We stayed here for the August bank holiday 2016 in our tourer.
The site is as described in the cover description.
Clean, well maintained, good sized pitches, modern toilet / shower block that was always clean.
The site was fairly full on our visit with few empty pitches but was still a much quieter site than what we're used to.
It's ideally located for going into Bude. Less than a 10 minute walk by road down a not too strenuous incline and your right in the heart of Bude.
Staff seemed friendly and helpful.
Overall a very nice, laid back, well maintained campsite.

First time on this campsite, yet we have been visiting Bude since we married there in 2003, staying in b&b, hotels and other campsites. Located within 15 minutes easy walk of the town of Bude via footpath/road, and 25 -35 minutes walk via the coast path(much better with spectacular views of the sea!) the site represents all that one could wish for. It surely commands one of the most beautiful viewpoints of both Bude town (especially at night) and the sea, particularly from the higher located pitches. Although the site is on a gentle slope, all the pitches on both grass and hard standing electric are all reasonably level. With a mixture of sited static caravans and electric hook up pitches for tourers, motorhomes, tents and campervans, and a 'camping field' catering for those who do not require electricity, the site is laid out in a pleasing manner. One is struck by the absence of signs pointing this way and that, and regulatory notices, but all facilities like the exceptionally clean and functional toilet/shower block and washing up area's and even a wet suit wash are easily found.
Reception is conveniently open most of the day with a short break for lunch, and stocks plenty of food, particularly snacks, eggs, ice cream, and caravan type spares and a freezer block service. Staff are extremely helpful, patient and friendly, including the grounds men on the grass cutting equipment!
Staying on this campsite has made this years visit to Bude incredibly enjoyable and has been one of the best stays since we discovered this unique coastal resort, and fell in love with it. A big thank you to all the staff from proud temporary residents of N23 and W 'R' !

Stayed at the site for a week in July as part of our annual holiday. Difficult to add to other reviews. A top quality site. The facilities are modern, well maintained and spotlessly clean. A well stocked shop with pleasant and helpful staff. Super large, level pitches. Can vouch for the drainage of the site as it rained most of the week. (Hardly the site's fault).
15 minute walk into Bude along the road or a picturesque walk along the cliff top. Lots of other walks. Large children's play area and acres of open grassland along the headland.
Would go again, hopefully when it was sunny.

Lovely campsite with welcoming staff and great facilities
The pitches are perfectly kept and fenced, and the site is very well kept and managed, The showers were the best we experienced and as there are plenty of them, no queues even on a bank holiday!
It's a short walk down the hill into Bude (approx 20 mins to the beach) and the views over the town are great
Good play area for kids, and the shop is very well stocked.
Would definitely recommend
All the best for the rest of the season

What a gem of a site ! The site was clean, facilities were excellent and, above all, it was so quiet after dark. Some really lovely walks along the Bude Canal and so close to Bude which has many things to see and do that you can easily make several visits. Do yourself a favour and stay here at least once ! We guarantee that you will come back !

A beautiful campsite with excellent facilities and spotlessly clean. Stayed here for a couple of nights wish we could have stayed longer but we were travelling home on the Saturday.
Nice and quiet with lovely views. A 10/15 minute walk into Bude.
Well stocked shop and toilet facilities were second to none! We will definitely stay ere again and recommend it to family and friends.
Thank you

We ( 2 adults only) spent two nights at this site with hook up. There is wifi but it does depend on your location as to its performance. Staff where friendly and helpful. Facilities block was excellent. The allocated pitch was a good size. Short walk down a hill into Bude. We had a lovely breakfast in The Olive Tree. Access straight onto the coastal path, walked to Widemouth Bay, nice cafe there for a cream tea, highly recommended. Coastline is fantastic here with the rock in statue like slices coming out of the sand, look out for narrow paths down into secluded coves, great for exploring, but watch the tides! We would use this site again.

We only stayed for one night, we were going to stay for two but thought it was a bit expensive.
The toilets and showers were spotless and clean.
There were lots of families with children, it seemed very child friendly.
The site isn't too far from the beaches and the town, about 2 mins in the car.

Great site in a great location.
Superb access to the Coast paths and Bude, good for Dogs also.
Site was lovely, clean with space to breathe and our pitch was a cracker. The new toilet/shower block solves previous complaints as its perfect, new modern and clean with all that is required. Also in the block are washing sinks for plates etc plus a waste point, all done to a high standard.
Its about 15 mins to Bude either by the road, along the coast path or through the lanes to the lovely Canal, so three choices !
We plan to re visit so to us that says it all.

This was our first 'family' camping trip, and we really couldn't have picked a better site to start with.
The site is immaculately clean and well cared for, and the staff are brilliant, going out of their way to help with any questions, or issues you my have (even when they are down to you being a camping newbie!). It's a small site, and it was perfect for what we wanted, my boys (11 and 8) quickly made new friends and took full advantage of the play park, and the football goals, and because of it being a family site, it naturally quietened down in the evening without any rowdiness.
As newbie family campers, we didn't know what to expect with the toilet block and facilities, but we needn't have worried. Here the facilities are superb, and perfectly clean. The shower and toilet block was always clean, and the dish washing area was too. Perhaps there is an element of consciousness with it being a family site, but everyone cleaned up the sinks after themselves anyway after washing dishes, or even just wiping down the washbasins, after cleaning teeth.
The pitch sizes are great, ours was big enough to handle our large tent (4. 8m x 8. 10m) and still cope with a big car. There is a small fence separating the pitches too, which is good. The location is spot on. Ten to fifteen minutes to walk down the road into Bude, or a longer more scenic coastal path that takes you down to Summerleaze beach.
All in all a fantastic start for family camping for us. And all other sites we now visit have a very high standard to live up to.
