This is a beautiful small site in an old orchard, next to a farmhouse with a small stream meandering its way along one side. Caravan pitches are level and spacious, the toilet block is brand new, spotless and actually a converted smokehouse, new washing up/waste facilities are situated outside and around the back. Dogs on leads on site but large fields and a long walk are only over the road. 5 mins from Malton, 30 mins to York or the coast means it is very well located, Castle Howard and the fantastic Scampston Walled Garden are also short drives away.
We are amazed (and pleased !) there are so few people here, it's not yet well known but should be top of the list if you are looking to stay in the area. The owners are so friendly and take time to speak with guests each day checking everything is fine.
Other small sites need to look to this place as a standard to be achieved, like all the others on site have said, we'll be back.

We spent a fabulous week at this beautiful peaceful site. Our pitch was large, private and beside a steam with a picnic bench. The site itself has lovely amenities as previously stated and the washing up area is now covered, all kept lovely and clean. The site is close to a host of local attractions the closest being the market town of Malton, we would highly recommend you visit the quaint Palace Cinema a lovely experience. Looking forward to returning next year.

We stayed here for the Malton food festival. The site is adults only and has room for 5 units on a very spacious and well maintained field with only a slight slope in places. It is a Camping and Caravan club site. Dogs are allowed and there is Electric hook up.
4 adults, 1 dog and electric was £38 for two nights over the bank holiday weekend.
We had a very warm welcome and the lady who books us in explained about the surrounding area. She was really nice and made sure everything was OK.
Other campers were friendly to camp with. I did worry when booking that the Adults only campers would be grumpy, but that wasn't the case here.
Toilet block was spotless and modern with everything that you need. There is a potwash and recycling facilities.
We walked into Malton and the route that we took was pleasant all over farmland and great for the dog as no roads involved.
This took just over an hour. It is shorter to walk the road.
We got a taxi back from Malton which was £7 and 2. 8 miles.
My sat nav has Tomtom traffic which often re routes to avoid traffic jams. It sent us from Leeds (A64) onto the road to Bridlington, then a left near Stamford Bridge. This route has a narrow bridge of only 2. 2 metres which we then had to avoid. With hindsight, staying on the A64 to Malton would have been better.
I would highly recommend this site. We initially chose here for the Food festival, but will happily return simply because its such a nice place.
Thanks for a great weekend.

Have just spent the bank holiday weekend at this campsite with friends and had a brilliant time. The owner is very friendly who will stop to have a conversation with you. Facilities are very clean and modern. Would definitely go back. The ground is very well maintained. You can hire fire pits and bbq's. On the Sat night it rained just about all night and most of the day on Sun. When we saw owner on the Mon morning he told us there was no need to pack up by the leaving time which is 11am so to give our tent time to dry. Brilliant campsite.

What a gem, spotlessly clean, lovely and peaceful site. We were only booked for 2 nights but luckily we could stay for 3. Not far to go to Pickering and we loved Thornton-le-dale. We went to Thornton- le- dale country show, which was really worth a visit. A really lovely area and the site is owned by a very nice couple. Hopefully we will return.

Just home after a fantastic 9 night stay on this site. This lovely site has to be one of the best we have stayed on.
We were in a tent with electric hook up, we pitched at the far end of the site as far away from the power supply as we could (10M cable) close to the small stream that ran along the edge of the site. I think we had the best pitch on site near to a large picnic table that we used often. There was a slight slope but nothing to be too concerned about. The view from the tent first thing in the morning made up for that. The toilet and shower was beautifully finished, clean and modern, you would be proud to have a bathroom like this in your home.
I think if the site were to get busier it could do with another shower and toilet, but at the moment quite adequate and we never had to queue or wait, even though there were 4 Caravans, 2 Tents & a Motorhome one night.
Only two small criticisms both to do with washing up, first the area could do with a simple roof over it, this again was not a big problem as it only rained one night. Secondly a bit of work top next to the sink would be handy, but, this is a brand new site.
The site is on a working farm, and it was harvest time when we stayed but the owners still found time for a quick chat and to recommend a pub or two to eat at or a place to visit.
All in all this is a first class site that really deserves to do well, we enjoyed our stay and wish the owners all the best in this new venture and thank you for letting us stay.

We both found this site lovely, in that it was situated within an orchard with plenty of space between caravans. We were fortunate in having the site to ourselves as we found out later that it had opened only recently. I'm sure it will become popular amongst people who enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the countryside. The facilities were excellent, clean and very nicely thought out. If I had to make a comment it would only be to say that the shower could do with a hand rail of some sort for people who have mobility problems, (a rail to hold on to).
We were fine but we are both reasonably fit and healthy.
There are plenty of shops nearby, e. G. Lidl, Morrison's and Asda. As the weather was lovely we mainly had a barbecue and this was well thought out too as a stand was provided for this. Sledmere House and Gardens were a joy to visit and surrounding areas.
The owners greeted us when we arrived and made sure we knew where everything was. They were very pleasant and we were visited the night before we left. Would recommend.
