Spent three days on site while working in the area. As others have said the site is mainly allocated to caravan storage or seasonal pitches though they have clearly spent a lot of money developing new fields for both touring pitches and tents. We felt it was a touch expensive, especially £4 per night for electric but they are trying to make improvements so OK. Pet hate of mine though, questioning the price per night and then paying for showers as well; why do they put the pay meters outside and away from the shower meaning you have to walk around with a towel around you?
The games room was OK and well used, but we couldn't understand the newer toilet block. A new block was obviously needed due to the older ones condition but.
The old ones had showers at 50p and were generally run down but just about adequate. The new one had no showers and could only be used by one person at a time. This resulted in frequent queues on the path outside. You were unable to use the toilet if someone else was having a wash.
Overall a reasonable site with really helpful warden but really poorly designed toilet block.

We arrived on Saturday evening to find a very attractive site with a brand new toilet block with disability access, there was a games room although our children were too young really and enjoyed themselves as much just riding there bikes which was very safe around the internal roads. We did have a disagreement with a fellow camper but was quickly sorted out by the owner who was very nice and her warden who was equally nice and very helpful. The cafe at the airport opposite does brilliant food so its worth a visit.
We would re-visit if we are in that area for sure as it's a good base for Stratford as it's only 5 miles off the M40.

Lovely site, went for Easter. Warden was very helpful and even though site was full we had plenty of room and it was quiet.
Added bonus is airport nearby, you can watch the planes taking off and enjoy a lovely meal at the cafe
Toilet block needs modernising but we were told that planning permission was in for modern block by games room
Saturday market at airport (told biggest in country and believed it, its massive)

A little hard to locate at first but when got there found it very friendly. Toilet and shower block was very clean and ideal for a few nites. Only 15mins from stratford and 20mins from warwick. Games room is great for both adults and kids but could do with a bar inside or 1 a little closer so you don't have to drive nearest pub 3 miles . Oh and didnt hear one plane in the day days there it was nice and peaceful.

This has been our only bad camping experience. We phoned before arriving to ask if we could stay for 2 nights. We were told yes no problem. Then I said we had a tent, and the lady said 'Oh we're booked up fully, but can squeeze you in for 1 night only'. Upon arrival, the site had absolutely loads of room, and we were told we could have 2 nights after all. Wish we'd known that, as we'd altered our arrangements. The toilets were clean, but the showers a nightmare. You had to put 50p in the slot outside the shower cubicle, but the water would start straight away, soaking you through if you had a towel wrapped round you, similarly if the door was open it would flood the toilets until you managed to jump inside the cubicle and shut the door. The site was very quiet, the aeroplanes opposite were no problem at all, and don't fly late at night anyway. Be prepared to pay a surcharge for each child over 5 yrs, in addition to the normal site fee and hook-up charge! The first 2 hook-ups we tried didnt work, finally got one to work the 3rd time. Woke up in the morning to find some moron had unhooked our hook-up, so the electric had gone off (coolbox, heater, etc). A lovely couple in one of the caravans suggested it was probably the tent warden, who sometimes unhook the supply if they 'think' you're not in the tent (!). We won't be going back here.

We stayed at this campsite for a fantastic three night stay in late July. We found the campsite excellent. Yes, the facilities are basic however, it was not a problem, even though the tent field was full. The toilets were clean, and the shower was fine. Yes, you have to pay but at only £10 a night the site is excellent value. There is a warden on site and the planes that come from the air field are not a problem, as you can't really hear them. Wellesbourne is a nice small village, a very nice pub, the red lion is there, there is also a chip shop and chinese take away. Its about a 15 minute drive to Stratford which is a great town, what with all the shops, theatres, and the river as well which was great fun to row on. Overall a really good site which I am sure we will return to!

We stayed here as part of the UKCampsite.co.uk Members meet and were allocated the whole field at the back of the site. The site is located next to the airfield, and is poorly signposted , so from the A429, follow the signs to the airfield and the site is on the other side of the road. Upon arrival, we were met by the site warden, who was very helpful and guided us to the area we were in. The site is very level and drainage seemed good, although it did not rain that hard when we were here. Due to the flatness of the whole area, when the wind blows, it does funnel through the site. The 1st field in the site appears to be full of permanent caravans and they are wedged in so close, you would really struggle to get your awning and car on the pitch , so I would avoid these pitches if you are offered the 1st field. The second and third fields are all fairly new, with new hard standings and new hookups installed. There are suitable amounts of bins and fresh water points, however the Elsan and waste water disposal points are raised from the ground about 2 feet, and would make it impossible for some people to lift their toilets or waste water carriers that high! The toilets and showers are simply a basic portacabin, nothing special at all, but they do the job, in the mens were two toilets, two showers and three sinks. The showers were 50pence for 5 mins and the water could not make its mind up as to whether it was hot or cold. As I say , they did the job, but they could really do with a new block being added. They are also down by the entrance making it a long old walk from the back two fields. There is a laundry room on site and a hut displaying local information on the area. The airfield is mainly for lightweight aircraft and small helcopters and although they buzz around all day long, you hardly notice them after a while and they stop at about 7pm each evening anyway. You can even try flying in a helicopter or lightweight plane if you are brave enough! There is a small One Stop Convienience Store in the Wellesbourne village and a few pubs too, however if you wish to do a larger shop then there is Tescos in Stratford about 7 miles away. Stratford has loads to do, including river boat trips, the theatre, William Shakespears history, shopping, eating, drinking etc. Added to the fact that Straftord is a very beautiful town anyway. Warwick is about 15 miles away with the magnificent Warwick Castle, not cheap but a very good day out, with Warwick itself stooped in history too. There is a massive open air market held on the airfield on Saturdays, and this is a short drive from the site, there is lots of bargains to had there, but be warned it did get extremely busy when we went. Overall not a bad site, that I may come back to, but with so many others in the area I feel I would have to try them out first.

Visited for 1 night only...(Sounds like a show...) Should have been 3 nights but our baby became ill. We found the site difficult to find. We followed directions gained from the postcode given on UKCS., but this leads to a village about 1 mile away. The site is directly opposite the airfield so head for that and you'll not go far wrong.
Nice flat site. Pitches well spread out over a number of fields. Showers & toilets very basic. Showers cost 50p for 5 Min's...and there are only 2 of them. Washing up & laundry facilities clean. Only 2 washing up sinks & washing machines so would probably be very busy when site full.
Site seemed to be more suited to caravans & motor-homes. There are a lot of seasonal pitches and a huge caravan storage area. We were the only tent in about 25 caravans. However the steward Mick is very friendly, and is really helpful. The owner, a lovely lady from the adjacent farm also came round checking everything was ok, and is also very friendly. The site is pretty well out in the country, the nearest shop being a garage some way away. There was some noise from the small planes landing & taking off from the adjacent airfield till about 7pm, cant say it bothered us though..
We used a hook-up for the first time. The steward told me that all but 2 were 16 amps. We were a good way from a hook-up post but Mick supplied us with an extension lead.
To summarise...a nice friendly site, well run. Facilities perhaps not the best but certainly presentable. Plenty of space, and not spoiled by some military owner with signs warning against everything short of breathing. Would probably visit again. Site is very handy for Stratford & Warwick. Good value, well kept and very friendly.
