1st class site as we come to expect from a caravan club site, one of the cleanest visited, with all your usual facilities plus a resident owl who does make her self heard.
A good central location for surrounding areas and only a mile away from Grafham water which is good for walks and biking round, and also not to far away from lots of local towns and villages.
Hard standing pitched are of a good size, with a booster aerial attached to the electric point, it's recommended that you bring one with you because it will be cheaper.
Would we return definitely top site very friendly and helpful staff who we have met before when stopping in the lakes so that was a nice surprise.

This is a great site. Well kept, spotlessly clean and excellent showers, toilets etc.
The outdoor swimming pool is fantastic for the kids in the summer. If you like bicycle riding as a family then this is the place for some great riding.
A small negative is that its a small site and not overly spacious but everything else makes up for the lack of space.
Fish and chip van turns up on Friday nights which is great and the wardens are very friendly and will go out of their way to help with anything.

Visited in holidays & there was several downpours, we'd taken a grass pitch & our groundsheet in the awning had flooded! First class facilities, we pitched right next to the kids play area which was then next to the shower block. Cleanliness was top notch. A few things were not available at the play area, but it was a good central area for kids to meet at. Swimming was superb & as it was heated we swam every day (bands allocated for an hour swim) even if showering! Lifeguards were very hot on discipline in the pool which was slightly aggravating. I'd had the impression there was cycling around the water but this isn't possible with kids on stabilisers & can only do on the country lanes near the site. Site not near any supermarkets so have to travel approx 15 in car to get to the nearest one. Only annoying point was a bridge at one side of the site that cars/caravans had to travel over to exit. It was very noisy as it was made of planks of wood but kids obviously loved the noise & frequently went over it as part of a cycle track loop. Did love the ducks coming from the pond in the morning wanting some 'breakfast'! Good ol Caravan Club for consistent facilities. This was the site that had previously had an accident with a child colliding with a tourer so wardens were very hot on children cycling with helmets in correct direction not fast, which was fair enough.

Location:
Well located within easy walking distance of the village of Grafham, this site is an excellent base for exploring the area. Nice lakeside walk and cycle routes from the site. The site is very regimented: staff very inflexible and often rude and condescending.
Facilities:
The toilet and shower facilities are superb, with large, modern shower cubicles, a motorhome service point, well stocked shop and outdoor pool.
Prices:
We paid £22 (July) per night for motorhome with two people and electricity. Good value for facilities and location.

We had a great time at this site, which is really suited to families.
The play area is quite small but does allow children to meet up and make friends. The roads on site are tarmac which provided a great surface for children to bike on and the site was generally very busy during half-term with kids basically running/biking around enjoying themselves.
The pool is very well maintained, we only had to wait about 10 mins one day as the number of users is limited by the lifeguard.
The whole site is very well maintained and the wardens were the best we have meet on a Caravan Club site, only because we needed their help a couple of times with a flat battery/ripped awning and you really got the impression nothing was too much trouble for them!
The hardstanding pitches are of a good size, the grass pitches appeared smaller and if you have a big van, awning and car then it may feel a little cramped compared to other CC club sites but overall I would say that they are adequate.
The American Eagle Owl was in residence and one day was perched in full view half way up a tree near the old fenced off moat, our children made 'owl noises' and each time it replied!
We biked round Grafham Water, which was quite an interesting ride as the route does not hug the side of the reservoir and is quite hilly in parts.
There are lots of footpaths/bridleways directly from the site, we took the Three Shires Way to Spaldwick (pub/shop) for another enjoyable day-out.
Grafham itself has a playing field with a fenced off hardcourt with football goals which we used everyday, approx a 5 min bike ride away. There is also a much bigger play park on the way.
Overall a nice place too stay for a short break and excellent value & another superb Caravan Club site.

Just returned from a bank holiday stay at this site. The wardens were lovely and the toilet block was immaculate, although the door closers need attention as they bang shut constantly.
We were lucky enough to get a hardstanding pitch, which we found very easy to pitch on. We heard the owl at night, but unfortunately did not see it.
The site is great but we are still not used to the system of not being able to book an actual pitch. The road to the site is little more than single track, so if you arrive before 12 pm you are likely to meet a caravan coming towards you!
We went to Huntingdon, which is a lovely town and we parked opposite Portholme meadow and walked into the town.
We spent a glorious day with our picnic at Grafham Water itself; we drove there as we had chairs, windbreak and picnic, but we had walked there very easily from the site previously.

When we visited, the grass pitches were not being used so the site was quieter than normal. We were welcomed very warmly by the wardens who proved to be helpful and informative. The pitches are tight but if you aren't using an awning it's no problem. The circular path round the reservoir goes right past the door - ideal for bikes, walkers and dogs! The highlight of our stay was the daily visit of an enormous American horned owl which lives in trees around the site and who was happy to pose for photos up a tree right in the middle of the site! Avoid pubs in Buckden - very pricey. There are, however loads of nice pubs in nearby villages.

A great site which although being in a rural location is still within easy reach of shops and amenities. Both Huntingdon and St Neots are close by.
The staff were superb at this site, very helpful and friendly. This is a site which is definitely child friendly which was a big bonus. The swimming pool was a big hit with the kids and is large enough to swim in as well as playing. Although a wrist band system is in operation this is done in the interest of fairness for everyone and if it is not too busy the staff are happy for you to have more than one session per day in the pool.
Toilet and shower facilities are absolutely immaculate and in part this is probably helped by the fact that you need a key to gain entry, so kids do not play in there.
T.V reception is not great here, but there are boosters on all of the pitches. I would however urge you to purchase a T.V extension cable prior to arrival. Although the shop sells them the cost is £15 as opposed to £6.98 for the same thing in B & Q.
Would definitely stay here again and probably will do in the near future.

We used this site for a 1 night stopover on route to France with our two oldest Grand daughter's as it has a open air swimming pool which they both enjoyed using, the site location is easy to find of the A14 / A1 and is in a lovely location just outside Graffam Village.
The site wardens were very helpful and friendly and nothing was to much trouble for them, site toilet block was modern spotlessly clean with good size shower cubicles and what you expect on Caravan Club site. We will certainly use this site again and would recommend to any club member

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Grafham water. However there were strong positives and negatives about this site.
The pool is lovely, warm and well managed. The site is pretty, the assistant wardens that checked us in were friendly and very helpful.
Grafham Water was a great 10 mile cycle round with a lovely stop at The Wheatsheaf Pub. The toilet blocks are warm and very clean.
There were a few things that we found a little frustrating.Asking if we could purchase gas at the shop, yes, but only between 9 and 5. Why?? Because the sign says so.This was at 6pm. I appreciate they may have cashed up ( not that the excuse was used but hey we could have settled up in the morning.?!)
The wardens lack of tolerance for the children cycling and the strange removal of the swings?
The pitches are small, centre to peg there is only just room for an awning.
This site has tremendous potential to be great but needs the wardens to be a little more friendly and forgiving.
