The site was ok
Our pitch was in a corner between a huge tent and another camper with less then a couple of metres between us.
Our friends were also booked onto the site a few days later and previously emailed the owners to see if we could get pitched nearby each other. They were told they would have to go in another field as it would mean moving 10 other people to do this. So we were extremely disappointed to see many empty pitches just near where we were pitched, which remained so all week.
The site also lacked a shop as the nearest store was in Perranporth. It would have been nice to be able to get just the basics.
The swimming pool we did not use as it was not heated and said to be very cold.
However, the washrooms were clean and our daughter, five, enjoyed going to the park.
It was also a quiet site.

Spent a pre-booked week here. Not the best but then again far from worst. Concur with a lot of other comments. Was clean, tidy and quiet, helped by lack of on site lighting, meaning that once dark movements ceased. Pool OK but cold. A bread & milk shop would have been appreciated. A few gripes (and as this was at upper end of local price range these aspects should have been better) namely: half of fluorescent tubes had been removed meaning that after dark dishwashing, showering etc were conducted in strange artificial twilight. All in all just about OK

We visited the site in August. As the website says, it was very quiet and peaceful. The pitch was big enough for our caravan. The grounds were kept well. The shower block could also have done with a mop of some sort to encourage users to clean the floor after use, been to other campsites where these were available and the majority of people tended to use them. The shower cubicles were big enough to accommodate a bench to put your clothes on and to help with getting dressed without getting our clothes wet but there were none.
On the plus side, the showers were free, a lot of campsites are now charging for showers. As there was no shop on site and the local shop nearby in Goonhavern has closed, the nearest shop was in perranporth, not too far away by car. It would have been useful to have some basic amenities on site eg: newspapers, milk etc.
Didn't see the owners much apart from when we arrived but they were always about on the site. They were helpful on arrival which was quite welcoming.
As we booked at the last minute, we were glad to get a pitch on a site in Cornwall in August.

We stayed here as a last resort because everywhere else was booked. We were glad we did, it was a great little camp site in a perfect location and very quiet. The site was well maintained and the staff friendly. There is a nice field for the dogs to run about in and a nice pub within walking distance.
We will stay there again, and next time not as a last resort. It was nice as you could here the sea and nothing else at night.
Highly recommended

This is a great site for families with small children or people who are looking for a quiet holiday (no noise after 8pm)
Owner takes you to your pitch and is very helpful
Arrived in rain and it pretty much rained for 2 weeks but the ground never appeared muddy and drained really well
Has a swimming pool that looked clean and well looked after (to cold for me to go in)
Showers were hot and clean even accounting for the weather and were big enough to accommodate adult and child
Childrens play area which according to my kids (7 and 5 years old ) were great
Does advertise as having games room - not really up to much more like a garage with table football (on a slope so balls just get stuck in one corner) pool table which has badly chipped balls and a table tennis table that looks like it has been there a while. All in all does need a lick of paint and fixing the broken window may be a start
An area has been set aside for dog walk
Position is great perranporth is 2 miles away with great family beach quite a few pubs, butchers etc
Newquay is 7 miles away
One pub walking distance (the new inn) has children's play area, did not visit as never stopped raining long enough to go and sit outside
Local shop 5 minutes walk
All in all very clean well run site in a really pleasant part of the country

We are new to camping and have just returned from a wonderful two week stay here.
The site is clean and quiet, and the managers are friendly and helpful.
The pitch size was great for us, although it did slope, but it didn't look as if the other pitches sloped as much - even so the slope did not deter us.
There is a small play area, children's playroom with pool table and table tennis & TV, although the room and equipment appeared to need a little revamp.
The toilet/shower block were well kept and the showers were warm, but not overly powerful - but still good enough to shower.
There was a disabled shower block for access by those who needed it, although this seemed to flood and needed mopping up afterwards which took longer than the actual shower. I did though find that just sitting my disabled son down in here and showering him down was easier than using the main shower block and doing it that way resulted in no flooding to mop up!
Overall a lovely, quiet family site in a great location for the beaches of cornwall and we will return again.

Lovely setting, spotless facilities and very professionally run, fulfilling their promises as laid out in their brochure and site rules, particularly with reference to enforcing limits on noise at night.
Also, the walk to the beach is quite genuinely only a few minutes! If you go, once you've exhausted yourself body-surfing (which is fun for all and very addictive!), chill out and watch the sun go down over the sea---Beautiful!(we're going again next year!)
