Stayed here for 4 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. The owner is very friendly and helpful, and the on-site shop stocks a small but useful range of essentials.
The campsite is in a fantastic location, surrounded by the Cowal hills. It is close to the ferry to the Isle Of Bute, where a visit to Mount Stuart is highly recommended.
There isn't much in the way of shops nearby (stock up in Dunoon).
The pub in Glendaruel (nearby) was OK, but the one in Colintraive (4 miles) was great.
The site itself is quiet, and is a really pleasant place to spend time in. The tent field is quite a distance from the toilet block, although tents can be pitched in various places that are closer. The toilet facilities are reasonable. Just don't trip over the blonde rabbits!

Spent a couple of nights here in early October. We arrived well after dark, and although we hadn't booked were made to feel very welcome by the owner and shown to our pitch. The site set in an old manor houses grounds has static caravans and about 30 hardstanding touring pitches all with hookups and a seperate area for tents. The toilets and showers although basic were clean and free. There was a large childrens play area and a play room but was general a quiet site dispite being almost full. The site grounds abound with wildlife particular "blonde" rabbits which the owner informed us were unique to the area (they had a film crew filming the rabbits while we were there).
Would certainly go back and spend more time in the area. My only reservation about the site was it is about 15 miles from Dunoon, the nearest town, over some fairly narrow, hilly roads, so caravans have to come the long way round.
