Just spent a weekend at this site, 7 off us altogether plus a dog. The site was flat and level but electric hook up field got busy on Saturday. Had a large tent right behind us, they were very noisy. The entertainment was good but could go with a bigger venue, as we were putting our coats on people were pushing us out the way to get our table. The swimming pool was cold and busy so couldn't actually swim. Toilets and showers are basic, got nowhere to hang your clothes whilst in the shower. This is a great budget site, had brilliant dog walking areas, but I prefer New Beach as its a bigger site

Nice open electric field with non electric around the outside of the site.

Very helpful staff, the site guy walked me around the site to find the best spot as we had two more caravans turning up the next day so wanted a big space, this was no trouble for him even though it was busy (The Royal wedding weekend).

The entertainment as usual was ok, and drinks etc fairly priced. There is a small indoor pool and sauna etc and also an amusement arcade.

The toilets etc. are portable cabins, but they are clean and hot water wasn't a problem.

Only down side was it gets very windy! So make sure everything is pegged down tight!

I found this campsite using this site and after reading the reviews as I didn't know the area. What can I say it's great if you like small quiet campsites. There are two fields one for electrical hook ups and on e for tents. All the pitches are around the edge of the field so even if it's full there is a big space for the children to stay in the middle. A new toilet block is kept spotless, and even the old back up toilets in the barn are kept in he same state. The owners are very friendly. I liked it a lot and plan to go back later in the year.

We arrived at this site for a short stay in the summer holidays. There were no problems with our pitch size as we had enough room for our 5-man tent and the car. The toilet and shower facilities were fine but it would be good if their were more showers, yet again we arrived at a busy period so having to queue for 5mins before using a shower was understandable.

The bar and restaurant facilities seemed ok, but we didn't try any of the food there so I can't really comment.

The amusements arcade was small and a few games were broken so that was a downside to the park.

The swimming pool was warm but crowded so didn't really have much room to swim. Although at quieter periods I'm sure it would be better.

Shop was ok, no problems there and the play area seemed good, there was also space for a small game of football which was good.

We found it a great base to visit attractions in the local area, Camber Sands beach is definitely worth checking out if its a non-windy day!Overall an ok family site if you are on a budget.

After reading the reviews on this site I thought I made a mistake booking it for a long weekend with my family, how wrong was I !

I can not see what people are moaning about

Ok the toilet block is out of date and the water supply is hit and miss how ever I could not any other fault with this site and cant wait to book a 2 week holiday here.

On arrival was greeted by a friendly member of staff who said we had a choice where to pitch and walked us over to the main field.

Here is a break down of all that is good

>clean,well maintained level field

>well lit at night

>security walking round throughout the night

>well stocked shop with fresh baked bread

>amusement arcades

>club house, with great entertainment for young and old

>area for kids to play

>separate adult only bar/lounge area

>choice of 2 fields one with no play area if you don't like kids play around near you,or field where kids play so you can keep a close an eye on them

This really is a family friendly site.

We tried to get Camber sands but it was fully booked so ended up at Marlie Farm

The Good Points, cheaper than most (unless you add loads of kids and extra cars as they consider these as extras)

The touring space still had a few spaces so you could probably leave it till the last minute to book up (although in some areas, tents were effectively doubling up.

The kids entertainment (about an 1 hour in the morning and afternoon) was quite good for the under 10s (still requires an adult to be there but there was no cost

New Romney is a nice Cinque port to visit and the beach is about 5 mins drive. It is a nice beach and good for the kids as shallow for a good distance. Surprisingly it isn't that busy as everyone heads for Dymchurch for some reason (not as nice and can get caught out by the tide. Camber sands is also v.Nice but packed and very windy nearly all the time (good for kites)

Bad points

For those that have read some previous comments about the toilets, they weren't wrong - the reason is that the brick building had asbestos years ago and the temporary toilet blocks now seem to be more permanent although somebody reckoned the company were working through their sites and were renovating one a year so it could be next season sees the long awaited new toilet / shower block

The pool is small but 20 people were in it so you could not swim. It was warm when I went in (weekend) but apparently it was cold during the week.

The evening entertainment isn't as good as park resorts or park dean but what do you expect for the price.

There is security and the site was quite despite the number of children. I got the feeling that its an ok site for primary school age children's but think anything older would have problems finding things to entertain themselves with.

Would I recommend this site - possibly for its location, not for its facilities, yes for a budget trip for a few days, probably not for a week though.

One last thing - our friend left early with all our passes, which meant we had also overpaid. The assistant whilst friendly, was not able to repay the overspend and was going to charge us again for the passes - bit of a jobs worth really

Me my wife and two children booked to stay at marlie farm for 3 nights in June the weather was great so I was looking forward to a relaxing weekend visiting the Kent coastline,

After pitching our monty we went for a look around the site( first stop toilets / showers) this is where things started to go wrong they where in portable cabins and in my opinion where not up to the standards that I expected, there was a wiff of wee in the air ( I felt like washing my shoes after using them) wet floors arrrhh. )

The kids then wanted to go to see the pool which is actually a large bath (very disappointed children and adults), even with these disappointments we where still looking forward to visiting the beaches and chilling out unfortunately this didn't happen as there was a group of polish men sharing a tent near us, they where drinking and talking loudly until 4 am then going of to work before returning in the evening. The wardens where nowhere to be seen.

After 2 nights we packed up and went home. Marlie farm it seems is not the place for us, maybe we where unlucky with the people using the site but I will not be going back.

Having been to marlie farm as a child and again about ten years ago with my own children thought it was about time we revisited. The shower cubicles were dark and dingy with no where to hang your towel or clothes. The toilets were not much better and they were all locked at 10 oclock. The site has not changed much although there are definitely more static caravans. The shop didn't open till 9 and closed at 5 and there wasn't much stock in it. Thank god sainsburys was a short walk away. As in other reviews we didn't go in the pool but it looked no bigger than a large bath! The site was noisy at night and early morning and it did seem like some people were living there as the men went out in work vans in the morning and returned at night. Having said that the staff were very friendly although we did not use any of the entertainment bars or restaurants.

Very helpful member of staff on arrival and all was clearly explained. Some pitches seemed very close together but we had plenty of space on ours.

Showers and toilets are in portakabins but were clean and had plenty of water. It would be handy to have basins in shower unit for shaving etc. We were told that the pool was not working which was a pity.

Food and entertainment were available but we did not try. Good security on site and a safe place for children to play. We enjoyed our 2 nights here.

Recently been to this site, well not very good value for money, toilets ok, showers had mould growing on the ceilings and walls but at least warm.

The pool is very small and not very clean, only open for a few hours a day, shutting by 4pm and that's after shutting for an hour for lunch.
The roads are poor, my small daughter keep falling over the pot holes in the dark. The waste water point is in the same place as the fresh water tap.

Only a very small playground with one piece of equipment, unless you go to the clubhouse. The park itself is kept clean but needs a lot of TLC.
