This is a wonderful site for motorised campers, with excellent facilities, gobsmacking coastal views, and helpful staff. The place deserves your support as its run by crofters trying to diversify to help preserve the islands' way of life. There's a cafe on site and a craft shop with absolute bargain hand knitted ware.
Sadly, however, it can't be recommended for tents, as the ground allocated is boggy, and a fair trek from your car. We went in good weather after a dry spell, I wouldn't have liked to pitch there in worse conditions. Shame, as the site has so much going for it otherwise. I suspect that the layout was planned by people who'd never actually tent camped.

This site site has just opened and as you would expect everything is pristine. Its location set close to the road overlooking the Drongs Sea Stacks is spectacular and is excellent for exploring the Eshaness area with Tangwick Ha Museum, the dramatic coastal scenery and the wildlife (otters, seals and dolphins) on the doorstep.
The site has a cafe (food is excellent), gift shop and a small gallery. The site also has a laundry and showers and is reasonably priced at £5 to £10 per unit. The staff and also very friendly and knowledgeable about the local attractions etc.
The actual campsite is an extension of the tarmac car park with no divisions between units but all with ehu's, tents are accommodated on a wildflower area next to this. Tent campers having to carry their equipment past the caravans as they have to park in the cafe car park. We stayed for one night but passed the site several times but it only ever had a maximum of 3 units staying although this was midsummer.
It is definitely one of the best campsites on the islands but 5 miles up the road is the spectacular Eshaness Cliffs where everyone wild camps, most people visiting/staying at this site every few days to empty tanks and use the facilities.
