We visited this site for the second time (book in plenty of time as it is busy all year round). This time due to an earlier arrival we managed to choose a great south facing pitch (103) that was good for both TV and satellite reception. Mobile signal was a bit random though.
The site itself was very clean and tidy however he shower blocks are looking a bit tired now and certainly in the gents, we only had 3 showers and there was a queue so we reverted back to showering in the van.
The site itself is well lit and the wardens very friendly and efficient. I do think however that parents with children should be asked / told that they must look after their children as we saw a number of instances of kids on bikes creating havoc riding at speed and on more than one occasion of near misses with vehicles constantly moving. Also, the amount of gravel that is on the tarmac roads now is chipping up onto cars and caravans.
There are lovely woods around the site, ideal for dog walking (PLEASE CLEAR UP) and kids to play.
The wireless service was OK - frequent disconnects grrrr - and a little slow.
Thoroughly recommend this site however if you are sensitive to kids bike bells ringing constantly then consider when you are going to go as they really do drive you to distraction.
The site itself is very close to the C&CC site and you can see it from the woods. We had heard of a walk from the site to Sandringham with some vague instructions. So thought it would be useful to advise the route we found:
Near the children's play area there is large path that leads up the hill to a grassy area and the adjacent C&CC site. Follow the path down the side of the C&CC site and you will come to a gate into the entrance of the C&CC site. Go out onto the road and turn right and then at the junction, straight over (past the cottages). Follow the road and it will eventually bear to the right and this is the main road up to Sandringham. It probably takes a good 30 minutes each way but is an easy walk.

A functionally set out Caravan Club site set on the Royal estate, adjacent to the C&CC site, hidden by trees. Easy access from the main Kings Lynn to Hunstanton road. DONT ARRIVE BEFORE 12 and expect to be let in. 2 shower blocks, adequate in my view, always clean. This is a typical CC site so if you've been to one you know the drill. Shop has basics and papers can be ordered. Public transport stops right outside site, either to Hunstanton or Kings Lynn. A 30 minute walk brings you to Sandringham house. Be aware of some instances of dogs becoming ill from walking in the immediate area. Check website for further info. Plenty to do and see in immediate area. Main downsides include difficulty in getting on in popular periods, wifi not that good and ruddy Woodpigeons everywhere. Local chip van calls but I didn't rate it the 2 times we used it. Soggy batter.

Stoped for a week hear and its a good site the lots of good woodland walks & places to go there is a social club just a short walk through the wood drinks cheap. Sandringham around 25mins walk the royal station at Wolferton is well worth a look at and its free. Wifi ok on site and tv fine as you plug in shop on site a little dear. Toilets & showers only 3 of each in the gents at the top end of the site for 40 to 50 pitches very clean but could do with a make over for the price you are paying for the site also lots of dogs off leads on the site. Dog walk on site. Also lots of dog poo in the woodland walks note I have a dog and pick up after it all the time

Visited in june of 2014, we enjoyed our stay. Good access to the woods that surround the site and the closeness of the coast makes this a good area to visit for a relaxing holiday.
I have never found caravan club wardens to be anything but friendly and helpful. The facilities were the normal cc standard. The site did get busy at weekends but was quieter during the week.
We will be returning this year.
We normally visit devon or cornwall but the roads there during holiday season can be really busy and finding a car parking space can be a real pain.
Norfolk is the opposite, quiet roads, decent car parking.
A lot of people knock the caravan club, but not many organisation invest in site like the club do, also it surprises me how many private sites charge, £20 a night plus 3. 50 for an awning and extra for dogs etc. The club is definetley worth the yearly subscription

The site has all the good things people mention but as many others say it is also characterised by excessive rules and an over-officious approach to them. This left us understanding why the C&C club is advertised as a friendly option. The CC site should 1)Consider putting in helpful signs about how things like the electrics work instead of dictats on how to line up the van 2) Ensure the motorhome water refill tap brass attachment is freed up so that it can take both types of connector 3)Seek feedback as people leave instead of giving lectures.

