There's acres of space to pitch on and the owner couldn't of been more kind and helpful.
Plenty of space for playing and there is wonderful climbing wall there and after a challenging session on the ropes I enjoyed a coffee and shower.
A real effort has been made in the cleaning of the toilet block and I found it satisfactory, a higher standard than most campsites I have visited.
Northleach, a 20 minute walk away, is fantastic with a lovely butchers and grocers as well as 3 delightful pubs.
With next to no noise I will be returning a soon as possible.

Clean level pitches, lots of space - no playground, but lots space for kids to play. No shop - walking distance to village, lovely walks from the site - didn't use the car all weekend.
Not restricted how much space you use, no numbered pitches - very helpful chap who came round - you're left alone really to enjoy the nature of the area.
The toilet and showers are rustic! By the end of the weekend, were dirty and needed cleaning - but the natural site is worth taking your own loo roll for!
We will be returning in 2012 - the star gazing was amazing - weather permitting!

We stayed here for the late May bank holiday and were very pleased with the site. There was a good choice of pitches, although we had EHU so we were limited. The toilet block could be cleaner that's for sure.
Suggestions for improvements include better toilet block cleaning, bigger bins and more EHU pitches further away from the toilets.
Yes there was road noise but it was just white noise and there was some noise from the business units as others have said but it is a working farm and again we knew this before we went and with small children we were up early anyway.
The site manager is lovely and there was no rush to leave on the last day which is always a bonus!
The surrounding area is beautiful.
We had a lovely, if not slowly served, pub lunch in Northleach and would also recommend the Blades cafe at the main cross roads towards Northleach - a lovely cafe with free wifi and some children's toys for a internet fix!
There is also a chippy and small grocery shop in Northleach which we didn't use as Tesco in cirencester wasn't too far away.
If you have kids and it rains I can also recommend Magicland in Cirencester - a huge indoor play centre.

My wife and I and our 2yr old springer spaniel have just spent a long weekend here, and have been coming to this site for 3 years now. If you require camp shop, reception area, kids play ground, indoor heated shower and toilet block then this site is not for you. However if you require a completely laid back site, with the chill out factor and back to nature feel, then this is the place for you.
You can pitch exactly where you want, there are a few EHU points, but most are without. Water points are dotted around, (could probably do with a couple more) there are four spacious fields, so finding a pitch is not a problem. 2 separate shower and toilet blocks, await you, each containing 3 showers, and 4 toilets, separate hand basins, and pot wash. However these are outside, so when you have showered, you walk straight outside back onto the camping field. To us this has never been a problem, as the showers are always piping hot (free) and kept very clean, as is the rest of the facilities.
Michael the site manager will normally come and see you, depending on time of arrival. He never jumps on you for your money,(£12.00 per tent p/n) and always allows you to get settled in first. You do experience a little road noise, depending how near to the road you pitch. But with acres of ground to choose from, it should not be a problem.
The nearest pub is in North Leach, a 30 minute walk across the fields, where there are 3 pubs awaiting you. Also in the town is a Londis corner shop that sells milk, grocery's, papers etc. A bakers and butchers shop are also here, but if you require bigger shops then Cheltenham is not to far away. A walkers paradise can also be found not far from this site, with plenty of Cotswold pubs to quench your thirst.

I have just returned from a great weekend. The place is very much together and the loos and showers fantastic and clean. Great views and the children loved the climbing wall. Plenty of space for the children to enjoy themselves. The climbing wall even ran morning classes so that we could have a lie in ! We heard the road, but not an issue. Very well placed for walks, pubs and tourist locations.

We arrived for the august bank holiday on the Friday afternoon only to find this site almost empty. Typical fair weather campers had not turned up due to the wet bank holiday weather.
Great for us, we could choose where ever we wanted to pitch.
The site is basically split into camping areas, 1 is very flat, the one we chose is slightly further from the toilet block, and on a slight slope with flat patches, but much more space for the children to play. They are all separated by fences with a sparse sprinkle of taps for water in them.
Nice hedges break up the areas also so that you don't feel like you are camping ontop of someone else.
There is also an overflow campsite bit on the opposite side of the site with it's own very new (2months old at time of writing) toilet block.
This is more rural and I think after a very wet day, I'd be a little nervous to take my car to some areas of the field.
There are new toilet block fitted in the 'overflow' campsite which is in a meadow and rather damp under foot and not flat. They were a pleasure to shower/wash etc. In. However the hot water does run out there.
The main block seems to have unlimited hot (and I mean hot , very hot) water as every time we went there, sure enough hot and toasty.
Our experience was that it was very clean, however speaking to fellow campers, some moaned that it was not up to scratch.
I felt that this was a little unfair as this is more a basic campsite than an all singing, all dancing site.
We chose this site for value for money. Our children can entertain themselves, so don't need 101 playgrounds, an open field, big branch off a tree and imagination are all that is needed and this site offers all that space to do that.
Our fellow campers that weekend were lovely and great to chat to and share experiences. I can honestly say that the people I met there were some of the most friendly campers I've ever met and all in 1 site. Coincidence or not, it was a very pleasant surprise.
Locally to this site were a number of walks and attractions. Most to be honest are driving distance, but only 4-10miles.
The corn maze at Hipcot is worth a visit with kids, but no push chairs :o)
Likewise it's worth looking up local walks in Sherborne for the kids
My biggest criticism to this site was the main road next to it, this is noisy, even camping as far from it as possible. That said, it quietens down at night and to be honest, apart from early evening when cooking dinner we did not really notice it.
The other Criticism I have is the sign posting for it, the site is off the main road, down a road by the petrol station. We shot past coming from the north and it's a couple of miles before a safe turn around point.
There is a campsite sign, but by the time we'd read it, we were well gone.

Too noisy! - Road Noise -terrible - take earplugs
Industrial Unit - 7 'o clock Monday morning, men shouting, door opening, lorry revving, 7 '0 clock!
Too dirty! - Alright it was September and Not Busy but the toilets and showers were not cleaned in the 3 days I was here.
Booking in! - Don't bother, you won't find out how to, no directions, we just pitched.
Any good points? - Brilliant location. Northleach is a wonderful little town (take the bridle path if walking, cycling, ignore the barking dogs on the way - they're friendly enough). Had a great weekend, just didn't bother showering after the 1st time. Bought Earplugs and slept well.
Try the pub at Guiting Power - the Farmers Arms - dead friendly, good food and if you are cycling call in for a cuppa during the day. Much cheaper the than the more famous Hollow Botton Pub.
Musical museum Nothleach is an absolute must!

I have just been to stay again at this site. Wild rock climbing is well worth having ago at. It is only 30 yards away with some great instructors to help (tip bring your track shoes to climb in).
It even has coffee and cold drinks for sale! Very relaxed and well run site

We stayed at this site last weekend. We found the facilities to be very clean and well thought out. Plenty of hot water, good lighting. The grass had been newly cut and an additional camping area had been created since our last visit. When we were there they were just finishing a new indoor climbing centre right next door which looked fantastic. I believe it will be called Wild Rock. Well worth visit.

The site was peaceful and virtually empty - and that is despite the nearby road (its behind trees and gets much quieter at night) and 'white' noise from nearby machinery. The facilities were clean enough and tidy enough and well lit enough. I found it friendly and welcoming and cheaper than expected. Good stop off point for travels down the Fosse Way!
