Took a gamble and booked 3 nights here so my missus could have a birthday meal at the lobster pot restaurant. The campsite is pretty basic. It's a field. It has about 6 or 8 ehu points of which you are metered at 20p per kwh. It doesn't have washing facilities for dishes. There is no on site entertainment for kids. The toilet block is basic, shared block of two toilets with sinks and two showers. There is a chemical toilet disposal point. The views are great. The beach is a bit rocky. I seriously hope I haven't put anyone off. Lol, we loved it and will be going back again and again. It's a proper nice small site and the owners are really friendly. And considering bigger campsites with the same facilities are charging over double the day rate. Little gems like this need keeping as such. Little gems

We had a great holiday at Church Bay, This is an excellent location at which to chill out.
On holiday in a caravan, with a teenage son and a visiting student daughter, the site is set in a
Superb location, a 4 min walk from the beach,
And located within 200m of the Anglesey coastal path
Brilliant views from a well maintained field.
Great pitch for our caravan,
Closest village shop for basics 3 miles
Closest restaurant 50 mtrs ( Lobster Pot )
Closest cafe 100m Wavecrest (great for a Coffee
And snacks, very popular)
A great holiday, at a friendly and quiet location.
Excellent location for exploring North Anglesey.
Will definitely visit here again, can't think of any negative comments, as I finished my holiday completely relaxed.

Stayed here for 2 nights during march, the area it's set in is beautiful, beware in bad weather however as your right next to the Irish sea. ! and make sure your awning has storm straps on if the wind is high. !
Also no TV signal here, only satellite so if you don't have a satellite dish with your caravan be prepared to play cards or games. Or take a DVD player.
The views on a clear day are stunning, and there are walks a plenty, great beach also.
There is a wonderful restraunt in nearby llanfachtreath, but can't remember the name highly recommend, however booking is advisable.
Showers and toilets are very basic so don't expect luxury, they were clean however and kept reasonable.
The site owners are friendly and helpful and welcoming.
Holyhead is around 20 minutes drive away at which you will find a 24hr tesco and a retail park Argos etc etc.
The price of £12 a night all in was more than reasonable and the site is set in a quiet setting. If your looking for a commercial site this place is not for you.
In all a lovely location, with stunning views, at a very reasonable tariff.

This site is in a great location - just a pebble's throw from the lovely Church Bay - we had spotted it on a previous visit to the area and had to do quite a bit of detective work on the internet to make sure we had booked at the right site this year.
Vic and Linda are resident site managers and could not have been more helpful - especially as our car broke down the moment we arrived on site. Vic ended up taking phone calls for me as I had no mobile signal as well as ferrying me between garages - well above the call of duty. What a hero.
The site itself is quite simple - just what we wanted - just two loos and two showers but there never seemed to be a queue and they were kept very clean. The field is nice and flat and the site seems to attract people who want a quiet holiday. Great cafe, good restaurant and excellent pub all within walking distance.

A lovely little site in a great location right on the coast path and near a lovely quiet little beach.
The facilities are basic but for £7 a night for two of us and a dog its absolutely brilliant.
Vic the owner showed us to our pitch and showed us everything we needed to know.
The showers and toilets were clean and hot with no timers or coins needed. You do need your own toilet paper though.
There is a lovely cafe a minutes walk away as well as the Lobster Pot restaurant, The Church Bay Inn is 5 minutes walk up the hill, however the nearest shop is a few miles drive away.
Overall a great little site if you want peace and quiet, but no washing up sink, so make sure you bring a bowl.
Will definitely stay here again

What a great place, quiet but not too quiet. We were met on arrival and given our pitch. Views of Church Bay, a friendly cafe and a pub at the top of the hill which sells the best real ale that I have tasted for a long time.
We were there for five days and took in many fantastic walks both coastal and inland.
The owners are friendly and helpful but in general leave you to get on with your holiday unless you request their help.
The showers and toilets were always clean although we did have to supply our own loo paper. Overall a great place and would return.

Another wonderful stay over the New Year period. Arrived to a dry field and again got what I think is the best pitch out of a choice of five, its in the corner and you have a clear view down to the sea.
Walked up the hill to the friendly local pub and watched the sun go down over the bay out of the pubs large bay windows.
Not great fishing this time as it was very windy but a man in the next van said he caught a few small codling off the beach.
As you walk down to the beach we took the right coastal path this time and walked as far as the old world war 2 look out post which is only a couple of miles and you hug the the coast all the way.
Shopped as local as we could and only went into Holyhead for a supermarket shop and fishing bait! On the way back had a very nice carvery at the Valley Pub on the crossroad junction as you come off the A55.
Don't be put off with the lanes, loads of room and everyone you meet, if you meet anybody at all coming the other way, they are used to pulling over and I would rate this site and location as suitable for a first time tower and the best bit is its open all year.
It's a very relaxed site, no marked out pitches or rules. I can recall only one notice sign and that's just above the fresh water tap, as the drain is only a soakaway drain.
Lovely part of the world with very nice people and the beach area is to die for.

If your looking for an action packed site with club house and evening entertainment this ISNT the place for you.
If like myself you love peace and quiet, apart for the birds and the surf on the beach, you will love Ty-Newydd. 200mtrs from a pristine blue flag beach, with just a small cafe and one restaurant locally.
There is a pub. 5 ml away, but if you need to pop out for a loaf of bread or a pint of milk its a 5 ml round trip.
My wife and I love this place, the owners Vic and Linda are so laid back you wouldn't believe them, the site is level and well mown, all the facilities are clean and all work, the showers are hot with no timers.
The views are to die for, with great views over the coastal hills and magnificent views of the sea.
We went for a week in June, we booked again for another week in September, I'm sure we will continue to visit for many years to come.

This is a very peaceful, quiet site. It is well kept and the owners are friendly. It is very near to a lovely little beach in Church Bay.
The views are fantastic and if you like walking and exploring the beach it is a great place to visit.
However, there really isn't anything in Church Bay apart from a small cafe/shop and there is no nightlife and not much for kids to do.
My husband and I, will return as it is just the sort of place we like. I wouldn't go there with my two teenagers as it would be too quiet and boring for them.