First visit to a CC club site. We were interested to compare with the neighbouring C&CC site which was our favourite local jaunt but pitch prices meant we thought we'd try the CC. (£34. 40 at CC and ~£68 at C&CC for a family of 4, 2 nights with ehu).
The site was v well maintained, wardens friendly, facilities clean, it never felt crowded even though the site was full (except for the section shut over winter). I had expected the kids to miss the larger open space of the C&CC site but they were very happy at the better play area of the CC site and den building in the woods. We did our usual trip to Hunstanton for fish and chips on the seafront.

We chose Sandringham for a short weekend trip due to its location near to the North Norfolk coast.
Arriving on site, we were greeted by warm and friendly wardens. Being fairly late arriving, most of the pitches were taken but the wardens clearly identified which were free and in particular the ones which were level (we had forgotten to bring our levellers)
We had booked a hardstanding pitch and chose one backing onto the forest, which the kids loved as they could build dens and hide! The pitches are well spaced and the site is very peaceful.
The Toilet and Shower block was well maintained, very clean and warm. The only downside was that there were only 3 showers in the ladies and on leaving there was a queue of at least 4 ladies waiting. In addition, when all 3 showers were used, there was a significant drop in water pressure to the point where you practically have to lean against the wall to get wet! My suggestion is to get in there early! There were plenty of toilets and sinks though.
There was a good playground for the kids although it is in the shade and in March this made it very cold. It didn't matter to us as ours were perfectly content playing around the van and in the woods.
The site shop sells the essentials and seemed fairly reasonable. There was a fish and chip van on the Friday night but we didn't try it so can't comment on the quality.
We spent the day at Wells next the sea, which is about 40 minutes from the site. The beach is fabulous and has good parking and a beach cafe right next to it. It is about a mile from the town but there is a steam train for the (big and little) kids if you are feeling lazy - £1. 50 for adults, £1. 00 for kids one way. The town has a lovely array of seaside shops, fish and chip shops and a great harbour for crabbing.
And that was it! A very short weekend trip but we loved it and will definitely be booking again

This is one of our favourite sites and have visited many times.
The facilities are exactly as you would expect on a Caravan Club site - clean, working, plenty of them.
Site located in the woods with good access to walks. A pleasant 25minutes to Sandringham house. Close to Kings Lynn and Hunstanton - perhaps not selling points - but the Wash and coast are only 30mins drive away. The food in the local pubs there is why we go. The White Horse at Brancaster has excellent food.
The top of the site is quite steep but we prefer it, do check where the sun will be though as can be quite shaded and dark especially in winter. Lots of rabbits and rabbit holes on the site.
We first went here when our children were very young, they had a lovely time playing with the rabbits, now our Bassett hounds do the same.

After reading some of the reviews about the wardens being a bit zealous and constantly reminding you of the rules was at first put off visiting this site. But am glad I visited, lovely campsite met the wardens once when signing in then occasionally as they went around doing their jobs. They never bothered us at all and makes me wonder what the campers that complained about were doing,
Liked the fact that you had hardstanding and plenty of room to put up a large awning.
The showers were plentiful and clean and if you are over six foot lots of room height wise. Had no problems getting to campdie and leaving. Found a lovely pub in wells two for £10 meals at the
Captains table situated next too the parking lot near the quay.

Magnificent clean well kept site, reasonably sized pitches, toilets / showers spotless. Handy for Kings Lynn and generally North Norfolk, Fakenham is a pretty little town with lots of antique, bric a brac and charity shops, a cute little cinema. Visit the Gas Museum there too, it's the only one in England / Wales. Back on site, the only gripe that I had was that the WiFi was non operational and the O2 3G network was non existent. Not essential for everyone I know but still an issue! This site is great, have no quarms about booking in, the staff are lovely and happy to help.
