The family camped here for 5 days during the main summer school hols 2007. The camping site consists of 2 separate fields. The smaller top field is nearer the facilities, takes about 8 to 10 tents, and over the majority of its length has a very definite slope. The non-EHU tents pitch on the left as you go down the hill; touring caravans and EHU tents-on the right. The photo in Coed Cottages' own website looks out of date to me; the ponies' paddock area on the RHS as pictured has been significantly reduced in size (to accommodate the RHS tents / tourers.
The second field is accessed through a gateway at the bottom of the first field, is much flatter, notionally square shaped and I'd estimate about 100 yds (to it's centre) from the facilities. We saw up to 16 tents pitched around the perimeter over the weekend, and it looked busy at that. But based on what we experienced happening in the top field, tents will be squashed very close together if necessary, and on that basis it was maybe only half full. I suspect in quieter times this one might be the best option for groups - you might be lucky and get the field to yourselves. The centre of the field makes a great place (and was well-used) for family & group games.
Both fields are very close (50 to 100m?) to a set of major power lines which lead to the nearby (but out of sight) power station; the lines could be heard fizzing throughout our stay.
The facilities now include: 4 timed-push-button showers with thermostatically controlled but non-adjustable temperatures (too hot for our youngest), washing machine and separate dryer, microwave, kettle, toaster, ironing board and large fridge (no freezer compartment). The single(!) washing-up sink had no plumbed hot water, requiring use of the supplied kettle, and was obviously very busy; we ended up doing the dishes in the tent.
There are also now 4 separate unisex toilets, with hand-sinks but with cold water only. No cleanliness problems were noted at any point during our stay.
I got the impression that the licensed bar has fast become the key attraction for many of the regular campers.
Overall we had an excellent time, but this wasn't quite the small and quiet site that we were hoping for. It also looks like expansion is still underway. The owners were hugely friendly and helpful, and the lack of a fixed 'must leave-by' time (I think for non-EHU pitches only?) was very welcome.

My wife and I spent two weeks here in July 2006 and again for four days in August. The site is neat and tidy, in a rural area and very quiet. The owners are wonderful and really go out of their way to help you get the most out of your stay with them, nothing is too much trouble. Facilities are basic but clean and adequate, no complaints at all. We are returning this July for at least three weeks, maybe more as we now feel like friends, this is our base on Anglesey

Stayed her over Easter and it was lovely. The site is very basic but the facilities (one loo and one shower) are clean and functional and the owners are very helpful. Although in land slightly, the site is well placed for exploring the North coast of Anglesey and the coastal walking is excellent Nice to go somewhere that is not packed out at Bank holiday. A rare find indeed and will definitely visit again

Had three nights there and will definitely be going again. The setting is lovely, a wooded area at the back, horse paddock (you cannot go in here but the horses are lovely to watch), toilet, shower, wash room and a games room for the children (all basic but very clean). The owner is a lovely lady who couldn't be more pleasant to her visitors if she tried! Excellent value for money.
