This is a brilliant site. The peace of the countryside was balm to the soul. Karen and Rikki were so welcoming and informative, the site, though on a gentle slope had level areas to pitch on. Red Kites and Buzzards flew overhead. The morning chorus was magical.
Wild swimming in the river, fresh herbs, eggs and veg were available. The composting toilet had plenty of instructions. The covered washing up area was clean and had an electric kettle which was marvellous for a quick cuppa. Books, maps, a fridge freezer and games were available, as were fire pits and bags of wood (£3. 50) And spare camping equipment too!
Our airbed was flat one night but we were able to borrow one from their storage area for the remainder of our stay. Full recycling of waste is a great bonus.
Charging facilities for phones etc are provided. The shower in the owners home is available for campers use (eco showers are being planned) but swimming in the river was far nicer than a shower!
The bakers at the nearby town make The Most Incredible Doughnuts and eccles cakes and bread and chocolate eclairs and. You get the picture!
Brechfa forest is a lovely drive away and a great place to walk or cycle.
We had a really lazy week so didn't explore much, but plan to go back when we have more energy!
An excellent campsite, at an amazing price. We loved it.
Oh, and you need to belong to the Greener camping club; membership on arrival at site costs £10, and for each member signed up, they are given a tree to plant. A bargain!

A clean, tidy and very well maintained small site with excellent customer service.
In addition to the basic facilities there is indoor cycle storage, a fridge freezer and an electric kettle. Free range eggs and home grown veg are available.
There was no site shower at the time of my visit, but one is being planned. I was, generously, offered the use of the owners' shower - so no problem there.
The location is quiet with beautiful views. As a result of being slightly off the beaten track it can be a little awkward to find, so it might be best to phone ahead for directions. I believe some signposts are to be installed.
Good food and drink are available at the Tallard Arms which is about a mile away on the A485.
It is also less than a mile from Sustrans NCN Route 81, so very convenient for cyclists using that route.
I thoroughly enjoyed my short stay and will definitely return when next touring the area.

We stayed at The Old Post Office Eco camp site in July. The site is beautifully situated in a small valley with wonderful views of the surrounding fields and hills. The site is divided into two fields and we were sited in the orchard which is filled with a variety of young fruit trees. It was glorious to wake up to the sound of birdsong and the cheery welcome from the resident chickens. A lovely bonus was the sight of Red Kites gliding overhead which we saw frequently during our three night stay.
The welcome we received from Karen and Rikki was warm and very helpful as they were very willing to share their knowledge of the local area. There are plenty of pamphlets available also to help with planning our days. A lovely touch also was the availability of fresh vegetables grown in their poly tunnel and eggs from their four chickens. We got to grips with the compost toilet ( first time I've used one) and everything is well laid out for washing up etc. We had a wonderful stay and can highly recommend this site if you want to get away from it all and simply enjoy the sights and sounds of the countryside.

Great, simple, adult only campsite. It had only just opened. Very peaceful with beautiful views and the owners were very welcoming. They love their wildlife. Will be visiting again to meet the ex battery chickens they have prepared a beautiful new home for and hopefully the alpacas!
