This site is perfection, if Carlsberg did caravan sites this would be it, quiet, clean, and friendly hosts,
The site is well drained 'no muddy tracks ect' pitches are well spaced with plenty of room and of course hard standing with leccy, and because the layout of the site is around a paddock nobody overlooks you, has I say perfection😇

It's best to approach this site from the A3075 as the lane gets very narrow with few passing places once you get past the site entrance. The location makes it a good base to explore the Newquay and Perranporth areas. Healeys Cyder Farm is worth a visit and if you have a big appetite try Smokey Joes which is about 15 mins away on the old A30 at Blackwater
First the good points:It's a quiet site with new Toilets and Showers (operated by Tokens obtainable free from the owner). The pitches are separated by a small earth embankment and are reasonably spaced. Great views over the countryside. Plenty of footpaths nearby to walk the dogs.
Not so good points:
1. The ladies toilet was frequently without a loo roll and we ended up taking our own.
2. Tiled Shower floor very slippery when in use. The timer starts as soon as the token goes in so to allow time to undress better to use two tokens.
3. After an initial friendly welcome the Owners became very fussy complaining we were leaving litter and allowing the dogs to foul the site and we felt we were treading on eggshells the whole time. My daughter who lives nearby came to see us and was told visitors are not allowed unless paying. After some discussion the owner agreed she could stay but only for an hour. It was made very clear that departure time was 10. 00am
4. The site advertises it takes 5 units but whilst we were there there were 8 occupied pitches plus another caravan left empty.
Needless to say we won't be returning!

I booked this site after trying to book treamble valley cc site but they didn't have vacancies for the nights I needed, which as it turned out suited us fine, higher hendra park is only a couple of hundred yards up the lane from treamble valley. The site is lovely and quite, nice big pitches with a new shower&toilet block which are kept lovely and clean, showers are free just get your tokens from the owners Christine&David who are really friendly and helpful. The site is nicely situated for easy access to some lovely beaches are favourites being portreath and trevuance cove and Holywell bay. I would deffinetly use this lovely site again

We have stayed on this site several times since it opened and we have never found any problems.
The site is always kept clean and tidy, David and Christine are very friendly and helpful.
Dogs are supposed to be kept on a lead at all times but some dog owners think it doesn't apply to them and let their dogs run loose.
We have witnessed dogs fouling the site so we can understand the owners being concerned when dogs are not on a lead.
We would highly recommend this site.

Stayed here in August 2013, but it was not listed on this site at the time. We are returning again this August.
Lovely site, very quiet, great bolt hole for us living within 10 miles. Friendly & welcoming owners, lovely new and clean shower & loos (1 shower & 3 loos each M & F). Chemical waste point. Site surrounds a small paddock with a couple of ponies.
The last bit of the drive to site is quite narrow, but there are passing places, we had no problems.
We walked over to the garden centre at Goonhavern on the footpaths and had a very nice lunch, sat outside with our dog!
The best CL we have found so far!
