We booked ahead so when we arrived expected to just be shown where to pitch, when we knocked at door no answer so we phoned owner was in but the rugby was too good so she got someone else to show where to pitch which is right next to track in, a very small site.
Only a neighbour showed us where chemical loo was and water tap.
Site was advertised as hardstanding which was a joke as all hardstanding pitches were used for long term storage vans.
This site is run down, toilets were clean but the farm cockerels kept me awake at 4 am and you are in a valley so tv signal is very poor.
But for price this is unbeatable at just a tenner

This is a tiny site on the edge of the New Forest. The site belongs to a family who have farmed there for many years, Mrs Keats was very welcoming and helpful.
Tents have to pitch on the left, caravans on the right. We wanted a hook up for our tent and the lead would not stretch across the field so Mrs Keats lent us an extension.
The site is on a hill but flat at the bottom where the tents are.
There are two toilets and one shower for the whole site which was fine as most of the units had their own. These are joined onto Mrs Keat's house and kept very clean.
There is no play area and not much room for ball games etc but a short walk from the site took you to the village green and the forest.
We ate at the Lamb Inn which was just fab, also I'm told the French restaurant next door is good.
Not sure we would go back as not enough space for our boys but prices were very reasonable at £12 a night with hook up for a family of five.

We stayed here for three nights in the summer holidays. The owner is friendly and welcoming and will deal with any issues that arise. The campsite is surrounded by a field with some friendly horses and was quiet and relaxing apart from the cockerel down the road (you don't really hear it after the first morning!)
The children had a lovely time and everyone else on the site were also friendly. The shower was a bit too open for my taste as the blind broke after and I felt the opaque glass did not cover enough! It was clean as were the toilets. We were so thrilled with the setting we are looking to return again this year and we are looking forward to it! The local pub was also yummy!

We visited this site the beginning of August for two weeks. We have never been to this site before and were very impressed. It is the type of site we have been looking for in this area for years.Don't get me wrong if you are looking for large toilet and shower blocks, take away, shop etc you will be disappointed as this site has none. But it does have two very clean toilets and one shower. They are quite a walk away at the top of the site but at least you will not get(that pitch)right next to it. Although the site does slope quite a bit its possible to level out the unit.If you are looking for a site right in the new forest that is friendly, clean, quiet and well priced this is the site for you.All pitches can have electric hookup and the owner will even lend you an extension lead if required. The village has a very good pub the lamb and a French restaurant. There is a very well stocked local shop in the next village great for local eggs, bread, papers etc. We will definitely be returning next year.

Just returned from this site and all I can say is great. Stayed for 3nights and enjoyed so much. Took a 14 year old and a 8 year old and come the last day they didn't want to come home. They were playing with the other kids on site every night. All the people on site were very friendly. Its a basic site but come the end you don't want to go home :( . A must! horses in the field and a 2mins to a nice pub.A short walk and your in the forest. At home now and wish we were still there!

Excellent small campsite on the northern edge of the New Forest.
OK, it only has 2 unisex toilets and 1 shower, plus on outside dish washing sink, and 1 drinking water tap - but it is a small site, and I found it perfect for the price. Too many New Forest sites are 'all-singing-all-dancing' affairs, so expensive, or they are very basic - tap and chemical loo - so this one falls very nicely in between.
The owner was very welcoming, and friendly, and the whole site had a good relaxed feel about it.
The field is long and narrow, with the caravans etc on one side and the tents further down on the other. It was reasonably flat for the tents, and the ground was good - didn't look like it would flood or get too muddy in the rain.
There is no shop near by,so bring provisions, but a good pub for food and drinks only a few mins walk away. And this area of the Forest feels less developed than the areas further south, you certainly feel in the country here.
Over all I would rate this a good site, and would use it again.

This is a great value for money site £10 per night including ehu.Yes the facilities are not the best but they are clean and in good working order.2 toilets and 1 shower and washing up facilities next to the house.
There are horses in the adjacent field donkeys and pigs nearby so you feel that you are in the countryside not just in someone's back garden.
The views are fantastic and the host is lovely.
I can recommend this site to any one who wants a small quiet site in the new forest.
The field itself does slope but if you can pitch at the bottom it is fine.

A small site in a good position, but let down by it's lack of facilities.
We stayed at this site for 3 nights over the Easter bank holiday weekend. Situated just on the edge of the New Forest it accommodates up to 5 caravans & 5 tent pitches. We got a friendly welcome & a brief 'what's where' chat.
The site is a slightly sloping narrow strip of land behind the owners house, with caravans on one side, tents on the other. There's a nice pub & restaurant within 5 mins walk & the New Forest is a stones throw away.
Luckily it wasn't full as the site doesn't really have sufficient facilities. There are two unisex toilets & one shower (which goes cold if either toilet is flushed!). One standpipe provides water for all. There are plenty of bins for rubbish & recycling, but these weren't emptied all weekend.
If you don't mind waiting for the loo & longer for a shower then the reasonable pitch prices might make it worth a visit, but I doubt we'll be going back.

This is a delightful site with view over horse paddock and rolling countryside.
All necessary amenities and friendly welcome.Very well placed for walkers with or without dogs, close to forest walks.
New Forest ponies and donkeys often congregate on the village green.
A little gem.

Excellent campsite! Owner very friendly and welcoming. Nice and quiet in a lovely setting, right on the edge of the New Forest. Kids loved it - especially the 'mud hole' at the bottom of the site! Who needs expensive toys when you have mud and water.
Highly recommended.
