Nice site, very friendly and well-organised reception staff and well stocked shop. Not really walking distance of anywhere to eat (except the Rowantree restaurant, which we didn't try) but the food van (Alvie Forest Food) on site was really good - wish we'd known about it on the first night.
Toilet blocks very clean and showers the best on our trip - hot, good pressure and plenty of places to hang clothes etc. Ignore the review that says there's only one shower and two toilets for each of gents and ladies - there's a lot more than that, not sure where that person was looking!
Saw a red squirrel on our last morning.

Large site with individual pitches separated by trees, which gave a sense of privacy. We arrived at 8.00 and unfortunately the cafe had stopped serving food at 7.30 so we went to the chippy in Aviemore which was great.
Only there for one night but I felt for so many touring pitches there was too few showers and toilets, one shower and 2 toilets each for men and ladies. Also a bit of a trek from our pitch.
Had a bacon and mushroom sandwich from the cafe in the morning which was really tasty.

Great place, quiet and a bit rustic but really good pitches with isolation and private with the way they are placed and positioned roads a bit rough but been on worse.
Staff extremely friendly and helpful, The shower block we used were hot clean and very well looked after.
The walk to Aviemore all though raining was great good path and very scenic great for a bike ride if we had them with us 3. 5 miles. There were other direction we could have gone and would have been good also.
We also saw red squirrel on site. Which is a novelty and great to see.

The showers were hot and powerful, the best we have ever experienced,
The campsite was peaceful and well signposted.
The pitches were spacious and many were level.

Easy booking.
Very friendly staff at reception, very helpful. Clean facilities and a handy shop on site to pick up forgotten essentials.
Staff helped to sort out a few problems I hand with my camper, even loaning me a spare electric hook up cable.

Liked the location - not far from Aviemore and all it has to offer but still secluded enough for some tranquillity.
Pitches were ok, from what I could see most could accommodate the tourer and an awning with the towing vehicle across the front. This in my opinion was a bit of a negative as it makes it look cluttered.
Other sites we've stayed on with designated vehicle spaces I felt were quite good. There wasn't a TV signal either however we were aware of this in advance and its also in their t&c's.
That being said we managed a 4G signal so tethered from this at night time to keep kids entertained.

Site lovely if rustic.
Laundry facilities inadequate for number of pitches and could do with more in the tent fields.
Shop could be better stocked, very basic.

Car camping. There is plenty of space for larger size tents and motorhomes / caravans.
The pitch we stayed in was in a wooded area so nice and private but limited view of the mountains. The facilities are very good and each time we visited them over a five night stay they were very clean.
This is a large site so you may have to have bit of a walk to ablutions. However I prefer the non crowded feel. There is a food van on site which is open all days except Monday. Not sure this changes during different seasons.
It also caters for through hikers Spey way with a tent field. There is a bus to Aviemore but we had a car. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The small shops alcohol with local beers.
Best part is the pitches are not crammed in. We had no midges.

A nice site, its deceptively a large site, well kept and facilities adequate.
Nice having a food van on site if you don't want to cook.
Very good for visiting local places of interest and good for cycling.
