Stayed at this site with 4 other families. We all stayed in tents and were allocated a perfect area that accommodated us all comfortably. The pitch sizes were generous and the children had plenty if space to run around.
The management were extremely helpful and there is a great recreation room that we used on the second night - evening bingo in the room was a bonus! and we all thoroughly enjoyed our first official bingo games - we could take alcohol into the room which added to the enjoyment.
Handy little shop on site to buy milk etc
The site was quiet - ie no road noise etc. The site had a great atmosphere and we will no doubt visit again.

I've just returned from Crowborough C&CC Site and I'm not sure if I like it or not. I arrived on Saturday lunch time to be told that a local electricity sub station had exploded the night before and that they weren't sure when power would be restored. Fair enough but a courtesy call that morning would've been nice to give me the option of going somewhere else.
Understandably the Wardens were a bit stressed but we didn't really receive the welcome that we've come to expect from the club.
We were shown to our pitch and given quite a comprehensive run down of the facilities. There are 5 toilet cubicles and 4 showers across two blocks for the gents and I believe the ladies was the same. This I feel will not be enough to service the site when it is full.
The old shower block is old, incredibly dated and smell of damp. The new shower block has got a new feel about it but feels equally as dated and tired as the old block.
While I don't expect pristine marble surrounding the CDP, it would be nice to have a little bit of privacy while seeing to my business.
The on site shop doesn't stock bread which caught us out. The site is close to a leisure centre in which you can swim but we found that boy racers gather in the car park.
There is a sign that says Crowborough council camping and caravan site on the entrance to the site and it very much feels like neither the Council nor the C&CC want to spend money on this site, and it shows.
If you are approaching this site via Tunbridge Wells, allow a minimum of 20 minutes to get through it. The traffic is horrendous.
I will not be returning.

Wanted a few days away somewhere close to home as had just replaced our car and was not sure how the new one would two - delighted to report that both the campsite and the new car were better than expected!
The staff on site were exceptionally friendly! We arrived and were allocated our pitch, but it became apparent that our twin axle beasty was going to be too long to go on the original pitch so we were moved instantly with no hassle whatsoever.
They put on Bingo in the evening of Halloween, and all the kids dressed up, followed by a game of Play your Cards Right! Welcome drinks provided and then 'Bring your own' meaning a really fun cheap night!
Visited surrounding area - Hastings, rode the Cuckoo trail etc - weather a bit disappointing but that's what you get when you go camping in October in England!
All round, a gem of a campsite, and we will be returning in 2013.
Oh, and in case you were wondering, the new car is a Kia Sedona TS(2007), and it has turned out to be the best touring car we have owned, even better than the Discovery we had before!

Second visit to this site and it gets better.
Only stayed for a couple of nights.
Warm welcome on arrival and shown to a spacious pitch.
The site appeas to be not well endowed with facilities, even allowing for 2 blocks but toilets & showers spotless and even though the site was pretty near full we never had to queue for a shower
A bus stop outside the gate gives easy access to Tunbridge Wells in one direction and Uckfield/Lewes/Brighton the other.
Just as well because if you don't want to drive, Crowborugh virtually shuts for food after 2. 30 pm, unless you want a take away or a curry!
We can recommend Tunbridge Wells for a day out, especially having chosen to go on the day of the Farmers' Market and the Pantiles is well worth a visit if you like browsing antique shops coupled with a good choice of eateries.

Lovely clean, quiet site. Had a good choice of pitches although the hardstanding was pretty solid to insert awning pegs. Friendly staff kept the facilities spotless.
The site was easy to find which was handy as we'd mislaid the details!
Ashdown Forest is a lovely area with excellent strolls. Spent a day on the Bluebell line starting from Horsted Keynes so that we had three rides in the day!
Walked along to Sheffield Park across the fields from the station. Great site, Thanks!

We are a seasonal pitch down at crowbrough. We use this site regularly, the managers are very good and welcoming and also very helpful. The facilities are really clean throughout the site. The site is very good for children as there is a leisure centre next to the site, with a range of activity's such as ; swimming. Plus there is a lovely playground round the back of the leisure centre, with great views and cafe, this is also used for brilliant dog walks. The town has everything you need.
Also we have enjoyed bingo evenings. Table tennis facilities are available in the recreation room on site.
Looking forward to another great season.

Lovely site with very friendly and helpful wardens. We were pitched on a very slight slope which did not affect us too much. The fact we were seemingly pitched on a nest of spiders was more a problem as we constantly had hundreds of tiny little arachnids all over our tent! Neighbours had no problems so not a problem on the site in general, we just happened to be the unlucky ones.
Facilities were always clean, my only complaint would have been for a cubicle with sink as there was nowhere private to dress /undress. I say would have been though because just before leaving and using the other toilet block (since the one nearest was being cleaned) we did discover that one had two such cubicles. Perhaps one in the other block would be an idea too.
Bingo was arranged on a couple of the nights which was good fun and a chance to mingle with other campers. Also meant somewhere warm and dry to go!
The Leisure Centre and playground next door was great, and plenty to do in the area. A playground on site would be better, especially for little ones. Would definitely return as there was lots more to do and got a thumbs up from the kids.

We are local and chose this site to trial our new caravan. I think it helped that we were blessed with the weather, but we had a lovely two-night stay.
Facilities clean and well-stocked, site well maintained and really helpful and friendly wardens - especially helpful with reversing into pitch. Lots of hardstandings with motorhomes here and quite quiet due to it being outside the school holidays.
We were not bothered by air or road noise. Grass pitches for tents are mostly sloping. Nearby are several supermarkets within walking distance and the leisure centre had a floats session in the pool which the children loved.
The play area at the recreation ground was good too. Lots of people seemed to participate in the Saturday night bingo which had been organised by the site staff.
The information area was also incredibly up to date with swimming times etc. All in all an excellent stay.

Super warm welcome, shown to our pitch and assistance offered to get onto the pitch, which was a great size, with nice gravel and grass area.
Well spaced between units, with lots of area for the children to run around.
2 toilet blocks, good hot showers and spotless.
Small shop, great indoor kitchen and small recreation room with board games.
Local leisure centre within a minutes walk, great children's play park and miniature trains. Crowborough about 10 mins walk through the park, and has 2 supermarkets and a handful of local shops.
Lovely site in a great location with lots of walks.

Stayed here twice now 3 nights mid august 6 nights early september. Its a very clean well kept site, both toilet/shower blocks are warm and clean, as are the washing up facilities.
We found it to be a very quite site, although you can hear the aircraft late at night while laying in your tent, but we didn't find this to be a problem especially after a day in the fresh air.
The staff are always helpful and friendly, and the small town is only a ten minute walk away. I would recommend this site as a relaxing break for adults on their own, or for adults and young children, I can imagine older kids getting a little bored.
There is a nice park next to the site with slides and swings etc, and there are great views of the surrounding countryside.
Another plus is 3 supermarkets close by easily walk able in 10/15 minutes or couple of minutes in the car
