Few touring pitches but very handy for M6 and beautiful location if not a little close to a railway line, we requested a grass pitch which was on a nice quite part of the park. The staff where very helpful and the club house had great entertainment on nearly every night shower block clean and functional with good hot showers, The swimming pool was very very busy with children was only nice for a quiet swim in the morning as by lunch it was full of families! Shop well stocked and reasonable price but closed over lunch though which I thought strange. All in all a good park I will definitely stop again. Next time I shall book so to be sure to get a quite pitch for the whole week.

Really just a static park with grass spaces for 5 tourers, and hardstandings in the car park near reception. Nicely kept site, lovely riverbank walks and the passing trains were close enough to be of interest to my 12 year old son the trainspotter but not loud enough to be a nuisance.
Nice pool area - but children all had cut feet from the rough stone/concrete at the bottom of the pool. (wear socks in the pool is my advice). Staff were helpful. Showers were 50p token for 5 minutes with no lightswitches (as we discovered to our cost at 9.30pm!) tokens ran out and we were running around in the dark trying to get conditioner out of our hair! But showers were hot and powerful, although you would need to put in £1 worth of tokens to get enough time! Shop prices were very reasonable for most things - unlike many sites, did not try to take advantage of the captive audience, which I thought was most fair.
Although we didnt have any difficulty, I understand from static residents that the management are very strict about childrents behaviour. My 12 year old boy got told off for using the girls toilets when the boys were locked (and we werent given a key). He has learning difficulties and was caught short, so didnt feel he had much choice!
All in all a pleasant, clean, well kept site but watch your feet in that pool and beware of £1 for a shower in the dark!

Grim! or was I spoilt at Lowther??? Anyway, arrived at lunchtime as arranged and there was no one there for 50 mins the warden said and he didnt know where I was going! but probably over there. Pointing to the carpark virtually underneath the arches of the mainline train track! So I parked up and walked around. The site was full of statics, old ones at that, and loud chaz and dave style music echoing around the site (make your own minds up about that!) Outdoor pool looked a bit ancient. Needless to say I turned around and ended up coming home! Might be alright for a overnight stop whilst travelling as near motorway as well as mainline! So take your earplugs!

Nice site. Chip shop nice, shower block clean but you need to pay for showers. If towing large van very tight to get on site, not many touring vans approx 5 grass 10 hard standing. Hard standing is just a car park. Didnt go to club house you have to be a member, great fishing on site.
