A grand little site just over the Dornoch Firth road bridge and in an ideal position for exploring this fantastic corner of Scotland. Everything you'd expect is here and it's all very well maintained and in an immaculate condition. And a pub-cum-restaurant is right next door to the main entrance. The shower block is a little dated in appearance but it's perfectly clean and has all the requisite facilities. You'll want 2x10p for a shower but it's an ample one. The laundrette is small and well equipped with everything you'll need; it even has a vacuum cleaner you can borrow free of charge. For some reason the shower block is set in the static caravan area but it's not far from the touring pitches or the tent area. The pitches are a mix of hard-standings and grass; all seem to be level. Some are electric; some without hook-up. They're all easy to access. The only down side is that the site is between the A836 (not very busy at all) and a single-line railway (occasional short trains). We weren't disturbed by either and we were parked within a few feet of the rail. Don't let these put you off. The staff are very friendly, helpful and here when you need them. An additional bonus is that this is allegedly the area of Scotland with the lowest annual rainfall - pity it all came during the 3 days we were here. But that won't stop us coming again. We recommend this camp site.

Have stayed here for the third time in a static and cannot say enough, owners are very helpful and Will always has a smile, it is friendly and very well run and clean and tidy and child friendly, with the new sand pit being a real hit for the would be junior miners! Just a nice place to stay. Pub next door serves excellent food as well as good beer. Ideal site for touring the highlands.

July 2004 well kept site with good clean toilets and showers, well located for touring the surounding area. The only problem we found was if you were placed on the right side of the site, we were not warned of the passing trains, which were only about ten feet away from the rail track and it was a shade rattly on the awning. Worth a visit, but not for long stays.

July 04 A good site overall. We only stayed 3 nights, as we were touring Scotland, but we enjoyed it. The only complaint was the road which ran one length of the camping area. Although this did not keep us awake at night, it got a bit noisy during the day.
Toliet facilities could do with an update, though they were kept clean.
Friendly wardens too.
