We visited this site for a long weekend in September 2012. The pitch we had was hardstanding and there was plenty of room for our caravan, porch awning and car. The site itself was quiet at the time and we encountered no noise at night-time so slept soundly. There are a lot of static caravans here and we had a lovely walk round the site admiring them all! Some of them have a lovely outlook to the golf course.

We used the bar and restaurant on two occasions and found the food to be of good quality with large portions. There is a playpark for children to use and a shop with basic provisions which we found handy. The owners are very helpful and friendly. We are looking forward to returning.

On arrival received no site instructions or map but the shop was well stocked. At £25 per night for 2persons and pay for internet the most expensive site we were at in Scotland (though it was super pitches). Toilets clean but old and in need of upgrade. Staff nice, and very helpful. A lot of cash has been invested in the site but not in the tourers toilet area. Sorry but will not use this site again as the golfers were crunching through the chipped roads at all times.

We visited this site for a weekend and were very happy with it.

The touring area is well thought out and when we booked in we were told to choose our own pitch.

There is a well stocked shop, a small bar which I believe has 'acts' on some weekends, and a small restaurant. We had a drink at the bar, which was friendly enough - although we didn't try the food.

The toilets and showers were clean, and there was plenty of hot water.

The site is just off the A68 a few miles passed Jedburgh, and had a lovely woodland dog walk which we enjoyed. The Chinese takeaway in Jedburgh delivered a very decent meal!

Would definitely return.

A very nice touring site - imaginatively designed. We stayed for 3 nights. During our stay we would estimate that 2/3 of pitches were occupied by vans booked in for the season with most not being used when we were there, so the site was very quiet during our visit.

Reception/shop is very well stocked with the basic items one would require. When we arrived and booked in we were not given a site info brochure. Is there one? Some info on any site rules and layout would have been useful.

As you enter Lilliarsedge from the A68, tourers have to park on the left before booking in, so look out for the sign. We would advise that after booking in you leave your car/van where it is and walk the site to check out available pitches.

Some pitches are wider and longer than others plus some will be 'challenging' to reverse the van into. All pitches are fully serviced new stone hardstandings. You will need appropriate pegs if you intend to put up an awning.

The road around the touring area is stones too, not tarmac. We did not like this as it was awkward to walk on. This could prove a problem for pushchairs, bikes and wheelchairs too.

The toilet block, although clean, would be greatly improved by refurbishing. The taps are too small for the sinks. There was no mop to clean out showers after use. The hairdrier in the female block did not work!

The adjacent golf course is popular. Be warned - some golfers park their cars in unoccupied pitches which could affect your choice of pitch availability.

We felt that security of the site was very poor. A security barrier should be installed. The site is very well placed to be a base from which to tour. We hope improving security and refurbishing the toilet block are on the owners agenda.

We have just returned from a lovely weekend at Lilliardsedge using our touring caravan. Having visited last year with our tent we have noticed a huge difference for the better.

The building work mentioned previously is now complete and the pitches for touring caravans are fantastic. They are very spacious with plenty of room between pitches, each has it's own water and electric point. A really enjoyable weekend and will definitely return.

Since the previous post about lilliardsedge being like a building site, I am happy to report that the site is finished & is wonderful. We liked the site last year as it was, but quite honestly after staying in the new part we much prefer it.

Every pitch is hardstanding & fully serviced. You will need rock pegs if you are putting up your awning.

They have done a great job, but hope the toilet block is nest on their agenda to upgrade. It is very clean but is dated & old.

Never used the bar or shop this time, so unable to comment.

We will be back again, that's for sure

We've just returned from an Easter break at Lilliardsedge. We were very disappointed to find that our escape from it all caravan site is right now a very big building site! They are in the process of landscaping the touring area and creating a lot of hardstanding pitches but are about 6 weeks behind. I thought it was very poor that the owners gave us no indication whatsoever before arriving that they had ongoing work.

Our caravan was overlooking mud, cables and diggers. Our pitch was surrounded with wood with long nails sticking out. All of this was not ideal with two young children and meant we had to curtail their freedom. When this was questioned the owner was unconcerned.

All that aside when the site is finished it will be lovely. The toilet block was clean and tidy and the family bathroom was great. We never once had to queue for the bathroom either which was a bonus.

The clubhouse is basic but does the job if you can't be bothered to venture further afield. The food was average but fine.

The park area is a nice addition - the only downside being that it is out of sight from the tourer pitches - given my children couldn't play outside the caravan this meant me standing watch and freezing while they played in the park.

All in all the location and facilities of the park are good - I would just question the courtesy and consideration of the owners to not inform visitors of ongoing building work.

We only stayed for two night but found it was great and could have stayed longer we have two kids and they both loved the playpark
there was entertainment on at the pub on site on the sat night
they have a great golf course not too pricey and if your lazy like me you can hire the golf buggy for £10 on top of the price for golf.
The showers are ok they were clean and that's what counts
the meals up at the pub were alright nothing to write home about edible and not too pricey
the town of jedbrugh has a few good shops, they have a great hardwear shop, the coop was not up to scratch seen better corner shops
over all we would go back there again.
Ps it only cost £20 anight for the four of us and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Good Price. Toilet and showers were ok. We had grass pitch, very level and spacious. Playground and sand pit for children. Excellent 9 hole golf course, can hire clubs for £5.00, also very small putting green. Restaurant and bar on site, very reasonable prices. Small shop on site. 5 miles to Jedburgh.

We recently visited this site, (me, my husband, and 2 kids, age 9 and 2).

Its a lovely clean site, lots of tree's. Large tourer field, toilet blocks are great with showers and baths at no extra charge.

There's a 9 hole golf course with 18 tees (my husband is into golf, he said the greens are outstanding).

We also visited the club which we were told has just had a total revamp! Its very cosy and friendly. All the staff are very friendly. The family that run the site are very nice.

The children's play park is great and is near the tourer field.

Good on site shop. Also there's a great Co-op in nearby Jedburgh.

Great site. Will visit again!
