Site was clean and tidy with nice pitches all serviced,
Although site was not clearly signposted,
Shower rooms were excellent but a separate loo would have been nice as if site was full you would not have a loo if people were showering.
The noise from the planes is fairly constant and dogs barking in the distance was annoying.
Owners never asked if everything was ok.
Enjoyed the area and site was ok but doubt if would go back

Approaching the site it wasn't clear to us where to book in, nowhere did it say reception so we guessed it would be the white doors in the car park.
Vicky is lovely and gave us a warm welcome. Brendan is probably a really nice man but his manner can come across as aloof and abrupt on the phone.
The site is immaculate with a loo/shower block that is superb although the chemical disposal site is down near the park gates.
We weren't too bothered by the planes overhead, but noise from the kennels nearby was sometimes disturbing.
On the whole this is a lovely site.

We booked for 4 nights but left after three due to having very little sleep. The caravan park is on the flight path for planes landing at East Midlands Airport and this starts early evening and continues throughout the night.
There are no dog walking facilities, I was told to walk the dogs offsite and was given a map to Midshires Way walk but it was a hay field and the grass on the path was up to my knees.
The bathrooms were very clean however there is only one gents and one ladies with shower, basin and toilet together which became a problem if someone was having a shower and you needed the toilet.
All sites had power, grey water disposal and fresh water which was a bonus.
Unfortunately due to the noise from the planes we will definitely not be going back.

Nearby Dog kennels with all night barking.
On the flight path to East midlands airport with flights coming in during the night. Great site if you don't need sleep.
Other than the noise issues, the site is spotlessly clean and well maintained small site with very nice toilet/bathroom facility, but only one for men and one for women so if someone's having a shower you're gonna have to wait.
This is a rural site but within 10 minutes walk of the village of East Leake. I've marked the location down though because it is so close to the airport.
The pitch was well supplied with water, drain and electric hook-up.

Lovely rural site, yet convenient access from M1 and for visiting Nottingham and touring E Midlands area.
Dogs on lead on site due alpacas and horses but short path leads to Midshires way.
Toilet/washroom facilities excellent but may be a bit limited if they are to be used by occupants of the holiday chalets under construction. Only negative is some noise from aircraft in and out of E Midlands Airport.

Not much to add to previous review by Sharpe417. We agree with all of those comments.
If airplanes coming into land or taking off disturb you then this this not the site for you. The site is on a direct fly path to East Midlands Airport & while we were there they were at 1, 500 to 2, 500 feet.
The pitches are on the generous size, 8 hard standing, 2 grass. All with EHU, water and a grey waste drain @ £19 per night for 2 adults. The pitches are flat but not level and leveling blocks may be needed.
The toilet emptying is about 150yds(at site entrance) from the pitches. But there are plans to build a new unit near to the super duper toilet cabin.
The toilet facilities are housed in a warm wooden chalet type building & are kept very clean. One room for each sex housing toilet, basin & walk in shower. There is local information contained in the chalet as well.
5 camping chalets are being built, while this site has all you need it is still a work in progress & that work is of a high quality.

Great site. Excellent facilities. Large hardstanding all service pitches. First class toilet block, recently completed. Friendly owners who have done most of the work themselves.
Alpacas in the field next door one side, horses the other side. Planes overhead occasionally, might disturb some didn't bother us at all, otherwise a very quiet site.
A few miles off the M1. 5 mins in the car or 30 min walk into East Leake for pubs, shops and a very good fish and chip shop. Plenty to do in the area. Would visit here again if we are in the area.

Bit of a mixed bag this one!
Positives
Site has fully serviced pitches, good size with grey slate surface, but have good rock pegs.
Lamar’s and horses on site so keep dogs on lead at all times.
Nice area and can walk from site to midshires way,
Rushcliffe country park up the road with fantastic facilities for all ages. And next to GCR Railway Nottingham sheds.
Local chip shop always packed so that tells you something, and a few pubs to choice from. Local CO-OP
New toilet shower blocked being built.
Five new camping pods being built.
Negatives
Brendon the owner is a bit stand of at first, but does come round in the end.
On the flight path for Aircraft coming into land at East mids airport (which never bothered us)
£15-00 is for 2 adults and awning per night only.
£2-00 a night for a dog.
£3-00 a night extra person (regardless of age)
£5-00 per extra car
Toilet only open 9am to 7pm. Closed for 14hrs. (But is going to give 24hr access via a key going forward)
No dog walk area, or child play area. (has purchased 2 extra fields, with a dog walk going forward)
Overall
This seems a site in progress, from muddy grass pitches a year ago to hard standing now.
I see this being a good site when all the facilities have been completed, but be aware a family will be paying large site prices for a CL/CS

The site is reasonable, what it doesn't tell you in the description is that it is on the flight path of East Midlands airport, so the noise of low flying aircraft every 2 minutes was loud, also there is kennels along the road and you can hear the dogs barking - so we didn't get too much sleep I ended up with ear plugs in.
The toilet and shower are only open between 9am and 7pm as these are situated next to the office. Also if you intend to stay here make sure you have English money, I was informed by the owner that he didn't take Scottish money, when I offered to pay by card he said he didn't take cards either, so we made a trip into town to get English money.
I have to say that nobody else in that area had a problem with our Scottish money.
