Stayed here over august bank holiday, nice quiet site handy for Skegness etc, not really suited to larger tents the facilities leave a lot to be desired. Two toilets and two showers just isn't enough even for a small site like this. The water around the camp (river and fishing pond) was ok but keep your eye on small children.
Trainline right next to camp but only passed during daytime, on the plus side owners very friendly and the breakfast at the b&b a nice treat yum yum! ok for a weekend but lack of toilets a pain.

Stayed four nights at this lovely, small site. Fishing good and site excellent for dogs as it is situated beside the riverbank giving plenty of miles of dog walking. We had the site practically to ourselves which was good but could imagine it would feel crowded if full as the pitches were very close together. Two toilets and showers were always clean, showers nice and hot but not powerful so easier to use jug and tap for hair washing ! Skegness just down the road. All in all a nice get away from it all site that we will certainly visit again.

Not a bad site this! We stayed for an impromptu one night break over Easter. The site was pretty quiet, probably about half a dozen tents and a dozen campers. The facilities were limited, just two showers, which was fine for Easter, but I imagine can get a bit crowded over summer. Washing up facilities were fine and clean. The very friendly owners made the site feel very relaxed and they even offered a free bottle of Champagne to anyone who caught 'Goldie' the 4lb Goldfish in their pond over the Easter weekend. The site was pretty easy to find, although as previously said, you have to look carefully for the sign when you come out of Wainfleet. You're just 5 mins from Morrisons and ten minutes from the beach at Skegness. Although the site is right next to the train line, they only go past during the day (and aren't too loud) and should you want to escape your car, it looked easy enough to get to Skeggy that way. In summary, nice site for a short break, but because of the limited facilities, not sure I'd want to spend a week there.

We were very impressed by this small campsite. The owners provide a flat orchard area for tents. We were just out of season and we had it all to ourselves - bliss. We were also the sole occupants of the shower block, which consists of two discrete shower units with toilet and wash hand basins. Extremely clean, with only the daddy long legs for company!
We took six children with us (not all our own!) and the owners welcomed us warmly and even suggested an area for football and other games. There are also a couple of canoes that are made available for use on the river which passes at the edge of the site.
Can't wait to go back.

We had a one night stay here whilst visiting Skegness. It was the perfect location away from the noise and hustle and bustle of Skegness. It is a very small site compared to others we have visited, our tent was too large to go in the orchard so we pitched on the grass in front of the farmhouse, it was well kept and very flat and only a stones throw away from the toilets/showers. The toilet/shower room was not that clean, or not to my standard anyway! however despite this we would definatly return again.

July 2005 We visited this site for two nights in a tent and it was lovely. You need to look out for the sign or you'll miss it and the road to the site itself is a bit windy with slightly restricted views on the first corner, but apart from that there is nothing bad to say! It's only about 10 minutes in the car to Skegness centre, yet still far enough away from the A52 to give you the peace and quiet of the countryside. The toilet blocks were lovely and clean and unlike other campsites there are only two blocks, both large bathrooms with shower, toilet and sink. The washing up faciliteis are also very clean. We did not fish but the fishing lake looked lovely and provided a nice backdrop for our visit. The orchard where the tents are pitched is flat and level and chairs and tables are provided. Overall this site was brilliant and we would definitely visit again.
