Just got back from a 2 night break here, last minute and site only had availability by the toilet block, which turned out a bonus. Had a lovely stay, relaxing, tranquil site, very friendly, helpful and did not hassle us (as we are novices to camping) Basic facilities but fine for a couple of days and informed us they are getting showers soon so would definitely return. Visited local towns of Lowestoft and Southwold very pleasant and we are regulars to Gt. Yarmouth. Didn't visit the local pub but I hear good things but I can recommend the Fish and Chip shop best Fish & chips we have had in a long time and very reasonable fed our family of 4 adults and 4 teenagers fish & chips and saveloy & chips all round for only £26. Freshest fish we have had in a long time. I would definitely recommend this site and when the showers are in - fantastic. Will definitely try to return.

Our first camping trip, and we loved it.
This campsite has basic facilities, but very clean especially the toilets.
Owners very friendly and helpful, Pitch was more than big enought for our 5 man tent and could park next to the Tent. Great place to take your dogs, lots of footpaths to follow and field to exercise them in.
Site was busy but not overcrowded good mixture of Tents and caravans all sizes mixed together.
Site was generally quiet and peaceful, with some good fishing ponds. Easy to find just off the A12.
Local village was 5 minutes away has Chinese takeaway, Fish & Chip Shop, Cafe and Pub/restaurant. Beccles & Lowestoft nearby plenty of places to visit.
Would definitely go back again and would recommend it for a lovely weekend.

Nicky the owner was lovely and very helpful! My partner very much enjoyed the fishing, he only fished for one day and although didn't catch anything of much substance he caught about 30 fish in total which made him happy, he only fished the smaller ponds hence the smaller fish but apparently the bigger ponds have carp up to about 30lb, he also thought the on site tackle shop was actually very good for it's size.
Toilets were basic, no fancy frills but there was always loo paper! The real down side for us was there not being a shower block, although for 3 nights and rubbish weather it didn't really matter an awful lot but we personally wouldn't be able to do a week in the summer which is a real shame.
The price was very reasonable, only £8 per night for two adults and then £1 extra for each of the dogs. I would be willing to pay more though if there was a shower on site.
There was a nice place to walk the dogs and let them run off steam off lead. Pitch for the tent was nice and flat and we weren't restricted on where we pitched either so lots of room between tents.
Around locally is a chinese takeaway, fish and chip shop, Morrisons, Tesco's. Places like Lowestoft and Southwold not far away either, 10 min drive perhaps.
We will definitely go back one day, but for us it's more of a long weekend away place than week long holiday.

We went along to the campsite not knowing what to expect. Normally we stay a few days and then move on and in the three years we have been camping we have never gone back to the same place twice, but we stayed for ten days and are planning to go back at the end of this month. The site was spacious enough to have your own space and the fishing is excellent(pulled a fish out every thirty seconds. Not having a shower block was a little bit of a inconvenience but a bowl of water and some baby wipes solved that problem. The only thing that we found caused any problem was the no hook ups for the tents. The price of the site and the fishing was very reasonable compared to the price we have paid at some places. Nicky and Kevin were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The one thing that really puts me off a place is when you are hounded for the payments for the fishing or the camp, this wasn't an issue at all, when Nicky saw you, you paid for the days fishing, she was always about so if she didn't catch you the first time round she waited till later (we have been on some sites were the owner stands and waits for you to return back to the pond for the payment) A tranquil relaxing place to go and we can't wait till we return in a few weeks time.

Great site but toilets let it down, just a good clean with bleach would be sufficient. Could do with showers. Fishing good, Nicky very helpful. Beach was two miles away in cove hithe, very interesting. Cafe about a mile away in wrentham. We had plenty of room to play games with the kids, overall a very nice campsite will be going again.

Very highly recommend this site for families who like to fish. Nice tidy site, basic toilet block but clean, lovely peaceful area. We cycled locally but drove about 20 mins in the car to Bungay for a swim in a lovely pool with fun flume for the kids. Site owners were very nice too. We'll definitely go again.

What a refreshing change from the rules and regulations some other sites have! We have 2 large but well behaved dogs and did not feel that we had to keep them permanently tethered, so they had a lovely time too, especially the leadless walks around adjoining fields, no traffic worries either. Site is basic( wonderful!) but very tidy, fishing lakes are really well maintained. Owners are friendly but leave you to your own devices. We will go back asap, ideal for a short weekend break.

If you are looking for super loos and posh pitches don't go here. BUT if you want smashing site owners and a wealth of wildlife this is the site for you. We had a brilliant time. Great location and easy, friendly people. Watch the barn owl from your van and enjoy the peace and tranquility. Will def. Visit again.

This is a fantastic venue for all ,from young to old. The facilities are more than adequate.
The Camp Site has all level ground and the grass is cut regularly. There is a chemical disposal unit and a block of Toilets. Not forgetting fresh water as well.
Or you can hire one of the Static Caravans. ( They are very nice)
The highlight is the beautiful laid out 6 Fishing Lakes, well stocked with all varieties of fish. With superb access for both able and disabled anglers. You can also purchase anything you need to make your fishing day complete.
Baits of all descriptions, and tackle are available and you will be served most courteously by Kevin or Nicky. They work very hard to make this venue a pleasure to visit.
So if you fancy a day or even a weeks break with Fishing in mind , or a bit of peace and tranquillity, this is the place to go.

Booked just a couple of days before August Bank Holiday and they were originally full but opened another field (by cutting the grass) so the site was a bit further away from the facilities than the "normal" campsite" however it was not busy at this field and good enough, the site was levelled.
This is a basic campsite with no showers but the owners are very friendly and helpful, I would definitely recommend it if you want a basic quiet campsite. I'm not in to fishing (yet) but the fishing facilities seemed good.
This was my first time in Suffolk and not the last. The site was closed to Southwold and other beach resort. Also great for walking/Cycling. The nearest pub is about a 1 mile away, I didn't go in but it seemed fine.
I would go back to this site again!
