Superb. The members were very friendly, welcoming and helpful.
Heart of the community.
It's a lovely setting, great place from which to explore, clean, warm, almost private facilities with only 5 vans allowed.

We arrived late afternoon to find pitch taken so moved to the only vacant pitch, everything ok but quite a trek to fetch water and Elsan point was quite a way. also having to walk through people as it was first day for pubs opening, decided to put awning up the following day when a large Motorhome appeared booked onto the pitch we were on. all pitches had been taken he then parked right in front of us restricting our view but only there for one night,
Overall we had a really good week and we shall return, close to the town and park
They just need to get their bookings sorted

This is a very friendly, well- situated site, in one of the friendliest towns in Calderdale.
It is a privilege to stay in one of the club’s private and well-situated Campervan sites, enjoying well-levelled hard standing, electric hookups- and lovely views of the carefully tended grounds, surrounding hills as well as being adjacent to Todmorden’s beautiful park.
Highly recommended

Tried this site for the many walks in this very scenic part of the world and found it to be just the job. Welcoming club house where you pay your pitch fees and they make you a member for the duration of your visit. The pitches are wide enough for your caravan car and an awning, . Water and waste are close too. Showers are not the best iv ever been in but for the price I wouldn't grumble.
Todmorden is blessed with lots of places to eat and drink. The polished knob just a short walk away is a lively place on a Friday night and there are several fish and chip shops cafes and wine bars,
overall I liked the site and the area and would definitely come again on top of this of a weekend in summer you get to watch cricket. Whilst there we walked the Calderdale way and this is a very good base for that and was easily done on a 7 night stay.

Booked 3 nights but stayed 4, everybody very friendly clubhouse nice and clean, prior to older reports toilets and showers still open when games are on. Town centre 5 to 10 minutes walk away with lots of shops and pubs and all decently priced, café just outside the gate and just to the left the weavers arms pub and 200metres along the road is jacks house pub. I will be going back there again.

We've just spent Bank Holiday Weekend here, even though we only live 20 mins drive away! The weather was typically British, but that's not their fault.
Be aware that the site is hard to contact as the phone is in the clubhouse, and so not answered unless it's open (7pm onwards during the week).
We arrived at 2.30pm and there was no-one around. We could also see that wherever we pitched, our EHU wouldn't reach the plug-in bit, so started to wonder whether to go up the road to Rough Hey Wood (no booking required). However, a lovely friendly man in a huge RV came to chat, told us there would be no-one there til 7, so suggested we just pitch. We explained the EHU problem, and he offered us an extension to borrow, and told us the club would be able to lend us one when they opened.
We decided to stay, and pitched on the sloping grass area. When the club opened, we popped in, got the key to the shower, and the lady told us we could probably get an EHU extension if the man came in with the key to the tackle room. Luckily he did, and we needed to borrow 2 extensions as the plug thingy was miles away! The other 4 or 5 tents that arrived later didn't want EHU and wouldn't have been able to have it without a good 100m extension.
The site is great - right next to huge Todmorden Park with a swimming pool, acres of grass for ball games, pitch and putt, tennis courts. All sorts of stuff for the kids. If there's a cricket match on, it's free for you to watch, so great fun. You have use of the bar (very cheap!) when the club is open, and the toilets.
Downside - there is only one shower and toilet, which you can't use when there's a match on because it's in the score box. There is also no potwash area, which was a pain.
We will go again, because it's a handy little site with lots for the kids, and also because Todmorden is a beatiful little town, close to Hebden Bridge and Sowerby Bridge, which we love too. Plenty of shops for foodstuffs, and a great market; lots of little independent shops too.
In summary, a lovely, friendly little site with lots to do close by, and plenty to do if you just like watching cricket. Just needs a shower block! Ooh - and it was only £10 a night for our huge tent; £9 without electric.

Stayed here august 2007 while cycle camping around Yorkshire for a week. There was a cricket match on when I arrived so was unable too use the shower toilet as these were in the umpires room.Staff in the club were very helpful enjoyed a few pints while watching the cricket. There is a small area next to the standings for motor homes for tents.Todmorden is a pleasant town, plenty of pubs, restaurants, takeaways etc and a very good indoor and outdoor market .Would visit again when I'm cycling in that area.

A real little find. Lovely setting looking over the cricket pitch and it is such a sun trap - if we ever get any! bar is great too. Very friendly and welcoming. Great walks for dog in park land next door. Hebden bridge is just down road too - and Heptonstall - very quirky, atmospheric places. Although there is only one shower/toilet in the umpires box, they are supposed to be building a toilet block but it was all very clean anyway. I would definitely visit again - useful base for west Yorks.

Been to Todmorden a few times over the last year and half. Even with the negatives about the camp site as mentioned below we love it. I go with my two children who love it, there is a very good park and a skate park next to the camp site that you can access through a gate in the hedge. As for the camp site its self, there are a few hard pitches for caravans and motor homes with electricity and two patches of grassed area for tents. The facilities are very basic one toilet/shower (in same room/ this is actually the umpires room so if cricket game on my be a little difficult to have a shower when ever you want one) available so if some one is having a shower in the morning you can not use the toilet. When the club house opens about 12/1pm you can then use the toilets in there until it closes about 1am, Cost £7 per night per tent + a £5 refundable charge for the key to open the toilet for the morning and during the night.
