I'd like to say avoid this site at all cost but that's being selfish it's so there would be room on this 5 van site for whenever we get the chance to return! In truth it is a brilliant site, level, relaxing, very friendly and helpful owners and spotlessly clean. The worst thing about it is having to go home at the end of your stay!
Fishing on site is brilliant and many well sheltered spots. Even a bench for none fisher folk to watch us 'land em 'or just enjoy watching the kingfishers. I had one sit on the end of my rod-amazing!
Local walks, and a short drive into Woodall Spa or slightly longer to Horncastle. In either place you can pick up cycle route from W. Spa to Horncastle or vice versa.
The carvery at the newly opened Lancaster Hotel in Woodall well worth recommending.
As we didn't want our visit to end can't wait to return.
A Big Thank You

My husband and I visited this site on the 26th of December for 7 nights, adults only with fishing lake perfect.
We were put on the car park next to the lake which meant a very short walk to fish.
The fishing was very good with a good variety of fish, keep nets are allowed for silvers etc no carp in nets.
The site has plenty of space and is very well kept with a clean toilet and shower [yes there is a mirror in the toilet and shower rooms]
We visited the Ebrington arms pub next door to the site and had a very good meal at value prices.
We have booked for Easter bank holiday weekend we would of booked a earlier return visit but its 159 miles away and takes over 3hrs.
In all a very pleasant site with good fishing.
Well worth a visit.

What a find - smashing 5 van Caravan Club CL. Flat field with the added facility of Showers/toilets(very clean) plus electric hook up. In a small village with a local pub where you must book for evening meals and several Real Ales on offer. We don't fish but a busy fishing lake on site.
We managed a bus trip out - you have to ring and book the bus which arrived on time and took us to Woodhall Spa. Buses also to Sleaford and Horncastle.
This is an Adults Only site - but well worth a visit.

Great site with new wardens since last year, they were so friendly and helpful with nothing being too much trouble. Shower block really tidied up and redecorated since last year and spotless.
Flowers being planted around the reception area and general everything spruced up and well maintained.
Lovely walks with the dogs although sadly nature reserves they were not allowed in, even on a short lead. But plenty of other places to walk and this would not stop us revisiting.
I did walk in the nature reserve next to the site and it was well worth the visit. Woodhall spa is a lovely village with lots to see and do.
Do visit the Petwood Hotel and walk round their garden, dogs welcome on a lead, the rhododendrons were fabulous.
The food here was excellent and reasonably priced.

Stayed Friday and Saturday night.
Excellent CL site with easy access. Owners both very friendly and Helpful. On hand as soon as we arrived, advising us where to pitch(Ground soft in places). Field large and level. Facilities (toilet and shower both suitable for wheelchair users)looked new and were clean.
Site backs on to the river Bain, lovely walk through the village and then along the far riverbank.
We booked this site because of it's proximity to the village pub (next door). We had wanted to eat there the Saturday night, but on enquiry found it to be fully booked.
Advice No 1. Book meal at Ebrington Arms pub early to avoid disappointment.
Advise No 2. Take 'Green Toilet tank Chemicals' only this type allowed in the septic tank.
My husbands only critisism, no mirror in the shower room or toilet for shaving.
