different to offer.

Sadly, too many kids, too many site rules broken by parents with kids! No ball games! Kids and parents playing rugby & rounders! No visitors cars! Visitors Cars parked on caravan field! Only 1 shower for gents and 1 for women! 50p per time! Only 1 toilet each! On the up side, all very clean. Sadly we won't be back, it'll be adults only when we can and we won't be coming back here!

Stayed just one enjoyable night at Gorse Farm Caravan Park recently on our way West. It accepts campers/motorhomes and caravans plus well behaved dogs but does not allow tents. It is a gated small, well maintained site near the pretty town of Fordingbridge in the New Forest. It is all very clean and well cared for and consists of a large, landscaped, camping field area which is acceptably level and has straights and curves to it which act to loosely separate areas and give a relaxed feel. There are closely mown, generous grass pitches with some hard standing interspersed here and there each with electrical hook-ups. All marked by a single back board which you are asked to line up with. It doesn't feel regimented though. Shrubs and plants separate the clean and tidy gravelled entrance area which also contains the simple, but spotless and well serviced, facilities block:- 2 toilets in gents/2 in ladies): 1 x very generous shower cubicle in each (50p slot system. - didn't use so not sure how long that allows - felt it was a shame showers were not included in the overall price really). Still lovely hot water and shaver/hairdryer/hand dryer points all there. Also has external covered washing up area and a set of recycling bins, which were sensibly placed in the shade. Water and waste services also available.
Small trees surround the camping field to give a little shade to each pitch and at the time of our stay the adjoining fields had sheep grazing. The sun sets over nearby forest and the site is a peaceful place to be. No children's play area - thank goodness and the few children around were playing around their pitch or within the large central grassed area with due consideration for other campers. The site is set behind the owners other business selling animal feeds which also acts as a very simple campsite office and is open every day. It is run by friendly and helpful people who are welcoming and ready to answer any queries. You pay in the shop and as we arrived after it had closed we were met, as arranged, by a smiling Matthew - who arrived on a tractor as we did - and showed us to our pitch (a choice of hard standing or grass). We were told to pop over and pay in the shop when we were ready the next day.
Walks : We didn't have a local map which made finding the nearest dog walk more of a challenge as I had forgotten to ask Matthew when we arrived. Lucky I turned right out of the entrance onto the lane and found a walk along a path into woods half way down the hill on the right past a cottage or two. I did also investigate to the left on the lane and saw no footpath signs at all, or any obvious walkways. Map definitely needed!
Downside: We felt Fordingbridge was little far to walk from the site in the evening, as was the nearest pub (although we don't mind quite a stroll). We stayed one night, as planned, and were one of three motorhomes amongst about ten caravans - all spaciously placed. It felt relaxed and uncrowded.
Would we return ? For welcome, people, facilities, quiet atmosphere, value for money - £14. 50 for pitch/hookup/ two adults/two dogs - certainly.
For more than one night? Well, as we like to just park up and leave our motorhome while we walk out to explore, we might try to find somewhere nearer Fordingbridge and the pub.

Stayed here a few times over the years. Stopped as they no longer accepted Tents. I think this has changed again.
As per other reviews very well laid out with pitch around the outside. Plenty or area for kids to play, though stay clear of the working part.
Locally good, just down the hill is a ford. From hear you can get a good walks in.
Local Pub is a good 10 mins away, Fordingbridge is within walking distance but allow plenty of time as its a good walk.
Pricing is standard for this type of site.
Yes would use again. In fact my inlaws stay on this site most of the summer.
