There are five pitches here exclusively for Caravan Club members, then another 20 or so for non members. It's very secure with gated access - you need a key to get in, and also to use the facilities.
Loved this site's location, right next to the canal ( although you can't see it from the pitches ) and with a lovely pub / restaurant next door. Downside of the location is the multi track railway which goes behind the site, it was so so noisy, mega fast express and huge goods trains running very regularly indeed, right through the day and into the night. As they passed we literally had to shout at each other to hear ourselves speaking. There is also some noise from the road.
Wonderful walks along the canal for miles in either direction, looking at the scenery and boats. You can walk right into Leighton Buzzard if you wish.
Facilities were first class, huge shower / toilet rooms, very clean, lots of hot water. There was wifi on the pitch although I didn't use it. Picnic benches dotted around the site. Nothing specific for kids, and of course there's the canal so bear that in mind if you have small ones running or riding around.
We had a lovely and very good value meal in the pub.
I'd definitely return despite my comments regarding the train noise, maybe we just got unlucky with the wind direction. I'm planning a visit early 2019 so will do another review then.

What a lovely site! The caravan club CL is next to the commercial site. On arrival the field looks to slope quite a lot but it turns out that each pitch is just about perfectly level.
The showers are as previously mentioned really good, individual washrooms with plenty of space & constant hot water. The showers are not the push button type and are very clean.
Wi-Fi is free and reaches up to the top of the field.
The site is beautifully kept, the grass is cut regularly and the areas which the ride on cannot reach are done by hand.
The pub next door is very handy, it was really busy when we arrived but that was on a very warm and dry Saturday, even so the service was swift and attentive.
The town of Leighton Buzzard is pleasant with an assortment of well known and independent shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants.
It's an area we haven't visited before but we will not hesitate to go back.

Lovely well kept site right on the canal and next door to a great canal side pub - we even got our own key to the gate to the pub! Great toilet and shower facilities.
Large open field site with plenty of space between relatively level mainly grass pitches with a few hardstanding. The warden was really helpful. Well maintained.
Some train noise from the railway, which stopped early evening and wasn't intrusive.

Lovely site alongside the Grand Union Canal. There are 5 Caravan Club pitches on grass with individual electric and water hook ups. There is also a large field for non members.
The shower block has 5 large individual cubicals with a loo, basin, and shower. There are barbecues and pic-nic tables dotted around the site and lots of space for kids to run around. There is also an enclosed area with a log fire and seating.
Alongside the site is a canalside pub that does good food, and the town of Leighton Buzzard is a 30 min walk along the tow path. Here you will find supermarkets and a decent High Street, Leighton Buzzard is also on the west coast main line and services into London are plentiful.
Whipsnade Zoo is close as are all the pretty villages and scenery around The Chiltons, and if you want night life, then Milton Keynes is nearby.
