Arrived after dark on a wet evening and found the grass quite long. The electrics limited to 6a with a notice too small to read without a torch. Warden was quite friendly but just took took money and pointed the way. Toilet facilities were not very good - other reviews give details.
There is a good dog walking area adjacent as a plus point

I wish I had taken more notice of the info given in the previous reviews. I picked the site because it was exactly where we wanted to be for our visits. The site is small, well kept by the pleasant owner. She issues a set of site rules on arrival, and will show very little mercy if you break them. Prices for the two of us and one standard tent was £10.00 per night. We stopped 6 nights but there was no discount for a weekly booking. The pitch we had gave us a pleasant view over the fishing lake ( which is free to residents). The pub next door does good food at reasonable prices. Unfortunately we arrived at the same time as a flood of torrential rain. This made the ground very soggy underfoot. As previously said, there is one toilet and a couple of urinals for men and 2 WC's for the ladies. One token fed shower for the site. There is free hot water in the toilets, and in a sink for the washing up if you need it. The main downside is the traffic on the road outside. It starts running at about 05.30 and continues until after 23.30'ish. The road outside is a 40mph, but national speed limit either side. You hear the vehicles slow down for the speed limit, and then accelerate away after it. I think there are more vehicles with dodgy ( or 'souped up') exhausts in this area than anywhere I've stopped before. The site is ideal for a stop-over though. I would use again, but only for a stop off on the way to somewhere else.

As a family we used this site as a base for the air show. I agree with the other comments left by previous reviewers. I would add that this site is ideal for a stop over but any longer then a couple of nights and having to ensure that you keep to the campsite rules and regulations will have you wanting to seek comfort in the adjoining pub!

This site has very basic facilities, one shower for the whole site. To use it you go to the reverse of the building where the dishwash sink is located, place a token in a meter, then go round to the front of the building to the shower door. At least it's a large room with a wet floor. You get free fishing on a private lake included in the price which was £10 per night. The owner is very friendly and the pub is great. Bordered by a busy road that quietens down after 9.0ish. It was pretty much empty so the antiquated shower wasn't in great demand. There was loads of space but I'd definitely avoid any busy period. Value for money as a site would be 3/5, and it's only a three because of the pub and lake.

Arrived early but no problem with owner. Cost £22.50 a night for tent, 4 persons and dog. Small site behind pub of the same name. Very busy road next to site and did wake us up in the morning. Small shower block with single shower (50p),1 male toilet and 2 female toilets( No plugs for sinks and no mirrors, clothes hooks). There were 6amp electric points, but we did not use. If I am to be honest It is a little to expensive given the location and amenities.

Very basic site, with prices in line with other sites that have more facilities. One of the few sites I have been too recently where you have to pay for a shower. Quite noisy from nearby main road. Nice pub next door with own fishing lake. Owner very pleasant. Good overnight stop on route. On main bus route in and out of Yeovil.
